A Crazy Love Proposal

Chapter 25: Chapter 19 Mouth Harder Than Life

Yun Yuwan couldn't help but laugh, "Really?"

"Really, when your brother was in school and injured his leg, his forehead was covered in cold sweat, yet he insisted it didn't hurt, with no change in his expression at all," Zhu Qing'an recited like precious memories, "On his way to a college reunion, he got into a car accident, and his ribs were nearly punctured into his heart. He couldn't even get up but still claimed he was fine, then suddenly, blood sprayed out as he spoke, stubborn to the bone."

Listening, Yun Yuwan felt a pang of distress, and she also thought her brother's stubbornness was truly formidable.

So after she returned, the reason her brother had never openly admitted his affection for her was because of his stubbornness and thin skin.

No wonder he didn't refuse her but also didn't take the initiative to get close to her; when she hugged her brother, he must have been secretly delighted.

It seemed she should be more proactive in the future, to make her brother happier.

Her brother had even specially flown to Belgium to spend Christmas with her.

Zhu Qing'an teased, "Wen Yangzhi has always been a domineering CEO, with a mouth harder than life itself—it's not a joke. If he says he doesn't like you or feel anything, he's probably over the moon on the inside."

Yun Yuwan felt a secret thrill.

Meanwhile, Jiang Jianqing, who had overheard their conversation, was momentarily stunned.

Zhu Qing'an could tell at a glance that he was also kept in the dark.

Yun Yuwan, scared that Wen Yangzhi would get angry, said, "I'm going to find my brother."

Zhu Qing'an and Lin Chu waved goodbye.

As soon as she left, Zhu Qing'an pulled Jiang Jianqing over and whispered,

"You know about Wen Yangzhi's trip to Belgium last year, right? He went to see Yun Yuwan, but since Yun Yuwan wasn't in Belgium, he returned to the country the next day."

Because of Yun Yuwan? Not the steel company? Jiang Jianqing was still somewhat confused, "So?"

Zhu Qing'an continued, "And those comics in Wen Yangzhi's study? He didn't buy them for himself; they were for Yun Yuwan because she studies drawing. There's no way Wen Yangzhi would be interested in comics himself."

"Are you saying that Wen Yangzhi likes Yun Yuwan?" Jiang Jianqing finally pieced it together.

Zhu Qing'an sighed at his slowness, "Yes, how have you not noticed?"

That was absurd.

Jiang Jianqing was about to argue when suddenly, he understood the meaning behind "My brother likes me a lot."

He thought it was a sibling affection, not realizing it was a lover's.

Pure, gentle, and a perfect match in social status.

Suddenly, it was as if he had an epiphany.

She hadn't lied, nor had Wen Yangzhi.

No wonder Wen Yangzhi didn't change her surname and could casually gift her a necklace.

No wonder she could hug Yangzhi without any restraint, and Yangzhi wasn't angry—it was as if it was a common occurrence.

Who else could be a more suitable match for him than his own sister?

Jiang Jianqing turned to look at the retreating figure of Yun Yuwan.

She indeed... fit perfectly into the type that Yangzhi said he liked.

He had thought she was talking nonsense, yet the brother truly liked her a lot.

If she dared to say it, she must be almost completely confident; otherwise, how could she risk offending Wen Yangzhi, just out of self-confidence?

That was Wen Yangzhi—someone no one could afford to offend.

Only Yangzhi had stated his liking for her.

All of his doubts were resolved in his mind as if a blade had sliced through them.

The guy whose stubbornness trumped his own life could reveal his type, which was almost the same as openly declaring it—it was his lack of understanding.

As Yun Yuwan went out,

Wen Yangzhi was smoking outside, on the spacious balcony, standing by the European railing, tall and elegant, one hand carelessly tucked into his trouser pocket, the other hand with its slender, well-defined fingers holding a cigarette, remaining aloof amidst the noisy crowd.

She jogged to his side and deliberately put on a pitiful appearance, looking at him, "Brother, I haven't been going around telling people about the necklace you gave me."

He pressed his cigarette into the ashtray held by a waiter, "No need to explain."

Wen Yangzhi had no patience to listen to such confused matters.

And Yun Yuwan, who intended to continue, stopped and shyly lowered her head.

So he wasn't angry with her over these trivial matters.

Indeed, one tends to be much more tolerant towards someone they like—how could he be angry over that?

How had she not thought of it.

Yun Yuwan turned to find a topic to discuss with him:

"The uncle who just spoke up for me, is he the chairman of the annuity insurance company that issues perpetual bonds?"

Hearing her spit out a term, Wen Yangzhi finally looked at her, a freshly lit cigarette between his long fingers:

"Interested in perpetual bonds?"

She smiled, revealing a row of pearly teeth, "I'm not interested; I just heard people discussing it. I actually don't know what it means."

Wen Yangzhi flicked the ash from his cigarette and looked away.

His face devoid of any smile.

He should have expected it.

He said expressionlessly, "It's fine, go play."

But then Yun Yuwan threw out a line, "I don't have any money to go out and play."

Wen Yangzhi: "?"

He looked at Yun Yuwan.

And Yun Yuwan, who has the highest-level unlimited black card from Wen Bank, blinked her large eyes.

Wen Yangzhi didn't probe too deeply or seem to care; he asked indifferently, "How much do you want?"

"Ten million."

His tone was casual, "I'll have my secretary transfer it to you."

But she pushed her luck further, "I want it now."

Large transfers require high-volume payment systems for processing, and ordinary customers can transfer in real-time on working days.

But now it was the weekend, and eleven o'clock on a weekend evening at that. Wen Yangzhi could summon someone to work and transfer the money right away, even having Wen Bank overseas do a cross-border transfer to her—it was just a word away, but he didn't want to indulge her.

To take as one pleases.

To give her anything she asks for

For Yun Yuwan, that isn't possible.

This was Wen Yangzhi's boundary.

Because she always asked for too much, without setting boundaries, she would expect him to give her everything.

To indulge her was a hard rule he set not long after getting to know Yun Yuwan.

Seeing he didn't reply, she observed his expressions and put on a pitiful front, "Brother, can't you transfer it?"

Her long hair was whipped by the wind, swirling just like the down of a Bai Xian, "But it's fine if you can't transfer it. I have a way to get it in a second."

He watched her, curious as to what she was up to.

She tugged at his sleeve, looking up at him with a pair of moist, sparkling eyes that rippled with clarity. Her thick eyelashes curled seductively, as if she deeply admired the man she was looking up at, her eyes brimming with emotion:

"Brother, your girl wants your card."

Jiang Jianqing, who had just been brainwashed by Zhu Qing'an, came out to join the spectators.

So Zhu Qing'an and Jiang Jianqing both heard the phrase "your girl wants your card."

The two exchanged glances, both seeing the shock in each other's eyes.

So, Wen Yangzhi really does fancy his own sister.

The gazes of both pairs were like injections shooting over.

Wen Yangzhi took out his wallet from the inner pocket of his suit and casually handed her a card, murmuring two words that marked the end of his patience, an official decree to her: "Go home."

His original intention was for her to go home on her own.

She thought it meant to go home together, grasping the card with stars in her eyes, she gently seized Wen Yangzhi's arm and shook it, "Okay."

It looked like she was being coquettish, and Wen Yangzhi, who was always so orderly, didn't shake her off.

Zhu Qing'an and Jiang Jianqing were both stunned.

Yun Yuwan followed him all the way, and Wen Yangzhi got into his own car without telling her to join him, but she scurried to open the door on the other side and sat next to him.

Wen Yangzhi: "..."

But he said nothing.

Before the driver could even start the car, she began to act playfully.

"Brother, how many kilograms do you have to bench press to achieve this chest muscle definition?" She reached out, pressing his chest, "Is it at least 60kg?"
