Chapter 1: return....
Chapter 1: The Long Awaited Return
The war had been raging for what felt like an eternity. For five long years, the world had been torn apart by conflict and bloodshed. But finally, after years of fighting, the war had come to an end.
For Captain Ishan , the news of the war's end was a welcome relief. He had been fighting on the front lines for what felt like forever, and the thought of returning home to his loved ones was all that had kept him going.
As Ishan stepped off the bus and onto the familiar streets of his hometown, he felt a sense of nostalgia wash over him. Everything looked smaller than he remembered, but the smell of the freshly cut grass and the sound of children's laughter brought back a flood of memories.
Ishan's heart swelled with excitement as he made his way to his family's old Victorian home. He had dreamed of this moment for years, and he couldn't wait to see his loved ones again.
As he approached the house, he noticed that something seemed off. The curtains were open, and he could see people moving around inside. Ishan's heart skipped a beat as he quickened his pace.
He burst through the front door, his eyes scanning the room for familiar faces. His mother and father were sitting on the couch, beaming with pride as they saw their son walk through the door.
But Ishan's gaze was drawn to the figure standing by the window. It was Raha, his girlfriend of three years. She was smiling and laughing with someone, but it wasn't Ishan.
Ishan's heart felt like it had been punched. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Raha was standing with her arms around another man, a man Ishan had never seen before.
For a moment, Ishan just stood there, frozen in shock. He couldn't process what he was seeing. He had given up so much for this war, and he had thought that Raha would be waiting for him, faithful and true.
But now, it seemed like everything he had fought for was a lie.
Ishan's eyes locked onto Raha's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Ishan could see the guilt written all over her face, but he couldn't bring himself to speak.
He just turned and walked away, leaving behind the only life he had ever known.
