that it barely seemed like he was there, and she marveled at how easy it had been to adjust to having him in her home. She still thought him to be painfully quiet at times, but he was slowly opening up more as time passed. The meeting with Augusta Longbottom had gone well, and young Harry would start meeting with her three times a week for lessons on wizarding customs and history. And both Harry and Neville had seemed to get along reasonably well although it was hard to tell with the quiet and shy nature of the two. Septima hoped that the two would help draw each other out of their shell a bit more.

As she thought of potential friends for Harry, she could not help but think of Luna. She had not heard from Xenophilius or Minerva yet about whether or not Luna would be starting Hogwarts early. She sincerely hoped that was the case as she understood the importance of friends to children, and both Harry and Luna appeared to need friends. Xenophilius had remarked that Luna used to play with the youngest Weasley girl, but that the two had drifted apart, and he had worried that Luna had withdrawn into herself too much after her mother's passing. The two were good for each other.

Satisfied with the downstairs, Septima headed upstairs to check on Harry before retiring to her room for the night. She noticed that his light was on before she knocked on the door and called his name.

"Come in," Harry called immediately. Septima opened the door to find him sitting at his desk, quill in hand.

"Are you almost ready for bed?" Septima asked stepping into the room and noticing he was at least in his pajamas.

"Yes, I even brushed my teeth. I just wanted to practice writing some more," he informed her as he carefully set down his quill and turned in her direction.
