A Witch's Legacy

Alvera laughed for a moment "You are right" Alvera told her. "I am no true god" she added. "Just as you are no true devil," Alvera told her. "What the hell does that even mean?" Seraiya asked confused. "Didn't you hear me?" Alvera asked with a chuckle.

"You are no devil!" Alvera yelled as she stood in front of Seraiya "Just as I am no god!" she practically cried. "Well your certainly right about that" Seraiya replied. "You're nothing but a parasite that leeches on to those with power in order to stay alive," Seraiya told her almost disgusted by this side of Alvera she had never seen. 

"You know nothing," Alvera said "I GAVE MY LIFE FOR NOT ONLY MY PEOPLE BUT MY GODS, THOSE WHO I WORSHIPPED AND YET THEY FORSAKED ME IN THE END!" Alvera yelled. "But unfortunately for my people as well as the gods I didn't die like they all had wished," Alvera said. "ESPECIALLY THAT BITCH SELENE!" she suddenly yelled again.

"Instead Unbeknownst to all of them I was able to gain power as well as a new identity," Alvera told her. "Of course, it did take some… sacrifice" she admitted. "You gained power by sacrificing your people," Seraiya said disgustedly. "You are much smarter than you look," Alvera told her.

Suddenly alveras eyes gave off a red glow. "How unfortunate," said Alvera. "I did want to keep you alive for now but that just won't do" she added. "I'll just have to take your power before your soul leaves your body when I kill you," Alvera said ever so simply.

Alvera had lost her mind. That was if she ever had one, to begin with. Now this simple meeting turned into Alvera declaring she would kill Seraiya and even Seraiya knew she wouldn't be able to just run away. She had to fight. She had to kill Alvera.

Suddenly Seraiya threw up her hand. Lighting came down from the sky striking Alvera. "Is that all you got?" Alvera asked with a laugh. "You are truly a weak child if you believe you can defeat me as you are," she told Seraiya.

Suddenly a large spike impaled Seraiya in the shoulder. "Ahh" Seraiya yelled "Repelle," Seraiya said forcing Alvera to go flying back. "Uh," Seraiya said as she pulled the spike out of her shoulder. Blood now pouring out of her. Suddenly Alvera appeared in front of Seraiya and began beating her, so fast and so hard that Seraiya had no time to react. 

The only magic Alvera used was to speed up her attack. One punch after another punch. Even Seraiya's wolf healing had no time to heal her. Seraiya took her chance and reached out for Alvera's throat grabbing it and shifting her hands into claws, stabbing Alvera in the neck, forcing a scream out of Alvera.

Alvera suddenly grabbed and threw Seraiya. Her back hit a tree before she hit the ground.

Seraiya groaned as she rolled over attempting to get up. Alvera felt the blood pouring out of her neck and walked to Seraiya before kicking her. When Seraiya stopped moving was when she finally stopped.

Alvera smiled then turned to walk away. Suddenly Alvera was forced to her knees. She turned her head to see a bloody seraiya standing there holding her stomach and with a tight fist out towards Alvera.

"Ah" Before Seraiya could utter a word another spike stabbed into her this time from her lower back and coming out of her lower right abdomen. 

Alvera stood up turning to Seraiya and walking to her. "You think you're so smart?" Alvera asked. "Now you really will die," she told her.

As the spike disappeared Alvera grabbed Seraiya by the neck, picked her up, and walked her to the edge of the cliff. Holding her just off the edge of it. "You should feel honored girl," said Alvera. "I've never had to deal with anyone so hands-on before," she told her. "I'm sure the other gods will reward me as well when they hear of your death" she added. 

"And don't worry when you land you won't die right away," Alvera told her. "You will be in only pain until I take your power from you" Alvera was kind enough to say.

"Oh, and Seraiya… you may only see me as a parasite," she said. "But I assure you… I am so much worse" she added before finally dropping Seraiya off the cliff. 

As Seraiya fell it was almost as if it was in slow motion. Even she knew there was no way she would survive this fall. Unless…. "Ianuae" Seraiya barely managed to speak. As Seraiya closed her eyes.

She didn't know where she would end up. She didn't even care. As long as she could keep her power away from Alvera. As long as she was far away from Alvera. Suddenly seraiya landed in water. 

The spell had worked! Instead of landing on the hard ground she landed in water. But where was she? She thought as her body began to sink into the water and her eyes opened. She wanted to swim but her body wouldn't move.

It hurt too much and it felt like the water only continued to weigh her down. She couldn't help but notice as the once blueish-clear water began to turn red from her blood. For a moment she wondered.

Would she die from drowning or from loss of blood? She had been bleeding longer than she was in the water, but she also couldn't hold her breath much longer. Soon her body would force her to breathe, allowing water into her lungs.

As Seraiya closed her eyes once again for a second she could have sworn she'd seen a figure. But None of it mattered it was probably just her own mind beginning to lose itself from lack of oxygen. There was no way anyone would find her and she didn't have the power to swim. She couldn't even feel her own body anymore.

Perhaps she would still die after all.
