Chapter 13: A Dangerous Indulgence

Chapter 13: A Dangerous Indulgence

As soon as Alexander left for his family reunion, Lila's phone buzzed with a text message from Ethan.

"He's gone," the message read. "Come over."

Lila's heart pounded with anticipation. She quickly showered, slipping into a seductive black dress that accentuated her curves. She applied a touch of lipstick, her reflection in the mirror a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

The drive to Ethan's apartment felt like an eternity. As she pulled up to the curb, her heart was racing. She took a deep breath, her nerves a jumble.

Ethan opened the door, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You look… incredible," he breathed, his gaze sweeping over her.

Lila stepped inside, her senses reeling from the sight of him. He was dressed casually, but his eyes held a smoldering intensity that sent shivers down her spine.

"You look good too," she murmured, her voice husky.

He pulled her close, his arms encircling her waist. "I've been waiting for this," he whispered, his breath hot against her ear.

Lila leaned into him, her body trembling with anticipation. "Me too," she breathed, her voice barely audible.

Their lips met, a hungry, passionate kiss that ignited a fire within her. They moved to the sofa, their bodies entwined, their hands exploring every inch of each other.

"I can't believe I almost let Alexander come between us," Ethan murmured against her skin, his voice husky with desire. "You're the only one for me, Lila."

Lila felt a surge of euphoria. "I know," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I know."

Their passion intensified, their bodies moving in a rhythmic dance. Lila lost herself in the moment, the fear and guilt momentarily forgotten. In Ethan's arms, she felt alive, desired, loved.

"Why did you make it so hard before?" Ethan asked, his voice a low growl. "Why did you act so… distant?"

Lila smiled, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "I had to play the part," she whispered. "I had to make sure Alexander didn't suspect anything."

"But why?" Ethan asked, his brow furrowed. "Why risk everything?"

Lila looked into his eyes, her gaze intense. "Because," she whispered, "with you, I feel truly alive."

Ethan's eyes widened. "Lila…"

Their conversation was cut short by the insistent ringing of the doorbell. Lila froze, her heart pounding in her chest.
