Chapter 3: Chapter 3

He was looking at me like I am someone very special.

"Why are you looking at me like this?" I asked him.

His mischievous smile didn't fade, "O my friend, we had met by the palm of destiny. It looks like even the divine powers want us to meet"

"I don't believe in those so-called 'divine powers' you speak of like nothing" I told him.

It is true that I am non-believer. It simply means that I am an atheist.

"O my dear friend, it looks like you forgot to introduce your name to this person who is in front of you," he said with a smile.

"My name is Grey as I already told"

"I was not talking about that name. I am talking about your real name because I do not think that your parents will be happy to name a child Grey unless they are from the trendy generation" he laughed as he spoke about old times' weird naming sense.

"I prefer not to say that name which was given to me by my parents because it is not something I believe in," I told him in a cold tone.

"Is it God's name?" he smirks as he guesses it.

He is really a pain in the ass.

"None of your business. Also, you are taking too much of my information. Why don't you tell me about yourself?"

He smiled. This smile is a very special one. Different forms of smile. It was not a mocking one but a loved one.

"The name of mine that is given to me by my parents is Kalki. I was born in the village of Shambala. A small Buddhist village" he smiled as he gave me all the information.

"Woah," I speak in sarcasm, "This is great information. So, you are Buddhist?"

He shook his head. "I am not from that religion. I am more into yogic ones. Buddha is a good dude to worship but I prefer more of a different deity" he smiled. "Let me give you tour to this place"

I follow him.

The place is very vast here. In my opinion, there are about 203 rooms. Each one may be worth about 20 million dollars. This much facilities that the government had given to the people who were suffering from the radiation and had made shelter for them from the nuclear break down aftermath. I am sure many people would be alive who had lost their lives and loved ones in this war.

"Government sure had given ton of dollars to build this research lab"

"Yeah. Total amount this lab worth would be around actually something like $50 million"

So, it is beyond my expectations. I chuckle.

"Does this point tickle your inside?"

"It really does. The fact is that this much amount would be good for people who are outside dying. It will cost $1 million for sure"

I laugh.

"Out of the way. Do you know the history of this costly build up shelter?"

I shook my head. I mean you care about something that you didn't make up.

"This shelter was built by Man. The man's name is Adam. He is dead now. He created this lab when world war 3 was started. He thought that he should spend his luxury bulk wealth over the protection for the future. I think he wants to invest in something good for the future. At least, his decision had created a brand new beginning for the world"

"I am sure to get into this shelter lab. One should be very smart and had pass a test"

The test was very hard. It was a measurement for me. A score I achieved to get here. To get here one needs knowledge in the fields of quantum mechanics, astronomy, cosmology and nuclear engineering.

"Well, I was born lucky. My family was in a good relationship with Adam. So, we get here as fast as nuclear break out war happened"

Lucky. Some people really got luck from their family.

I look down at my hands. My palms are covered in gloves.

"You are looking at your gloves so much. Do the wounds from the past open up in your heart after hearing my words?" He asked me a question whose answer I don't even know.

"Well—"

Before I was even able to speak. Lights went out. A flash appeared before me. My body became warm. Roar of the flash shook up. Flames dance and the flesh starts to burn. I couldn't open my eyes. I don't able to see Kalki. Only fire and my eyes closed.
