Chapter 140: Entering Mission Worlds Continuously
When Josuke Higashikata returned home, he stopped by to take a look at Angelo Rock, located not far from his house.
Two years ago, Anjuro Katagiri was caught attacking his house by Josuke and Jotaro Kujo. Josuke delivered judgment on the spot.
As a result, the large rock fused with Anjuro became "Angelo Rock," a strange landmark near his home.
Morioh, with all its peculiarities, seemed to affect the taste of its residents. Many people even began treating the bizarrely shaped Angelo Rock as a sightseeing spot.
Over time, Josuke, the creator of this landmark, grew accustomed to greeting Angelo Rock every day as he passed by.
Although he didn't know if Anjuro, trapped inside the rock, still had any consciousness, it brought him a small sense of comfort.
But today was different. When Josuke passed by the location of Angelo Rock, he was shocked to find it had vanished!
Or rather, it hadn't disappeared entirely. Fragments of the rock were scattered on the ground, suggesting it had been violently smashed and much of it removed.
"Who did this? Such a terrible act, destroying public property!"
Though Josuke had created Angelo Rock, it was originally just a large boulder sitting by the roadside in Morioh.
Calling it public property wasn't entirely wrong.
Despite his delinquent appearance, Josuke was a genuinely good person and was deeply displeased by such behavior.
The destruction of Angelo Rock was, of course, Zuke's doing. Feeding Blackbird pieces of rock reminded him of those AI-generated videos of "The Rock eating rocks."
After consuming Angelo Rock's fragments, Zuke noticed that Blackbird had gained the Stand ability of Anjuro Katagiri: Aqua Necklace.
This Stand allows its user to transform into water, merge into any liquid, and mimic shapes in liquid form. It gave Zuke's Blackbird a new stealth capability.
After obtaining Anjuro's Stand ability, Zuke felt he'd achieved enough for the day. He decided to leave the JoJo world early and join Koichi Hirose in Italy the next day.
Although his session hadn't reached the 8-hour playtime limit, Zuke felt staying longer in Morioh was pointless.
However, upon exiting the mission world, he checked his world synchronization status and discovered a slight increase in synchronization rate.
Current World: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Main Quest: Defeat Diavolo
Player Strength Synchronization: 1%
Please advance the main quest to unlock more synchronization.
"This increased my synchronization? All I did today was collect Stand abilities in Morioh. What does that have to do with Diavolo?"
Zuke was puzzled. His actions had no direct connection to the main quest. He had simply been collecting Stand powers from Part 4 for fun.
Could it be that the system considered the collection of Stand abilities as an enhancement of his power, thus raising his synchronization?
Thinking back to how leveling up in the Dragon Ball world also increased synchronization, Zuke guessed the system used a similar logic here.
However, because his power already far surpassed Diavolo's, collecting these abilities only added 1% synchronization.
The system seemed to be saying, "Your efforts to gain power are marginally useful for the main quest, so here's a token increase."
Although the system had no consciousness, Zuke felt this interpretation was accurate.
This 1% synchronization didn't excite Zuke much. While the Stand abilities were practical, 1% synchronization didn't offer significant benefits.
But then, the system issued another notification that pleasantly surprised him.
Achievement Unlocked: "A Step Further"
Achieve synchronization a second time in the same mission world. This achievement can be repeated.
Daily Playtime +1 Hour
"So that's it! After clearing a mission world, any subsequent synchronization in the same world increases daily playtime."
Zuke's eyes lit up. He had been wondering how to enter multiple mission worlds in one day. Today's discovery solved the mystery by chance.
This 1% synchronization from the JoJo world proved unexpectedly valuable.
Even better, he had only spent three hours in the JoJo world. This meant he still had nearly five hours of playtime left for the day.
With these remaining hours, he could explore another mission world.
Excited by the prospect, Zuke opened the system's world selection menu.
As expected, a new message appeared below the original list.
Available Mission Worlds:
Dragon Ball (Time not adjusted)JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Time not adjusted)Fate/Zero (Time not adjusted)
Player's remaining playtime for today: 1 session.
"Perfect. Now I can enter another world today."
Satisfied, Zuke nodded and began considering whether to choose Dragon Ball or Fate/Zero.
Re-entering the JoJo world was unnecessary, so he weighed the pros and cons of the other two worlds.
Returning to Dragon Ball meant training with King Kai. A professional mentor could help him improve his strength further, especially with techniques like the Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb.
However, entering the Fate/Zero world presented uncertainties. Had Saber arrived in Fuyuki City yet? Had Caster been summoned?
After some thought, Zuke decided to check out the Fate/Zero world first.
Training in the Dragon Ball world could wait. The Fate/Zero world, however, was something he wanted to complete as soon as possible.
Knowing that a second synchronization in a single mission world unlocked additional playtime motivated him to clear the main quests faster.
The Fourth Holy Grail War posed no real challenge for him, and he was confident in clearing it easily.
With this plan in mind, Zuke quickly made his choice.
"Enter the Fate/Zero world."
He hoped the Servants wouldn't disappoint him. Ideally, they'd all gather in Fuyuki City, waiting for him to resolve everything.
