Chapter 14: Chapter 14 {Crown Prince Zuberi
The servants trembled with fear, their eyes downcast as they nodded in unison.
"Y-yes, Your Highness," one of them stammered.
"We were supposed to keep an eye on Prince Amun, but he slipped away during the evening stroll. We searched the entire estate, but he was nowhere to be found."
The man's piercing blue eyes narrowed, his expression icy cold. He was Crown Prince Zuberi, and his son's disappearance was unacceptable. He turned to one of the servants, his voice low and menacing.
"Find him. Now. I want my son back, and I want him back alive."
Crown Prince Zuberi's eyes seemed to bore into the servant's soul, and the servant nodded frantically, backing away slowly.
"Y-yes, Your Highness. I'll find him, I swear it."
The Crown Prince's gaze lingered on the servant, his expression unyielding.
"You'd better. If anything happens to my son, you'll be the one who suffers the consequences."
Amun's eyes gazed up at Aika, who was smiling at him with a gentle warmth that made his heart feel full. He couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness, thinking about his own mother, Aiden, who was cold and cruel to him. He had never known a mother's love, only her anger and disdain.
As he walked to the bathroom, Amun couldn't help but compare Aika to his own mother. Aika was kind, gentle, and loving, while Aiden was cold, cruel, and manipulative. He felt a deep-seated wish that Aika was his real mother, that she could be the one to care for him and love him unconditionally.
Amun's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his own voice, whispering a quiet wish to himself.
"I wish I had a mother like her..." He looked up, hoping that no one had heard him, but Aika's smile seemed to suggest that she knew exactly what he was thinking.
Amun returned back to Royal Luna Skyline Estate which is one of thousands mansions his father owns. When Butler Reed saw the little prince the guards and everyone shouted his name.
"Little Prince Amun! Oh my gosh you are safe!"
Amun's face fell as he was swarmed by the guards and servants, their loud voices and overbearing concern suffocating him. He longed for the peace and quiet he had found with Aika, and felt a pang of sadness at being back in this cold and impersonal world.
Butler Reed rushed forward, his face etched with relief, and scooped Amun into a tight hug.
"Thank the heavens you're safe, young master! We were worried sick about you!"
Amun's eyes widened in discomfort as he was squeezed tightly, and he struggled to free himself from the butler's grasp. He didn't like being touched or fussed over, and the sudden attention was overwhelming.
Just then, a cold, commanding voice rang out from the doorway.
"Amun, come here."
Amun's heart sank as he recognized his father's voice. He knew he was in trouble, and that his adventure with Aika was about to be discovered.
"Father I…" Amun became quiet.
"Do you know how dangerous it is out there!?" A beautiful woman with golden blonde hair and hazel eyes asked her son she tried to act all gentle and caring but Amun was no fool he could see through that.
"Aiden you shut up explain yourself."
Amun's eyes dropped, and he remained silent, his gaze fixed on the floor. He knew that his mother, Aiden, was just pretending to be concerned for his well-being, and that her true intentions were far from genuine.
Crown Prince Zuberi's voice was low and menacing, and Aiden's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure.
"Of course, my love," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness.
"I was just worried about our son's safety."
But Amun knew that his mother's words were empty, and that she was only trying to curry favor with his father. He felt a surge of resentment towards her, and his silence was his way of rebelling against her insincerity.
Crown Prince Zuberi's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing as he turned to Amun.
"Explain yourself, Amun. What were you doing out there, and who was with you?"
"None of your business I am tired I will go to bed," Amun said his voice was cold just like his father. Aiden tried to hug him but after feeling the other woman Aika hug he doesn't want this woman hug ever again.
Amun's eyes flashed with a hint of disdain as Aiden tried to hug him, and he pushed her away, his voice cold and detached.
"Don't touch me." He turned and walked away, leaving Aiden's outstretched arms empty and her face pale with anger.
Aiden's eyes narrowed, her face twisted in a mixture of anger and hurt, but she quickly composed herself, turning to Crown Prince Zuberi with a sugary smile.
"I'll let him rest, my love. He's just tired and overwhelmed."
But Amun didn't hear her, he was already walking away, his heart still heavy with the memory of Aika's warm hug and the feeling of being truly cared for. He felt a pang of sadness as he realized that he would never experience that kind of love and acceptance from his own mother.
As he disappeared into the darkness of his room, Aiden's smile faltered, and she turned to Crown Prince Zuberi with a calculating gaze.
"We need to talk about Amun's behavior, my love. He's becoming more and more withdrawn, and I fear it's not healthy for him."
Crown Prince Zuberi's eyes narrowed, his expression unreadable, but Amun knew that he was in for a world of trouble. He closed his eyes, his heart heavy with the knowledge that he would never be able to escape the cold, loveless world of the Royal Luna Skyline Estate.
"You get out of the estate," Crown Prince Zuberi snapped coldly he didn't care for Aiden at all if she wasn't Amun mother he wouldn't want to be engaged to her.
Aiden's face paled, her eyes flashing with anger and hurt, but she quickly composed herself, her voice dripping with sweetness.
"Of course, my love. I'll leave you to your... thoughts." She curtsied and turned to leave, her eyes fixed on Amun's door, a calculating glint in her gaze.
As Aiden left the room, Crown Prince Zuberi's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to bore into the space where Amun had disappeared. He was a man who didn't tolerate disobedience or disrespect, and Amun's behavior had just earned him a place at the top of his father's list of concerns.
The silence in the room was oppressive, heavy with unspoken words and unresolved tensions. Crown Prince Zuberi's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in a mixture of anger and frustration.
Suddenly, he turned and strode out of the room, his long strides eating up the distance as he made his way to his private study. He had a feeling that Amun's behavior was just the tip of the iceberg, and he was determined to get to the bottom of it.
As he entered his study, he slammed the door shut behind him, the sound echoing through the empty halls like a warning. He was a man on a mission, and nothing was going to stand in his way.
