Chapter 16: Chapter 16 {Fake Smile?}
Crown Prince Zuberi's eyes snapped with interest, his expression intense.
"Dr. Queens? The legendary mage neurosurgeon? I've heard of her, of course. She's said to be able to perform miracles with her skills. If she's truly in our galaxy, I want to know where she is and what she's doing here."
He leaned forward, his voice taking on a tone of urgency.
"Find out everything you can about Dr. Queens, Lord Ravenswood. I want to know her location, her intentions, and what kind of research she's conducting. This could be a game-changer for our galaxy, and I won't let it slip through our fingers."
"Sir we have everything she has researched on and she is the only hope to saving your great great grandfather, and also with your poison ice and fire, plus your grandmother illness she is the only one who have offered much money but she has always refused us we don't know what brought her back," Reed said.
Crown Prince Zuberi's expression turned grave, his eyes clouding over with concern.
"My great great grandfather's condition is still deteriorating, and my grandmother's illness is still a mystery. If Dr. Queens is the only one who can help them, then we need to do everything in our power to bring her on board."
He paused, his voice taking on a tone of determination.
"I want to know what's changed. What brought her back to our galaxy after all this time? And what's driving her to refuse our offers despite the wealth and resources we've offered her?"
He leaned forward, his eyes burning with intensity.
"Find out what she wants, Lord Ravenswood. Whatever it is, I'll make sure she gets it. I'll do whatever it takes to save my family."
Aika's eyes narrowed, her jaw clenched in determination. She would face her adaptive parents and the people who wronged her, but she wouldn't back down. She would show them the woman she had become, the woman she was meant to be. And maybe, just maybe, she would find some answers about her past and her birth parents.
Aika's thoughts turned to her birth mother, the woman whose face was etched in her memory. She wondered what had happened to her, why she had given Aika up, and if she was still alive. The questions swirled in her mind, but Aika pushed them aside. She had a party to attend, and she wouldn't let her adaptive parents or anyone else bring her down.
Aika's eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief as she thought about the engagement party. She would go, and she would make sure to make an impression. She would show them all that she was no longer the timid, weak girl they had once known. She was a strong, beautiful woman, and she would not be ignored.
She stood up, a determined look on her face, and began to get ready for the party. She would wear her best dress, her most elegant shoes, and her most radiant smile. She would show them all that Aika, the girl they had once wronged, was now a force to be reckoned with.
Aika's eyes sparkled as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. The dark navy dress hugged her curves perfectly, and the intricate design she had created herself made her feel like a million bucks. She had designed it to make a statement, to show the world that she was a talented and capable woman.
She took a deep breath, feeling a sense of confidence and determination wash over her. She was ready to face her adaptive parents, and the people who had wronged her, with her head held high. She was ready to show them that she was no longer the weak and timid girl they had once known.
The triplets, who had been watching her get ready, looked up at her with wide eyes.
"Mama, you look so beautiful!" they chorused. Aika smiled, feeling a surge of love and pride for her children. She knew that she was doing this for them, to show them that their mother was strong and capable.
Aika smiled and hugged her triplets tightly.
"Thank you, my little ones," she said. "Mama has to go to this party, but I'll be back soon, and we'll have a special evening together, just the four of us."
She kissed each of them on the forehead, and then turned to leave. As she walked out the door, she felt a sense of nervous energy building up inside her. She was about to face the people who had wronged her, and she wasn't sure what to expect.
But as she walked to the party, she felt a sense of determination growing inside her. She was no longer the weak and timid girl she used to be. She was a strong and capable woman, and she was ready to face whatever lay ahead.
As she arrived at the party, Aika took a deep breath and stepped inside. The room was filled with people, all of whom seemed to be staring at her. She scanned the room, looking for familiar faces, and her eyes landed on her adaptive parents, who were standing across the room.
Aika's heart skipped a beat as she saw them, but she didn't let her emotions get the better of her. Instead, she stood up straight, smiled brightly, and began to make her way through the crowd, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
Aika was cold indifferent and emotionless her eyes found where she was sitting as she walked straight toward her seat a guy looked at her.
"Ah miss don't seat there the ugly fake Miss Aika seats there such a beautiful woman like you… I wish I could seat next to you," the guy said everyone chimed in insulting Aika not knowing that was her in front of them. She wore a light blue veil. She just stood there as they insulted her she was cold and indifferent.
Aika's expression didn't change, her eyes gleaming with a hint of amusement behind the veil. She raised an eyebrow, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she spoke.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize this seat was reserved for the 'ugly fake Miss Aika'. How... thoughtful of you all to warn me."
"Yeah she is a useless talentless person, even Prince Ryker would never take her back," one woman said.
"Yeah she is useless and weak."
"Yeah she is a useless talentless person, even Prince Ryker would never take her back," one woman said.
"Yeah she is useless and weak."
Aika's gaze swept the room, her eyes lingering on the woman who had spoken. Her voice was still calm, but a hint of ice crept into her tone.
"I see. And which one of you is the expert on Prince Ryker's preferences? I'm sure he's just dying to know that you're speaking on his behalf." She paused, her eyes glinting with amusement.
"And as for being useless and weak... I think I'll let my accomplishments speak for themselves. After all, I'm the one standing here, while you're just... sitting there, talking about me."
Aika's gaze swept the room, her eyes meeting the gaze of the woman who had spoken, and for a moment, they locked gazes, the air thick with tension. The woman's face turned red with anger, but Aika just smiled, a cold, calculating smile.
Just then, a voice boomed from the front of the room.
"Ah, Aika, welcome. I see you've arrived." It was Aika's adaptive father, his voice dripping with condescension. Aika's eyes flicked to him, her expression unreadable.
She began to walk towards him, her movements fluid and confident, the veil floating behind her like a cloud. The room fell silent, all eyes on her as she approached her adaptive father.
Aika's eyes met his, and for a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable. Then, Aika's adaptive father spoke, his voice dripping with malice.
"Aika, I see you're still as... interesting as ever. I trust you're not planning on causing any trouble tonight?"
The room fell silent, all eyes on Aika as she revealed her stunning face. Her adaptive father's eyes narrowed, while the woman who had insulted her earlier looked like she had been punched in the gut. Aika's fake smile never wavered, but her eyes sparkled with amusement as she surveyed the room.
