Chapter 366: Chapter 288: The Reward for Tongtian Jiaozhu!
Chapter 288: The Reward for Tongtian Jiaozhu!
Moreover, these already destitute clans, how could they possibly cause any trouble? If something serious were to happen, they'd surely be the first to be blamed.
Yet, no matter how they deliberated, they still couldn't find any trace or information about the other three people. Even the powerful ones tried deducing with their abilities but found no clue, much like Ye Tian—absolutely untraceable.
This led them to speculate that these three must have some connection to Ye Tian. Otherwise, why would such unfamiliar individuals suddenly appear one after another?
Unable to make sense of it at the moment, they watched as the three women claimed their rewards. But the rewards kept coming.
The following four rewards were granted to Tongtian Jiaozhu for his achievements with the Four Swords of Immortal Execution. Although he no longer possessed the swords, the ranking rewards still had to be given.
As these rewards were announced, the crowd couldn't help but envy him. After all, four rewards at once! Many powerful beings would be thrilled to receive even one reward.
Some hadn't received anything, so their envy was palpable. However, Tongtian is a saint; no one dared voice their discontent, resorting instead to offering flattery from the sidelines.
Lei Zhenzi: "This time, Tongtian's hands will be full of rewards! All four of these are his, one after another—who wouldn't envy that?"
Erlang Shen: "None of us even made it onto the list. Many don't even have decent weapons, and witnessing this makes me envious. But such disparity is to be expected. The saints' strength is overwhelming, so naturally, they possess formidable weapons."
Sun Wukong: "At least my luck held, just barely making it into the top hundred. Any lower, and I'd have nothing. But surely the reward for being a hundredth isn't nearly as good as those higher up!"
Guanyin: "Tongtian's four rewards have both high ranks and impressive quantity. With what he has already claimed, he's acquired a staggering amount from the Golden List. Once he has absorbed these, he might rise even higher among the saints!"
Although quantity can't replace quality, Tongtian's rewards aren't lacking; each is a rare innate treasure, and he's amassed several. Truly, he is the biggest winner on the Golden List.
Of course, Ye Tian's rewards still stand out, as he holds the top three spots. The wealth of these rewards is unimaginable to others. Even knowing what he received, they can't fathom its true power.
While Tongtian's count slightly surpasses Ye Tian's, in quality, his rewards combined can't match one of Ye Tian's. Yet, Tongtian is more than satisfied.
As each of Tongtian's rewards was revealed, others were left in awe.
Weapon List Reward, 17th Place: Eastern Flag of Wood Growth
Innate Spirit Treasure, One of the Four Flags, Symbolizes Life. When combined with the other flags, forms a grand array.
Weapon List Reward, 18th Place: Western Flag of Metal Sharpness
Innate Spirit Treasure, One of the Four Flags, Symbolizes Destruction. When combined with the other flags, forms a grand array.
Weapon List Reward, 19th Place: Southern Flag of Black Water
Innate Spirit Treasure, One of the Four Flags, Symbolizes Control. When combined with the other flags, forms a grand array.
Weapon List Reward, 20th Place: Northern Flag of Earth Fortification
Innate Spirit Treasure, One of the Four Flags, Symbolizes Defense. When combined with the other flags, forms a grand array.
When these rewards appeared, everyone was astonished. Though they knew the Golden List rewards were impressive, seeing four consecutive rewards turn out to be a complete set was unexpected.
A single item's power may be limited, but a complete set is entirely different. Sets of treasures are powerful because they unleash a force surpassing other artifacts of the same level.
Additionally, set items, especially flags, usually have potent formation abilities. Just the presence of these rewards left others breathless and thrilled. They hadn't expected the rewards in the top twenty to be this grand.
Sets are hard to come by and, once lost, are difficult to reunite. The Golden List, however, guaranteed the completeness of the rewards.
In addition to the Four Flags, Tongtian had another set of rewards:
Weapon List Reward, 17th Place: Primal Water Spirit Pearl
One of the Five Spirit Pearls, Contains the Power of All Water. Usable in offense or defense and can form the Five Elements Array. Requires all five pearls.
Weapon List Reward, 18th Place: Primal Fire Spirit Pearl
One of the Five Spirit Pearls, Contains the Power of All Fire. Essential for the Five Elements Array.
Weapon List Reward, 19th Place: Primal Earth Spirit Pearl
One of the Five Spirit Pearls, the most critical, forming the foundation and core of the Five Elements Array.
Weapon List Reward, 20th Place: Primal Metal Spirit Pearl
One of the Five Spirit Pearls, Contains the Power of All Metal. Essential for the Five Elements Array.
Tongtian had both rewards before him, yet he leaned toward the second set, as the Spirit Pearls were slightly superior to the Four Flags. However, his rank only permitted four rewards.
The absence of the fifth Spirit Pearl meant he couldn't access its full power, not even a third of it. Selecting the Spirit Pearls would be a huge loss without the final pearl, which he had no way of locating.
Thus, he reluctantly chose the Four Flags. Although they were slightly weaker, they were still powerful tools for formations, and he had the complete set among his four rewards.
By choosing the Four Flags, he could fully utilize their potential—a far better option than an incomplete set of Spirit Pearls.
