Yes..... I have written extra to compensate for this. (2.6k).

Also we've had 100+ readers in one day! That is fucking crazy!

(P.S. I noticed that I write certain phrases a lot. Like eyes widening, looking into eyes and such. That is bad writing. No. Its shit. This comment is made in hindsight. So I apologize for the next 10 chapters in advance. I'll introduce new phrases and vocabulary into my writing from now.)

KNOCK

KNOCK

KNOCK

Gregori woke up groggily and swung his legs out from the blankets. His eyes shot to the door and then to the window.

The sun was just coming up.

The letter!

But it was supposed to be slid through the gap..... Gregori stood up and made his way to the door. He stood silently in front of the door, trying to make out who was on the other side. He placed an ear on the door to check if he could hear something being spoke.

"Gregori. Open the door. Some of the things I have cannot be written down. I also have a proposition to discuss with you."

Talon was at the door and he wanted to discuss a proposition.

Interesting.

But he still needed to confirm if it was really him that was there. There was the chance that somebody was impersonating him.

They had the conversation in the open after all. And the Black Rose were anything if not ever present. He couldn't afford to take the risk. Letting them in meant that the wards wouldn't hold them back.

He could fight them off but then it would result in him being wanted across the capital.

That could be an issue.

Taking a step back, he asked, "Give me proof that it is you that I am talking to.... Answer this question." Gregori looked at the door with an impassive expression, "Why do you owe me the favor that you are currently repaying?"

There was no reply.

"The way you have phrased this question.... it makes it seem like I have quite a few favors owed to you... But I distinctly remember owing you only one where you and your companion saved my life. Your specific words were, "That way." As you hid me." Came the reply.

Gregori reached for the door and opened it.

Talon was stood in front with a thick binder.

"That is a lot of information." Gregori said, as he moved to let Talon in.

Talon walked in and laid the binder on the bed. "I would place it on the table but it seems to be a bit preoccupied there."

Gregori snorted as he moved to clear the table of his belongings. Everything was moved to the bed for the binder to be moved onto the table.

"Now.... I have brought you every single place that has the possibility of housing a young child. But I have reduced to overall total to these five. I've brought everything just so you can check them for yourself." Talon said as he separated the five sheets from the rest. "These five." He pointed to them. "Three of them are inside Noxus Prime. These two." He pointed to two he moved further away. "These two are outside and a little far off to our position. One is in Basilich helping with developing fighters for the pits and the other is past Delverhold, inside the Freljord."

Gregori instantly moved the three away.

"She is inside the Bastion. So rule them out." He said after he did so.

Talon raised an eye at him. "Are you sure?" He asked.

Gregori turned to face the man, both his hands on the table, "Do not ask me how.... but I am sure that she in within the walls of the Bastion."

Talon shrugged, "If you are sure....."

"But I don't know her exact position where." Gregori said. "Just her general location."

"Some form of magic I suppose." Talon muttered as he moved the three sets of sheets in front of them. "The first and second are schools." He said. "That is their cover. One directly owned by the flower group and one in partnership with. An allied group." He moved the final set of papers in front. "This one. He spoke as he tapped it. "This is the one in Metol. Created to house creatures that have tried to assassinate Swain. The reason I point to this, is because it holds a child. The child was placed there last year. No other information is available."

Gregori eyed the sheet so hard, he could have a burnt a hole through it.

"Tonight you will have an opportunity to break into it."

His eyes shot toward Talon in shock. "What?"

"My father is planning an attack on Swain tonight. My sister will be there. It will be a small attack but I plan on changing that part, by causing as much of a ruckus as possible. The guards stationed at Metol are part of Swain's faction. They will move to support him as soon as word of the battle spreads."

"And I move in at the opportunity...." Gregori spoke, nodding slowly. He bit the inside of his mouth in thought, "But why? You were just supposed to give me information.... Why go this far?"

Talon turned to face the window, "Your words. You told me to trust my sister and follow my dream.... a dream I had forgotten after doing everything I could for my family." A smile came up on his face, "I was planning to do this anyway but I decided to inform you of this chance....."

He turned to face him once more, his hand moving to his cloak. "This....." He pulled out a folded sheet of paper. "This is the blue print of the fortress. Burn it after you are done preparing."

"Thank you."

"If your daughter is not among the captives," He pointed to the other two sets, "She should be in these. I have attached all the necessary information of the two schools to them as well."

Talon turned around and made his way to the door. As he reached for the handle, he stopped, "Use your chance well Gregori..... Keep your family safe." After those words, he left.

Gregori stared at the door for a while, thanking Soraka for the luck. Inwardly he promised to use the chance the best he could.

He would get his daughter home.

Pushing all the other sheets to one side, he opened up the schematic and formulated a plan. One that would get him in and out.

His previous plan completely out of the window, Gregori looked for the chinks in this base's armor. As he examined this schematic, he grew more and more impressed at Talon's work. But one detail alone left him floored.

The security runic scheme....

There was a full outline of the entire runic scheme on the schematic and all the positions where they were hidden.

The plan formed near instantly, but he needed something. A certain something that would make this as easy as pie.

He needed a blood infused runic knife.

Luckily for him, he knew just where to get it. For free. Or the price of one favor but it was basically free. The woman owed him multiple favors.

She would also hold information from the members of the legion.

It was time to visit the blood mage.

He stalled for a while, sitting back down on the bed and fell into thought. A sense of exhilaration passed through him.

He was almost there. Hopefully, by night he would have his daughter. And then he could get back to Rakelstake with her in tow.

From then on they could start a new chapter in their lives. A better one. They had lost enough. No child deserved to lose a mother.... Annie had lost two and knowing her, she probably blamed herself for it subconsciously.

The next few hours were spent looking through the schematics and the information for the fortress in Metol.

It was, in essence, a prison. One owned by Swain and his allies.

That information threw him off because this wasn't part of the operations of the Black Rose. Swain had made his hatred of that group quite clear when he had handed over his own parents to Darkwill.

The chances of his daughter being there were quite small. Since she wasn't under Swain's search. If it was owned by the Mallat... then Gregori would have made the decision without a second thought.

That particular family had provoked his ire.

His plans for that family was quite simple..... Walk in. Kill them all. Walk out. Simple.

He glanced at the other sets of papers. If Annie was not in the fortress.... then she would be in these two places.

Schools.

Such simple places.

Not one person would wonder why there was a child in a school.

Genius really.

Wearing presentable clothes Gregori, walked down to the inn's bar. Sliding himself onto the seat he ordered whatever was special.

"Is there something to be celebrated?' Harris asked.

Gregori shook his head. "No..... Just an indulgence.... Has been a long time after all."

Harris looked at him contemplatively, "Are you closer to completing your mission?"

He looked at the owner of the tavern and gave him a soft smile and remained silent.

After eating a healthy amount of roast chicken, Gregori walked out with a spring in his step. He made his way to the blood mage's home.

Climbing large stairs past a few homes, Gregori arrived at the large door. Raising his hand up, he made four heavy knocks. After which he stood back, leaning against the railings on the back, overlooking the bustling streets.

A minute later, the door opened.

Facing him in surprise was a young woman. Dressed in a long dress that hung close to her body. Going over every single contour of her body, leaving pretty much nothing to the imagination. Over her torso, she worse a coat with an open end at the front, letting plenty of cleavage show.

"Gregori!" She said in surprise. "I wasn't expecting you this soon!"

"Drann." He spoke. "I apologize for dropping in suddenly."

"Oh its fine Gregori...." She waved him off. "What services of mine do you require?"

"Is it possible for us to discuss this in the confines of your home? I find Noxus to be quite intrusive to one's personal space. I apologize in advance." Gregori answered quite eloquently.

Drann stepped to the side invitingly, "You are welcome into my abode any time Gregori..... and I do mean any time." She posed rather seductively at those words.

"Thank you Drann but I regretfully decline." Gregori declined as he stepped in.

Drann moved behind him and closed the door shut. "I have to apologize as well..."

At the words Gregori's eyes widened. He had walked into a trap! He cursed himself immediately for being so naive. A rookie mistake. He clenched his fists ready to fight.

"....I am already entertaining someone. So, you will have to make do with another person being in the room with us..." She finished.

Gregori took a breath, relaxing immediately. "That... is fine. Lead the way my lady." He turned and gave way for her with a bow.

"Oh drop it Gregori, you and I both know you are not one to act all noble." She spoke with a shake of her head. "You are farthest from nobility." She said as she moved forward.

An offhanded insult.

Gregori chuckled as he followed her. Little did she know.

Drann led him into the main hall of the house, she spoke gesturing to the mystery person in the house, "Gregori I would like for you to meet-"

Gregori cut in, "Lady Katarina. It is nice to meet you again."

Surprisingly, the other person in the house was Katarina Du Coteau.

"You look.... rather worse for wear..." He spoke looking at her state.

Katarina wasn't in the most healthy state. Her bandaged side had healed up completely, he guessed that particular change was due to knowing a blood mage. Drann probably healed her up or rather sped up her healing. But she had knew injuries. Her elbow was swollen and red. And she looked drained. Tired.

She also in a state of undress. Missing her jacket and her sleeves. Only a leather armored bra strap and her normal pants with all the weapons hanging on it.

"I've been worse Gregori." She looked at him puzzled, "Can I call you that?"

"Of course." He answered.

"Ah-hem?" Came Drann's voice. They turned to face her. "You two know each other?" She asked with her hands on her hips.

"We traveled to the capital together." Katarina answered.

Gregori just nodded. "I apologize for intruding on your personal time."

Katarina's eyes widened, "No. NO! We are not together. Close friends is all that we are." She said quickly.

"Just gave me up that quickly Kat?" Drann spoke in a sad voice.

Katarina was left speechless, "Uh.... Huh..."

Drann let out a soft laugh and addressed Gregori, "You haven't intruded anything. I am providing her with both a new set of weapons while also helping her heal her injuries."

"I apologize for the insinuation then."

"Bah... Nothing lost." Drann waved his apology off. "Well then.... I suppose you want all the information the lads sent on the Mallat family?" Drann asked.

Gregori nodded once again.

She then sauntered around to the other end of the room and reached down into one of the drawers. Deliberately making her actions seductive, she pulled out a stack of papers and placed it in his hands.

"Anything else...?" She asked as she placed a finger on his chest.

Gregori stared her in the eyes and spoke immediately, "As a matter of fact.... yes. I call upon one of the favors you owe to me."

She tilted her head in surprise and took a step back. Folding her hands, she asked while pouting, "I offer you anything and you call on a favor?"

"I don't want to owe anyone anything Drann."

"You leave me very disappointed but tell me Gregori, what do you want of me?" Drann asked, her expression hardening.

"I need a blood infused runic knife." He stated.

Drann walked around the sofa Katarina was seated on and sat on it. She folded her legs and placed an arm around Katarina. "Will it be used in harming the Mallat?" She asked.

Gregori shook his head. "They will be harmed but not with anything you provide me. I have a different use for the knife."

With an impressed look on her face, Drann waved her hand.

SHAKK

A large cupboard opened up with the wave. A runic knife flew out of it. A very simple looking one. A blade with the runes carved in, fueled in blood making it take on a red color instead of the standard green or blue. Its handle was just tightly wrapped cloth.

"Very basic...." Gregori slowly spoke.

Drann cut in, "But very effective. I cannot give you anything of greater value unless you force me with other favors but I would rather you not. These kind of knives can be tracked to me easily and that particular one offers me the greatest protection. I am mostly left alone to my devices but if the Crimson Circle wish to..... I will be... removed."

"No Drann. That is all. As of this moment all your favors owed to me are complete. The same is for all members of the legion. This is the last you will ever hear from me." Gregori turned around to leave. "Take care of yourself Drann."

Drann looked shell-shocked at that revelation.

As he reached the end of the room, he turned once more, "And Katarina.... your brother is quite reliable. I suggest you stop underestimating him."

"He won't like having me near him..... not after I took him eye out yesterday." She shot back.

Gregori just chuckled as he opened the door to the outside. "What all a man does for his family....."

Without looking back, Gregori exited the house and shut the door behind him.
