Have a good day :)

...

Having said that, and with enormous curiosity, I left the forest and headed straight for the beach.

Along the way, people started looking at me and whispering again. Seriously, I know perfectly well that for them I am a person who they never seen because the day has restarted, but... Is this going to be like this forever? The answer is simple: Yes.

The only good thing about the curious glances that would happen every time I come to visit the village of Cairnholm in 1940 is that no one seems to want to do anything, so as long as i don't enter the "hotel" where I am staying in the future, nothing will happen.

But let's leave this issue aside because now it is not important and let's focus on what is important, going to the beach. As always, the day was perfect, the sun was shining in all its splendor and it was warm enough to swim on the beach, but as usual, the people of Cairnholm were going about their daily chores ignoring the fact that tomorrow they would be restarted and would live the same day again and again, however, and now that I wonder. When the day restarts... Time goes on; If that's true, then, what is the original timeline? Honestly, it is a most curious paradox because I do not remember that when they mentioned to me about the peculiar ones in the present, they mentioned a boy with strange clothes who was with them, Is it possible that no one simply remembered me or that the timeline where we live simply does not include me? It's a curious thing to think about: Don't you think so?

"In any case, I am not in the mood to think about temporal paradoxes, for now, I'll focus on what I'm experiencing right now" – I sighed.

Thinking about it was a complete waste of time (I couldn't have said it better myself) because my knowledge about time travel and its paradoxes is very scarce, in fact, humans in general do not have much knowledge about it. Is it possible that there is a civilization much more advanced than ours that perfectly understands the concept of time and its paradoxes?

As I pondered that, I arrived at the beach and It was just as I remembered it, boulders that barely let you walk, but crystal clear water and devoid of any kind of pollution, in fact, if there is one good thing about the Cairnholm of the present, it that there's only a few pollution, in fact, if it weren't for generators, the Cairnholm of today would be one of the few places on Earth without pollution, that's one of the few good things about it, while the Cairnholm of the past seems to be stuck in the last century and I could barely see this year's existing technology. Seriously, technology may not have been as advanced in 1940 as it was in 2016, but strolling through the streets of Cairnholm gave you the impression of walking through the Middle Ages.

"Ok, I'm already on the beach... And now what?" – I said to myself confused.

There was nothing visible and the beach had nothing, no clue... wait a minute.

"I think I see someone" – I said.

I don't know how I didn't realize it before, but it's probably because I was deep in thought, but on the shore of the beach, there were three people that I would recognize even if I were blind, they were Claire and the twins.

"Brother!" - Claire shouted raising her hand.

The twins did the same, wanting to get my attention.

Claire sometimes calls me Jacob and sometimes brother, as she feels like and since I don't mind what she calls me... Let her do what she wants.

"Claire, girls!" – I said approaching them quickly.

Claire was barefoot, her little feets being wet by the cold, crystal clear sea water, while the twins didn't have their shoes on either, however, they were not completely barefoot, they had socks on that covered their small feets, although if you looked closely, you could see that they had several pairs of socks and not just one: Is it possible that their whole body is as horrible as their faces or that they are simply ashamed to show their body? Now that I remember it well, on the first day at the beach, the twins did not take off their clothes, they were the only ones who did not stay in their underwear, but wore a kind of bathing suit that hid their bodies perfectly, but I didn't notice because I was talking with the system.

If that were true and their bodies were as horrible as their faces, I felt even more sorry for them, but that didn't discourage me, on the contrary, it only reinforced my desire to help them, now I felt much more motivated than before (something I thought impossible), however, I will act as if it were nothing strange, after all, I don't want them to think I don't like them or anything like that.

"Brother, you're finally here!" – Claire said giving me a hug.

I quickly reciprocated him and then also hugged the twins who seemed somewhat envious of that embrace.

"Did you like the game we have prepared; have you had a good time?" – Claire asked curiously.

"Yes, it was an amazing game and a lot of fun, I congratulate the three of you for such a wonderful job" – I nodded.

The truth is that it was a very original and quite fun game and they also took advantage of the environment and its lack of resources, in fact, if the clues or riddles had been more difficult, this game would have been popular even in the present.

"Thank you! Although we also received a little help from the rest... Although practically everything was thought of by the three of us" – said Claire.

Growing the flowers, the tree, and moving the rock had all been the work of Fiona and Bronwyn, I think it's quite logical.

"Even so, it has been incredible. I'd even like to play it from time to time, we could increase the difficulty and make everyone try" – I nodded.

It's a very fun and entertaining game and If we were to make the clues even more complex and hide the papers better, it could result in a game that takes hours to complete.

"Yes! Let's play this game again in the future; together!" – Claire nodded.

The twins also nodded and seemed quite excited as I could see that their bodies trembled slightly.

"By the way, Where is the treasure? I'm curious to know what it is" – I said.

The truth is that until now I had forgotten about the treasure, but now that I've remembered it, I'm curious to know what it's all about.

"True, the treasure!" – Claire said.

Then, she looked at the twins and nodded.

"Actually... the three of us have heard about the relationship you have with Sister Bronwyn and Sister Fiona..." – Claire said.

The twins nodded.

"Oh. I see, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, we didn't plan to hide it, it's just we were just looking for the moment to say ii to all of you" – I said.

"Don't get us wrong, it doesn't bother us at all that you're dating now... we only feel... jealousy" – Claire said.

Her face was a little red.

"Jealousy? Don't worry, I won't leave you aside just because I have two girlfriends, we will continue to play together" – I smiled.

"We already know. But... the reason for this game, the why we have done this today and why you have only played it alone... There's a reason for all of it" - Claire said.

"What's reason?" – I asked.

The three of them looked quite restless. Wait... Don't tell me that...?

"Here! This is a gift from the three of us!" – Claire said.

Then, from her pocket, she took out a beautiful pendant, it had a chain made of what appeared to be steel and the rest was made of wood. It was a medallion.

"This is..." – I said surprised as I took the medallion from Claire's hands.

"We have done it by ourselves, the chain was given to us by Miss Peregrine, according to her, it is made of a metal that never rusts, while the wood is made from a tree called Ebony, Miss Peregrine helped us choose it, She said that even if you take it out of the loop and the three days go by... It won't rot and you can always carry it with you and the rest, the inscriptions you see... it's all done by the three of us" – Claire said.

I looked at the medallion carefully and began to admire all its details (which were not exactly few).

The medallion was a modest but meaningful work of art. Its oval shape and the soft feel of polished wood gave it a natural and warm air, while the stainless steel chain, shiny and smooth, provided a modern contrast that made it stand out. On the delicately carved front was a perfectly symmetrical heart, surrounded by fine lines that looked like vines. These lines not only decorated the outline of the heart, but also gave the sensation that it was expanding, as if it represented the connection between those who shared that bond.

On the back, an inscription carefully engraved in cursive letters gave the medallion an even more intimate touch. The words "My peculiar family" seemed to dance in the light, their fine strokes standing out against the matte background of the wood. It was a simple, yet powerful message that spoke of togetherness, love, and loyalty.

When the medallion was opened, the interior revealed a small portrait. The image showed Claire and the twins, smiling and full of life (The twins had their masks on, but you could perfectly notice their happiness). It was just perfect.

"This is... perfect" – I said surprised.
