When Haruya stepped through the portal, Daiki stood before him, a smile on his face.

"Captain Daiki..."

Haruya's excitement was palpable the moment he emerged. Seeing Daiki, he couldn't contain himself and exclaimed,

"Daiki, I didn't expect you to be the first one out here. This is such a surprise!"

Daiki chuckled in response. "Haruya, your enthusiasm never fails to amaze me."

Before Daiki could continue, the troops following them began streaming through the portal. Knowing their mission's urgency, Daiki quickly took charge.

"Alright, everyone, keep moving! Let's not block the road here!"

"Yes, sir!" Haruya echoed, stepping aside as the soldiers continued filing in.

The journey to Skypiea had left everyone in awe. One moment, they were in the Tru Kingdom, and the next, they found themselves 10,000 meters above the sea, standing on an island of clouds.

For many, this was their first time venturing beyond their homeland, let alone experiencing the wonders of Skypiea.

The troops' excitement was evident. Though they were here on official orders, the sheer novelty of the environment made it difficult to focus.

Still, Daiki maintained a composed and authoritative demeanour. As the army commander, he knew the importance of setting an example. His stern gaze ensured that order prevailed as the troops lined up behind him.

Nearby, the kingdom guards stationed on Skypiea stood in formation, their imposing presence adding to the discipline.

They were positioned strategically on either side of the space portal, exuding an air of authority that intimidated even the most excitable newcomers.

Despite the commotion in Shandora, the rest of Skypiea remained undisturbed. For the past two weeks, the residents of Angel Island and the Shandian tribe had been assisting in constructing a military base for the newcomers.

Though not yet complete, the influx of manpower would accelerate its progress. The use of Island Cloud as a primary building material had been a stroke of genius, enabling the creation of a functional yet aesthetically pleasing base.

"Guota," Daiki called out, addressing a nearby officer, "organize the new arrivals and guide them to their assigned quarters. Once everyone is settled, gather in the main square for a briefing."

"Understood, Captain!" Guota saluted sharply before leading his team to carry out the orders.

As the troops dispersed, Haruya leaned toward Daiki with a grin. "Brother Daiki, isn't Skypiea amazing? I can't wait to explore every corner of this place!"

Daiki sighed, shaking his head. "Haruya, let me remind you: the only areas we're permitted to roam are those designated for our operations. Straying into restricted zones, especially the Upper Yard, is strictly prohibited. His Majesty gave explicit orders about this. Don't get yourself into trouble!"

Haruya scratched his head sheepishly. "I get it, I get it. But it's hard not to be curious when you're surrounded by something this incredible."

Daiki's expression softened. "There will be opportunities in the future. Once our base is fully operational, supply runs to Angel Island will be routine. If you behave, I might let you tag along."

"Really? Thanks, Captain!"

"Don't thank me yet. Remember, this is still a military operation, not a vacation. Follow the rules, and you won't have any issues."

Meanwhile, the soldiers were settling into their quarters. Each dormitory accommodated four people and was furnished with beds made entirely of Island Cloud.

The soldiers, many of whom had never seen such luxury, were amazed. They eagerly dropped their gear and flopped onto the cloud-like beds, marvelling at their softness.

"This is incredible," one soldier said, his eyes closed as he sank into the bed. "If we could bring these back to the kingdom, they'd sell for a fortune!"

"Don't even think about it," Guota interjected, overhearing the comment. "His Majesty has strictly forbidden the export of Skypiea's resources to the Blue Sea. Everything here stays here. Understood?"

"Yes, sir!" the soldier replied, albeit reluctantly.

As night fell over Skypiea, the troops began to settle into their new reality. Though they were here on a mission, the surreal beauty of the island left an impression none of them would soon forget.
