Chapter 80 - They Don't Dare Pick It Up
“What happened?”
Du Ba Tianxia’s eyes narrowed as he gave Qian Chonglang, who was surrounded by a circle of players, an inquiring look.
He hadn’t heard any commotion. Why did Dharma Demon say someone was fighting the boss?
“Someone has already started fighting the boss ahead of us!” Qian Chonglang’s expression changed slightly. “You may not be aware, but Dharma Demon’s hearing is exceptionally sharp. In reality… he’s definitely not mistaken.”
“That amazing?” Du Ba Tianxia was a bit surprised, but then his expression relaxed.
“Even if someone is fighting the boss, there’s no need for Dharma Demon to be in such a rush, right?”
“Not too sure. We’ll find out when we get there.” Qian Chonglang squeezed out from the crowd of players.
With a long bow in hand, he shot an arrow and took off running after it.
“Damn, what kind of divine technique is that? He’s running so fast!”
Seeing Qian Chonglang’s rapidly receding figure, Sword Demon Hong Shan and the other players’ jaws dropped in astonishment.
“This is a small trick for archers called Spiral Arrow. By utilizing the force of a spiraling arrow, it creates a mini whirlwind. Paired with the archer’s Light Footed Step, it can slightly increase an archer’s movement speed. You should all learn from it.”
Du Ba Tianxia sighed softly, “This is the difference between legendary players and ordinary players. Any skill, in their hands, has a special effect.”
“Awesome!” Sword Demon Hong Shan gave a thumbs up.
“Before, I always thought I was an expert, not too far behind those legendary or mythical-level players. Now I know I’m just a fart!”
“Hmph.” After hearing his words, Du Ba Tianxia was also somewhat speechless. “Legendaries are called legendaries for a reason. Naturally, it’s not that simple. The gap is still a gap, very difficult to bridge.”
“Let’s go. Head up and take a look. I reckon the Subtle Fragrance Clan took the lead on this one. Perfect, we can take this chance to wipe out their elite team. Maybe it can make up for the losses from this operation.”
The corner of Du Ba Tianxia’s mouth turned cold as he waved his hand.
…
Qian Chonglang caught up to Dharma Demon at a small hill. Seeing his back trembling slightly under the blazing sun, Qian Chonglang became quite curious.
Walking up, Qian Chonglang noticed Dharma Demon’s gaze held a hint of excitement, making him even more intrigued.
He had known Dharma Demon for so long, but besides a few incredible bigshots, he had never seen him show this kind of expression towards anyone.
Following Dharma Demon’s line of sight, he looked down the hill and was a bit dumbfounded.
“What’s the meaning of this? Someone already killed the boss? How is that possible?”
Qian Chonglang’s eyes went wide as he stared at the several glimmering lights on the ground below the hill in shock. “Are those blue, purple, and green legendary equipment?!”
“What’s going on? Someone got equipment drops but isn’t picking them up? That generous?”
A trace of excitement surfaced on Qian Chonglang’s face. “Holy shit, idiot, what are you spacing out for? Hurry and follow me down to pick up the equipment!”
With that said, Qian Chonglang was about to use a tumbling skill to leap down when a hand stopped him.
“Don’t act rashly. Didn’t you see the 172 players 51.2 meters away from that equipment aren’t picking it up either?”
51.2 meters away, 172 players not picking up green equipment?
“Where? Where?” Qian Chonglang was a bit skeptical.
Although he knew Dharma Demon’s vision, hearing, and mental calculation abilities were all extremely abnormal, he didn’t believe there were players who didn’t like equipment and would leave legendary gear on the ground.
Shaking his head, Qian Chonglang used a Sharp Eyes skill on himself, doubling his vision, and looked in the direction Dharma Demon pointed.
“Holy crap, there really are people. What’s the meaning of this? Are they all idiots? There’s equipment but they’re not taking it?”
Dharma Demon shook his head and glanced towards the other side of the dense forest. “Perhaps… they don’t dare to pick it up.”
