Reincarnated as a Therapist (In a world without Therapist)

Chapter 6: Chapter 2 (Part 2)

Ryuji ran down the hallway as fast as his little legs could carry him, "Allishtar!" A voice yelled from down the hall. He knew the voice well. It was the voice of his overly tedious butler, he had discovered Ryuji ran off from his lessons…again. "Get back here this instant!" His butler yelled. But Ryuji didn't listen. He had it all figured out. The next skytram would be leaving in thirty minutes. If he could get out of the estate and to a mount then maybe…

Ryuji's thoughts were interrupted by the steady and swift beat of feet against the ground. He turned to see his butler running at full force towards him. He ran with such speed that a gust of wind threw the rug around and knocked paintings off the wall. "AAAAAAA!!" Ryuji yelled in horror. In a moment of desperation, Ryuji flung his hand backwards. His eyes glowed purple and a magic circle appeared around his hand. A bolt of energy shot from his hand towards his butler. Ryuji didn't mean to do so, but it didn't matter, his butler adeptly and quickly dodged the bolt with a swift sidestep. His butler's eyes glowed a light green color and he disappeared from Ryuji's vision. A moment later Ryuji was being thrust into the air, held by his pants in front of his butler. Ryuji sighed, he had been caught.

"Stupid wind magic," Ryuji grumbled angrily.

"Where are you going…" His butler said out of breath, "Master Allishtar?" It was the name he had been given by his parents at birth, he didn't like it. By some shift of fate (probably by Eichi) they kept his middle name as Ryuji, which he was thankful for, but everyone still referred to him as Allishtar, almost everyone.

"I was…" Ryuji said, looking around the room, "Practicing…"

"Practicing?" His butler questioned, "What on Illverstand could you be practicing right now?"

"..." Ryuji's mind was blank, "escaping?" Why did he tell the truth!

His butler looked at him in disbelief. The old elven male was dumbfounded. Ryuji could only tell he was angry because of the slight twitch in his eye and the way his white mustache moved up and down from the amount of air leaving his nostrils. His butler pulled a white stone out of his pocket.

"No please Reginald…" Ryuji said, looking at the stone. There was no way out now. Reginald dropped it on the ground and smashed it under foot. As it was crushed, a large, white, magic circle appeared on the ground around the two of them. They were encompassed in white for a moment then a second later it receded. The two were in a completely different location from before. They now stood in the most dreaded room in the house; the classroom. It was a large mostly empty hall with a few desks for himself and his siblings. The large hall was mostly made of a special type of white wood but also had magical elements to the room as well. The large windows that went from floor to ceiling were enchanted so that the light coming from the windows would cascade upwards and project themselves towards the far end of the room where a very large and very old tree was growing in its own grove. The light seems to fall onto it like a waterfall creating a rather breathtaking scene. It was the one thing that Ryuji liked about the room. His instructor, Elandra, was a younger elf woman. She stared at the tree in a stupor but jumped with a start as Reginald and Ryuji appeared within the room.

"Elandra this is no time for dozing off!" Reginald said sternly. Elandra looked embarrassed and tired. Ryuji could see the effects his words had on her. He could see the weight it added to her shoulders.

"Of course…sorry father," Elandra said.

Reginald looked at her disapprovingly, "Allishtar is back for his lesson. Do well to see that he actually attends," he said.

"I was just waiting for him so we could begin," she said with a smile, "will you be sitting in today?" She had a smile on her face but Ryuji could see the conflict in her eyes. She wanted him to stay, she really did, but another part of her wanted him to just…leave her alone it seemed.

"I have other matters to take care of…" Reginald said dismissively, "carry on with your lesson." He looked to Ryuji, "as for you…"

"I know. Pay attention. Take notes. Listen. All that," Ryuji said, acting pompous. He had no reason other than that he wanted to see how Reginald would react. The man intrigued him.

Reginald nodded his head towards Elandra and then left the room. Elandra sighed in despair and relief at the same time. She grabbed a box of items and walked over to put it on Ryuji's desk. Ryuji smiled, whether or not Elandra knew it…she would be his first client. She was a beautiful young woman. Anyone would be put to shame by her looks. She had long and luscious white hair, her skin was nearly blemish less, She was incredibly kind and gracious, everything about her was beautiful, at least from everyone else's perspective. To Ryuji she probably looked meek, tired, worn down. He could tell her appearance was a facade, her grace an act. If Ryuji could use one word to describe her…it would be angry.

As she placed the box on the desk Ryuji decided it was time to make his first move. "Thank you Elandra," he said.

"You are welcome, Ryuji," She said. She was the only one who called him by his true name.

"It's ok, you know," he said softly.

Elandra looked puzzled, "what do you mean?"

"It's ok to be angry at him," Ryuji said, "your anger is valid and a good emotion to feel."
