Chapter 4
Chapter 4: The Heroine Makes Her Debut! The Heroine’s Face Gets Slapped!:
“F**k you, who is your sister?” Qin Yuan snarled, kicking Su Qing hard.
This guy just couldn’t get it.
Even after everything was made clear, Su Qing kept bringing up nonsense that deserved a beating.
Su Qing now had a few more lumps on his head and bruises on his body. The crowd watched, some cringing.
“This is brutal.” Someone murmured.
“Brutal? He deserves every bit of it!” Another retorted.
Qin Yuan turned his gaze to the law enforcement elder, who stood frozen in place. “What are you waiting for? Take him away,” he ordered.
“Oh, yes, Holy Son.” The elder stammered, snapping out of his daze.
He hadn’t expected Qin Yuan to really punish Su Qing.
After all, Qin Yuan used to be a pathetic bootlicker, especially toward the Su family.
In front of Su Qing, Qin Yuan was more like a servant than a master.
The elder had doubted whether Qin Yuan was serious, but now it was clear—Qin Yuan had truly changed.
His tone left no room for doubt.
The disciples of the Holy Land looked on with excitement, savoring the justice unfolding before their eyes.
“This is incredible!” One whispered.
“Su Qing’s finished.” Another chimed in.
“If he goes to a place like that, there’s no way he’ll survive.”
“I guess he’ll have to wait until the next life.”
As the law enforcement elder moved to drag Su Qing away, Su Qing panicked and struggled desperately.
His eyes were wide with fear, but before he could shout out something vicious, Qin Yuan slapped him again.
Smack!
Su Qing was stunned into silence, his thoughts scrambled by the blow.
The elders in the Law Enforcement Hall watched in shock as Qin Yuan turned to them with senior’s authority. “This guy just needs a good beating to behave.” He said.
“Yes, Holy Son.” They stammered, nodding in agreement.
The law enforcement elder felt a chill run down his spine. This was the first time he truly understood the Holy Son.
Just as everyone was absorbed in the spectacle, a pleasant female voice interrupted.
“What’s going on here?”
A tall, pure-looking woman with a hint of charm in her expression approached, followed by a group of Holy Land disciples and a man dressed in black. She frowned in displeasure at the scene before her.
The crowd was taken aback—this was none other than Su Mengyao, the first heroine of the novel, and the woman the original Qin Yuan had foolishly adored.
The man in black by her side was Lin Yun, the so-called protagonist Qin Yuan had mentioned earlier, who pretended to champion the weak while secretly exploiting them.
The disciples behind her were from her family, the Su family.
“Qin Yuan, what are you doing? Where’s my brother?” Su Mengyao demanded, her tone cold as she scanned the scene.
She barely recognized Su Qing, his face swollen beyond recognition.
“Sister, it’s me, Qing’er.” Su Qing whimpered, his voice filled with pain.
“You… you’re Qing’er?!” Su Mengyao gasped, her pupils contracting in shock. Though Su Qing’s voice was muffled, she recognized it as her brother’s. Her initial surprise turned into a mix of distress and anger.
“Qin Yuan, why is my brother like this? Who did this to him?” she demanded, glaring at Qin Yuan with a haughty expression.
The crowd began to murmur.
“Wow, Su Mengyao really knows how to make an entrance.” One whispered.
“Of course, she does! She’s the most beautiful woman in the Holy Land!”
“Even the Holy Son couldn’t help but fall for her.”
“But isn’t she just a little too high and proud?”
A man dressed in green snorted, his tone dripping with sarcasm despite his words of praise. Others nodded, catching on to the underlying mockery.
“Qin Yuan, are you deaf? Didn’t you hear our Fairy Su speaking to you?” One of the Su family disciples sneered, his tone arrogant and condescending, much like Su Qing’s had been before.
Qin Yuan’s eyes locked onto the disciple like a predator eyeing its prey. “Say that again,” he challenged.
“I… I said…” The disciple hesitated, realizing too late that he had provoked the wrong person. But boosted by the presence of his family, he continued, “I said…”
Smack!
Before the disciple could finish, Qin Yuan grabbed him by the throat and slapped him repeatedly until his face was a bloody mess.
The crowd watched in stunned silence, the disciple’s arrogance shattered in an instant.
“What the…?” One of the Su family members stammered, unable to believe what he was seeing.
Qin Yuan was acting like a madman, attacking anyone who dared to speak out of turn.
“You!” Su Mengyao gasped, completely shocked by Qin Yuan’s behavior.
He had always been so eager to please her, but now he was like a completely different person—cold, distant, and terrifying.
The Su family members shrank back in fear, their earlier bravado evaporating as they saw what had happened to their comrade. They glared at Qin Yuan, their anger barely restrained.
“Good, it’s quiet now,” Qin Yuan remarked, satisfied. “I like polite people. This is how I deal with the impolite.”
With that, he casually sat down in a chair, crossed his legs, and rested his chin on his hand, looking at Su Mengyao as if he were a king addressing a commoner.
“You…!” Su Mengyao sputtered, at a loss for words.
She had never seen Qin Yuan act like this before.
She shouted in frustration, “Qin Yuan, have you lost your mind? Don’t think you can make me submit with these tactics! It’s not going to happen! You can’t give me what I want!”
She assumed that Qin Yuan’s actions were some twisted attempt to win her over, but she couldn’t have been more wrong.
The crowd watching was equally baffled.
Was this really the same Qin Yuan who used to grovel at Su Mengyao’s feet?
But Qin Yuan remained expressionless as he stood up.
This was exactly what he expected from Su Mengyao—a woman who thought she was smarter than everyone else, yet was foolish enough to be sold out and thank the seller.
“Qin Yuan, I’m talking to you! Why aren’t you answering me?” Su Mengyao demanded, her voice quivering with anger.
She was used to Qin Yuan fawning over her, and his silence made her feel vulnerable. Yet, in front of so many people, she couldn’t afford to lose face.
The onlookers exchanged glances, wondering if Qin Yuan would revert to his old ways and start licking Su Mengyao’s boots.
After all, despite his surprising behavior today, they couldn’t be sure he wouldn’t change his mind.
But Qin Yuan had no intention of reverting to his former self.
He looked at Su Mengyao with cold, piercing eyes. “You seem to have forgotten what I said earlier,” he said.
Smack!
A heavy slap landed on Su Mengyao’s delicate face, sending her flying to the side.
She hit the ground, stunned and disoriented, with disbelief written all over her red and swollen face. She clutched her cheek, her pupils trembling with shock.
Qin Yuan… he actually hit me? How could he…?
Su Mengyao’s anger flared as she looked up at Qin Yuan, who stood tall and imposing, his aura cold and menacing.
This wasn’t the Qin Yuan she had known—the Qin Yuan who had always tried to please her.
This was someone entirely different, someone terrifying and powerful, like a dark, mysterious force she couldn’t understand.
