Chapter 5: HIS DOOM
** Episode 5 **
And then, the door suddenly creaked open.
Two officers entered and roughly pulled him out of the cell. He attempted to say anything, his heart beating rapidly but they silenced him, covering his mouth and they drag him away, a dark past, where not a single soul was seem.
Maybe this is it. Min-Jun thought. His heart pounding against the wall of his chest. It's happening, he's dying for a crime he no nothing about, he's dying due to his ignorant. Finally meeting his doom.
"Change into this," one of the officers whispered urgently, tossing him a set of clothes.
Min-Jun complied quickly even thou he was kinda surprised and not sure why. He kept glancing at the two serious faced officers as he changed right at their watch and then, they led him out through a back exit. A car was waiting outside, definitely for him and he was asked to climbed in alone. The vehicle speed off to an unknown destination immediately.
Despite his nerves, a small voice inside him whispered that this isn't the end, that he was safe. He tried to catch a glimpse of the driver face through the front view mirror but a black cap protruding his face was making it impossible.
Soon, the car stopped at the company, A large angry crowd had gathered outside, protesting. Among them were both fans and anti-fans of the deceased Park A-yeong and anti-fans and fans which eventually turned an anti-fan of Kim Min-Jun.
"Get out," the anonymous driver ordered in his unfamiliar voice, tossing him a cap. Min-Jun obeyed and stepped out, slipping into the company unnoticed.
As he entered, his fellow surprised members rushed to him, enveloping him in hugs, except for Si Woon, who stood frozen in shock, obviously not excited to see him. The last thing he'd expected to see till the end of the day was Kim Min-Jun and here he's.
"How have you been? Did they treat you roughly? Are you okay?" Duri bombarded him with questions as he disengaged from his embrace.
"I'm fine. Where's Manager Ma?" Min-Jun asked, urgency in his voice. He believed if he must get out that way, it must be Manager Ma or the Director workings.
"He's with Director Chow right now. I heard tomorrow is the final judgment day at court. How did you get out?" Duri replied.
Min-Jun wasn't in any mood to give answers to Duri's or anyone questions. He needed to see manager Ma urgently. He took a few steps but halted when Si Woon's voice cut through the air.
"Why did you murdered her, Kim Min-Jun?" Si Woon's accusation hung heavily in the room, and the other members froze, their eyes fixed on Si Woon who looked all serious.
"Is that for me?" Min-Jun asked turning back to si Woon, not quite sure what he meant.
"Yes!" Si Woon yelled moving closer to him. His expression could tell he's damn serious. "Why did you kill her, why?" He yelled, didn't stop at that, he went on, "Was it because you found out she was seeing another man behind your back, or because she ended things with you?" Si Woon's toon dripped with anger.
Min-Jun looked around at the others, scanning for support but it seem like none believe he's innocent either. This time, their gazes was on him impatiently waiting for him to speak up, like they needed to know why he chose to kill her.
Min-Jun suddenly felt betrayed and disappointed. It suddenly seems like they've long for the moment.
"Wait, don't tell me you all believe I actually killed A-yeong?"
Silence enveloped the room as they keep a straight stares at him. Their faces speaking the obvious.
"What! You're supposed to be my supporting shoulders during this critical moment. How could you believe such false accusations without even hearing my side?"
"Min-Jun, there are solid evidence that leaves us no choice but to believe the truth. the surveillance system shows you in disguise entering her hotel room that evening and rushing out minutes later. Your fingerprints were found on the knife that was found on her lifeless body and the doctor confirmed she was murdered__"
"Still, I'm innocent!" he shouted, cutting off the obvious unnecessary explanation.
"Admit it already, Kim Min-Jun!" Si Woon yelled back. "At least it's just the four of us in this room. Tell us why you did it. How many times did you stab her? Three, four, five? Or did you beat her up before stabbing her?"
"Stop it, Si Woon!" Duri interjected, trying to defuse the situation that's obviously turning a wrong form.
"Don't tell me to stop! I won't!" Si Woon shot back, turning his attention back to Min-Jun giving that menacing looks, "Why did you murder her? Why did you do that to her, you murderer!!"
Fury surged through Min-Jun, and he charged at Si Woon, landing a hard punch on his face. Grabbing him by the collar, he pulled him closer, his eyes blazing with anger. The other members rushed forward to separate them, but Si Woon held his ground.
"Go on, hit me! Do to me what you did to her! Show us how you did it, right here, right now!" Si Woon taunted, a scornful laugh escaping his bleeding lips.
"Min-Jun, Director Chow wants to see you in his office now," Secretary Young-Ran voice interrupted from behind, breaking the tension in the room.
Min-Jun released Si Woon, breathing heavily, his heart racing. He shot a glare at Si Woon, who still wore a smug expression, and turned to leave and he felt the eyes of his fellow members boring into his back as he walked away.
"Why did you go that far?" Duri asked Si Woon, his voice fill with concern as soon as Min-Jun left the room.
"I did what needed to be done. Someone has to confront that murderer with the truth," Si Woon replied defiantly, wiping his bleeding lips with the back of his palm while returning to the couch.
Just then, Ha-Ri rushed in, looking disheveled and with tear-streaked cheeks. Her eyes were filled with worries and fear.
Ha-Ri and Min-Jun had been friends since childhood; she was the only family he had left after losing his parents in a tragic car accident years ago and then losing his grandma the every day he got accepted into Nova X. Grandma who eventually rise him.
"Where is he? I heard he's out," Ha-Ri asked, tension radiating from her.
Duri opened his mouth to respond, but Si Woon abruptly grabbed Ha-Ri's hand and pulled her away from the others.
