Lord Yan, The Little Ancestor Has Fallen Off The Horse Again!

Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Kicking the Iron Plate

Yun Yue pushed away the green-haired youth, intending to just teach him a lesson, but she didn't hold back her strength and ended up breaking it!

The frown on her forehead deepened, it seemed she'd have to fight with the boy before her to get away.

She nodded slightly, "Alright, but if you lose, you have to pick up the cans outside for me, and don't come looking for trouble with me in the future!"

It wasn't that she feared them causing trouble for her but that she didn't want her grandmother to find out and worry.

Wei Xuan was taken aback for a moment, not expecting her to say that, but he agreed. Where did she get the confidence that she would win?

"Boss, avenge me; I want her hands crippled!" the green-haired youth's voice trembled with pain.

A fierce glance flashed in Wei Xuan's eyes, "Don't worry, I'll definitely avenge you!"

With that, he moved quickly, his fist clenched and thrusting towards Yun Yue with a shout. If that punch landed on her, her bones would be scattered!

He was, after all, a Taekwondo Eighth Dan!

"Remember to pick up those drinks you left behind as well," Yun Yue's voice drifted eerily from the alley into their ears, those could sell for two yuan.

Upon hearing this, the three of them were kicking themselves, grinding their teeth as they asked the convenience store owner for a sack. Seeing them bruised and battered, the owner was both scared and curious — who could have beaten these delinquents to such a state?

Did they kick an iron plate?

The green-haired youth, with tears in his eyes, picked up the cans and bottles with his left hand. What a mess!

Their leader was unable to defeat the scrap-collecting girl, and he was a Taekwondo Eighth Dan!

Where did she get such strength and skill from!

No one knew better than him how his hand had been broken. It was done directly, simply, violently, and efficiently!

Wei Xuan, since coming out of the alley, hadn't said a word. After picking everything up, he handed it to Yun Yue and looked at her with complex eyes, still unable to figure out how he had lost to the scrap-collecting girl!

Yun Yue eyed the bulging sack, her eyes curved into a smile, and with her right hand, she took it and swung it over her shoulder. Her lips moved slightly, "Thanks, remember what you said, otherwise, I wouldn't mind getting some more exercise."

That seemingly light remark sent chills down the spines of all three of them.

As they watched her leave, the green-haired youth grimaced from the pain, only then remembering his hand was still broken...

Yun Yue, with the sack on her back, went to the scrap purchasing place. The owner, seeing her, smiled and said, "Yueyue, you're helping your grandma with the recycling again, huh? You've got quite a lot today."

Yun Yue weighed the sack and then grinned, "Indeed."

"Twelve yuan and thirty cents," said the owner, eyeing the scale, then he handed her the money.

Yun Yue took it, thanked him, and then left.

Liu Lanfang had finished preparing the meal and was waiting for Yun Yue to return. Usually, she would be back by this time, but when ten minutes passed without a sign of her, she was about to go look for her when she saw her granddaughter, with her hands in her pockets and in a good mood, walking up the stairs.

"I had good luck today, earned a bit more than usual," Yun Yue said with a smile, placing the money on the table.

"You, you! Insisting on going out in such hot weather, what if you get heatstroke? Wipe yourself off quickly." Liu Lanfang handed a wet towel to her before preparing her a bowl of egg soup, placing the only egg, a sunny-side-up, in her bowl.

Yun Yue took off her hat; her hair strands were damp with sweat and clung to her face. She casually brushed them aside with her hand and wiped her face carelessly with the wet towel before picking up her chopsticks.

"Wash your hands before eating, you're a grown-up," scolded Liu Lanfang, knocking the chopsticks out of her hand. Yun Yue could only reluctantly go to wash her hands—she wouldn't be eating with them anyway.

Looking at the sunny-side-up egg in her bowl, she ate the whites and then placed the yolk in Liu Lanfang's bowl, frowning, "I don't eat the yolk."

Liu Lanfang muttered a few words under her breath and grumpily ate the yolk.

"Your father called; he said he wants you to go to the city for school. There's still a year of high school left. With some hard work, you could get into a good university."

Liu Lanfang's voice came from the kitchen, mingled with the clatter of bowls and chopsticks.

Yun Yue stared at the desktop television in front of her, with only a few CCTV channels available. Right now, she was watching the news, but her voice hitched upon hearing those words.

"I'm not going." Her tone was unpleasant. She expelled the two words as if she was left all alone when she went to the city.

"Whether you want to go or not, you have to go. I've already agreed on your behalf." Liu Lanfang emerged from the kitchen, looking at her with displeasure, "I know what you're thinking. This old lady is already one foot in the grave, but you've still got most of your life ahead of you. Getting into a good university is beneficial for you."

Agitated, Yun Yue tossed the remote onto the couch, walked into her room, and then closed the door.

She and her grandmother lived in a sixty-square-meter rental. Small, perhaps, but still completely sufficient for the two of them.

Her room was very simple, with a bed one meter twenty in width, a small wardrobe, and a desk. On the table was an old computer; the rest was all books.

However, all these books were for leisure reading, which she enjoyed flipping through whenever she had free time. Liu Lanfang didn't know where she got all these books from and didn't ask further.

At the end of August, just before the start of the school year, a BMW stopped below Yun Yue's house. Descending from it were a middle-aged man and a well-dressed woman.

"Is this the place?" Lin Xiang frowned. The building looked old and worn out, as if it was built decades ago.

She was wearing high heels and carrying a designer handbag, her hair slightly curled; from her demeanor, she appeared quite graceful.

"This should be it," Yun Zhonghai nodded somewhat uncertainly.

"How come you only told me now that you have a mother and daughter? If I'd known earlier, I would've brought them to live with us. Instead, you're enjoying life while forcing your mother and daughter to suffer here. You're really something!" Lin Xiang's face showed her displeasure upon learning just recently that he had a daughter and a mother from a previous marriage.

Her health was frail, and despite being married to him for a while, she hadn't had children of her own. She had often thought how nice it would be to have a daughter, and now he'd kept it so well hidden.

Lin Xiang, with determined steps in her high heels, spoke firmly, "Don't say a word this time. I'm determined to take Yueyue and Mom home with me. It will be good for Xuan Ze to have a companion."

When Yun Zhonghai married into the Lin Family, they had conducted a thorough background check. His profile seemed impeccably clean, otherwise. It was only recently, upon discovering he was regularly transferring five thousand yuan to the same account each month, she initially suspected infidelity. Only upon questioning did she find out about his daughter and mother!

If it weren't for the fact that the phone conversation revealed Yueyue had wished to wait until the school year started to move, Lin Xiang would have already brought both of them over. She had even prepared the room for them.

Yun Zhonghai was taken aback. What was wrong with him speaking anyway? But still, he nodded, knowing his place.

Lin Xiang straightened her clothes and revealed her graceful countenance. She exhaled slowly before finally knocking on the door.

The person who answered the door was Liu Lanfang. Seeing Lin Xiang, she appeared surprised but before she could speak, Lin Xiang had already called out "Mom".

"Mom, I'm Zhonghai's wife," Lin Xiang called out with a sour heart. Her mother had passed away early on, and she had always wished her mother was still alive. Learning that Yun Zhonghai still had a mother had made her outrageously angry!
