A Witch's Legacy

"It's not my fault you're always getting yourself into trouble," Damien said simply. Seraiya stretched out her fingers on her left hand before slowly forming them into a fist. The world around them had become seemingly silent. Suddenly the ground beneath them began to shake.

"You can't stop me, Damien," she told him. "I don't want to stop you" he suddenly threw his hand up towards her a large rock was suddenly thrown at her but blew up into tiny little pieces before reaching her. "I want to save you," he said to her.

Seraiya stood there for a moment the wind blowing her hair ever so slightly. She only stared at Damien. "This ends here Damien," she told him. Her eyes gave off a slight golden glow and Damien's eyes gave off a slight red glow.

This was the challenge. Tribrid v.s Tribrid. Suddenly Zack appeared behind Seraiya and held his extended claws to her throat. "What are you doing Zack?" Seraiya asked calmly. "Do it Damien" Zack said looking at Damien and ignoring Seraiya.

"You can't!" Amani said running to them along with Piper and Daemon. "It's still untested, You'll kill her!" Amani told them.

Suddenly seraiya elbowed Zack in the gut and grabbed his arm before flipping him over her shoulder. He landed on the ground hard. The air was knocked out of his lungs.

Suddenly Piper charged at Seraiya. "Repe…" Piper went to say but was interrupted by Seraiya. "duratus" she said freezing Piper where she ran.

Trees suddenly came down on top of Seraiya. "No!" Amani yelled. "Is that really all you got Damien?" She asked suddenly appearing behind them.

"You still haven't finished them off yet?" Alvera questioned as she suddenly appeared behind Seraiya. Seraiya quickly turned to Alvera. "I'm sorry" was all Seraiya could tell her. Alvera grabbed seraiyas shoulders and turned her to face Damien and Amani. "Then kill them once and for all" Alvera whispered in her ear.

Seraiyas eyes flashed pink for a moment Damien looked at Amani before looking back at Seraiya. Suddenly he threw his hands up in seraiyas direction and a red wave of magic went towards her.

Seraiya threw up her hands in defense. Golden magic leaking from her hands. She was sucking up his power.

As Seraiya went to attack Damien. Lightning began to flash in the sky. Everything became slow to Amani as she looked up to the sky. Suddenly Sasha's words echoed in Amani's head. "The future is one never set in stone," Sasha's voice continued to echo.

"Take his wolf from him" Amani heard Alvera whisper to Seraiya with her enhanced hearing. Amani turned to Damien and ran towards him as the lightning continued to flash in the sky. "I see your wolf being taken from you" Sasha echoed in Amani's mind "I see you in the arms of your mate, lifeless" she heard Sasha's voice.

Sasha said the future was not set in stone yet it seems this was. Amani knew what she had to do. And she would do it for Seraiya. Suddenly as lightning came from the sky Amani jumped toward Damien, pushing him out of the way as the lightning struck her.

"Ahhhhh" Amani screamed out in pain as the lighting trailed through her body. As Amani fell to the ground seraiyas eyes went wide. "Noooooooo" she screamed as she fell to her knees the black dust that once took over her body suddenly dispersed out of her. "I'll kill you!" Seraiya yelled turning to Alvera and punching her square in the face. Before she could do anymore Alvera turned to dust disappearing before her very eyes.

"Zora please tell me your there" Amani whispered hoping her wolf would hear her. But deep down she already knew. Her wolf was gone zapped into oblivion in the blink of an eye. And a werewolf without its wolf well… they can't live without their inner wolf. It was a piece of not only their heart but their soul as well.

Seraiya ran to Amani and picked her up holding Amani in her arms "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" Seraiya cried.

Amani gently put her and on seraiyas cheek just barely wiping away her tears. "It's ok," she told her with a smile. Damien and Zack watched at a distance along with the ever quiet daemon.

"Your dying because of me" Seraiya cried. "It's ok," Amani said again. "I knew this would happen," Amani told her. "None of this is your fault," Amani told her as she put her hand down. "There's still time, Damien give me a healing spell something strong enough to fix her" Seraiya said attempting to turn to him but Amani stopped her.

"It's too late," Amani told her "My wolf is gone," Amani said simply. "A werewolf vessel can't survive without their wolf you know that," Amani told her. "Then I'll give you mine I don't need mine" Seraiya cried.

Amani shook her head. "The goddess gave you and your wolf life for a reason," Amani said. "You need your wolf for whatever comes next you and I both know that," she said. Weakly. "But I need you more," Seraiya told her. Amani shook her head. "I love you, Rai," Amani said as tears came to her own eyes. "I love you more than anything in this world" she continued.

"And I hope that one day you find a mate you love just as much or more than I love you," she said with a smile. "I love you, Amani," Seraiya said as more tears came from her eyes. Amani brushed Seraiyas hair out of her and tucked it behind her ear. "I… know…." Amani said with a weak smile as her hand fell to her side and the light in her eyes faded.

"No," Seraiya said as tears streamed down her face. "NOOOOOOO" Seraiya screamed letting out a large burst of energy that pushed everyone away from her and Amani's lifeless body.

Thunder suddenly echoed through the sky as lightning struck a near by tree and rain began to fall Zack shifted into his wolf form and let out a howl. From a distance one after another wolf followed and began to howl with him.

Amani was dead. And this was how the wolves found out.
