Amon, The lowest tier disciple in the Insanity Sect

Alright, it's time to start my rise to the top. I've been a disciple for a while now, and let's be real, I'm still not great at anything. I can barely remember the basics of my cultivation, and I think I've been holding my sword upside down during sparring. But you know what? Somehow, I'm still making progress.

Today, I overheard some of the higher-ups talking about a "secret mission." Obviously, I have no idea what this mission is, but I figure if I show up and pretend to be useful, maybe I'll get promoted.

So I do what any genius would do: I walk up to the head disciple, who's deep in conversation, and casually ask, "Hey, what's the secret mission?"

He glares at me like I just insulted his mother. "That's none of your business, idiot."

Okay, okay. Fair enough. But then I remember something important: I've heard rumors about a powerful herb that grows in the forest, a herb that's supposed to increase your cultivation by leaps and bounds. Now, I don't know much about herbs, but I've seen some people make potions before, so maybe this is my chance to get in on it.

I casually mention the herb I've heard about to the head disciple. He looks at me suspiciously for a second. "You know about the Moonlight Herb?"

"Of course I do!" I lie through my teeth, trying to sound cool. "I've totally heard of it. I could get it for you, no problem."

The head disciple stares at me for a moment, clearly not sure if I'm joking. Then, to my surprise, he hands me a map. "Fine. Go find it. If you come back alive, maybe you'll actually be useful for once."

"Sure thing!" I grin, pretending like I know what I'm doing.

I immediately head toward the forest, clutching the map like it's a treasure map leading to untold riches. Half an hour later, I'm completely lost. There's no way I can find this herb. But... wait a minute. I see a bunch of weird plants around. One of them has glowing leaves. I don't know what it is, but it looks cool, and I decide that must be the Moonlight Herb.

I grab it, thinking I'm a genius, and return to the sect like I'm holding a rare artifact. The head disciple looks at the plant for a moment, then looks at me like I'm a complete idiot. "This is just some random weed. What the hell are you doing?"

I try to play it off. "Oh, no, no. This is definitely it. It's got the glow and everything!"

He sighs, clearly regretting giving me this mission. But then, to my surprise, he gets this thoughtful look in his eyes. "Wait... this weed... it's actually kind of useful for one of our potions. You may have just accidentally done something useful.You can take part in the sect's missions from now on."

Wait, what?

So... I didn't get the Moonlight Herb, but I still helped out . And I'm now being praised for it? This is how I rise through the ranks?

I think I'm starting to figure this out. All I need to do is act like I have no idea what I'm doing and somehow get by. Maybe I can actually make something of this.
