Chapter 94: chapter 87

AN: another chap!

There are those who aren't happy with how thinga concluded with the couple, but it's not actually over, it's a process. Can't really say much without spoiling. But even after you've read all those chaps, you still won't lie it, but that's life. And this is how I saw and experienced it, so naturally it'll match my conclusion.

Also, there's a lot of stupid chaps after this, but it'll get decent after a while, and AN banters and Full lyrics/song scene will come back, because I've realized that i hate not having it, it feels off. Ugh... Sorry for those who preferred it that way.

Where currently at 119 at patreon and KoFi, after I edit and upload the chapt there later it'll be around 121-122.

Thank your fellow readers who added to the backlog chaps by sending support, prompting me to write more. 😂

Robin's POV

The Family Meeting

The Den. The name itself sounded ominous, as if we were about to hold a council of war or discuss an elaborate heist. In reality, it was just the less-trafficked, cozy room where we gathered when things were too real for the open space. Given the recent events—my adorable proposal, the shocking possibility of a baby, and the collective vampire jaw-drop—we were overdue for a proper sit-down.

Rosalie sat beside me, our hands linked. She looked calm, but the slight squeeze of her fingers told me otherwise. Across the room, Isaac was dramatically fanning himself with an old paperback, muttering something about "air so thick you could slice it with a butter knife."

"Alright," Carlisle began, his tone that of a general about to give orders. "Let's address the elephant in the room."

Isaac gasped, clutching his pearls—or in this case, Emmett's flannel. "How dare you? I knew I should've gone to the gym this week, but there's no need to call me out."

"Isaac." I shot him a look.

"What?" He pouted. "I'm just saying. Rude."

Rosalie sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Can we focus?"

"Yes, focus!" Esme chimed in, her golden eyes practically sparkling. "On the baby!" She clapped her hands together, radiating uncontainable joy. "Oh, Robin, Rosalie, this is wonderful! I've always dreamed of being a grandmother!"

"Mom," I groaned. "Don't get ahead of yourself. It's just a possibility. Possibility!"

"Doesn't matter," Carlisle added, his face alight with the same glee. "We should start preparing."

"Oh, no, no, no," I said, waving my hands. "We're not doing this yet. No nurseries, no knitting tiny booties, none of that."

Alice smirked from her corner. "Good luck stopping Esme. She's already picturing a Pinterest board in her head."

"I don't know what that is," Esme said sweetly, "but if it's for the baby, I'm sure it's wonderful!"

Edward leaned against the wall, arms crossed. "Before everyone loses their minds, let's consider the risks. A child of this nature—"

"This nature?" I interrupted. "Excuse me, my hypothetical child is awesome nature."

"Robin."

"No, no," I said, crossing my arms. "Let me guess, you're about to give one of your gloomy monologues about danger, secrecy, and why we can't have nice things?"

Edward rolled his eyes. "I'm just saying—"

"You're always saying, Edward. Saying, brooding, piano-ing. Give it a rest."

"Robin, let Edward speak," Rosalie said, though her lips twitched with amusement.

"Fine." I leaned back dramatically. "The floor is yours, Mr. Angst."

Edward's eye twitched, but he soldiered on. "If the vampire world discovers this... ability, Robin will become a target. So will the child. We must be careful."

A heavy silence fell over the room, broken only by Emmett whispering to Isaac, "Ten bucks says she makes a joke in three seconds."

"Three? Try one." I smirked. "Careful? Edward, have you met me? I'm the poster child for reckless shenanigans."

Isaac snorted. "Amen. Chaos Gremlin Incorporated, at your service."

Carlisle cleared his throat. "Robin, as much as we appreciate your humor, Edward does have a point. This could bring challenges, and we need to be ready for them."

"Agreed," Tanya said, folding her arms. "But let's not act like it's the apocalypse. We're Denalis. We protect our own."

"Speak for yourself," Kate muttered, earning a glare from Carmen.

"Look," I said, sitting up. "Rosalie and I aren't planning on having a kid anytime soon. We're way too young for that. Well, young-ish."

"Speak for yourself," Isaac said, flipping his imaginary hair. "I'd make an amazing aunt."

"You'd drop the baby the second you saw a cute guy," I shot back.

"Lies!" he gasped. "I'd balance them both."

"Isaac," Emmett chimed in, "you once dropped a pie because you got distracted by a butterfly."

Isaac huffed. "It was a majestic butterfly, okay? And I don't see you winning any Parent of the Year awards, Himbo Supreme."

"I'd be the fun uncle," Emmett said proudly.

"You're the fun uncle because you're banned from babysitting," Rosalie deadpanned.

The room dissolved into laughter, even Edward cracking a smile.

"Alright, enough," I said, wiping a fake tear. "Let's get serious for a sec." I turned to Alice. "Alice, do you see Rosalie and me having a kid someday?"

Alice's expression softened, her voice uncharacteristically gentle. "Yes. I see you two with a child. And... they're beautiful, Robin. But I also see challenges. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it."

Rosalie's hand tightened around mine, her eyes shimmering with unshed venom-tears.

"Thanks, Alice," I said quietly, feeling a lump in my throat.

"So," Esme said brightly, "we wait until you're ready. In the meantime, we'll prepare—discreetly, of course. Right, Carlisle?"

"Of course," Carlisle agreed, though his excitement was palpable.

"And while we're waiting," Emmett said with a grin, "how about we brainstorm baby names? I vote for Emmett Junior."

"Not happening," Rosalie said firmly.

"I second that," I added.

The rest of the meeting was a mix of laughter, playful banter, and a surprising amount of genuine planning. Despite the chaos, one thing was clear: no matter what challenges came our way, we were in this together.

As Isaac put it later, "This family is like a reality show: chaotic, dramatic, and utterly unhinged. But damn, do we love each other."

"By the way, Why are we all sitting here like this?" Isaac muttered from his spot on the armrest of a chair. "This feels like one of those dramatic family interventions, but make it vampire edition."

"Quiet, Isaac," Esme said softly but with the unmistakable authority of a mother about to lay down the law. Isaac froze mid-eye-roll.

I leaned over to Rosalie, whispering, "I feel like this is turning into an episode of Dr. Phil: Immortal Problems Edition."

She stifled a laugh, swatting at me lightly.

Tension was starting to build upp again...

Carlisle stood at the center, a picture of calm and poise as always, though the faint furrow in his brow gave away his worry. "We've gathered to discuss something… unexpected." His gaze swept over the room, landing on me for a moment before moving on.

I gave him a double thumbs-up trying to clear out the tension again. "Don't worry, Dad. I've got this under control."

"Famous last words," Edward muttered from the corner.

"Don't start, Edward," I said, shooting him a glare. "Unless you want me to sing Baby Shark on loop in your head."

He groaned, muttering something about mental torture.

"Focus," Rosalie said, her voice soft but firm. She placed her hand on mine, a gentle reminder to behave. For now.

Alice, perched on the arm of Jasper's chair like a mischievous pixie, cleared her throat dramatically. "We all know what this is about," she said. "Robin's… unique ability."

"Oh, you mean my accidental womb magic?" I quipped, trying to lighten the mood.

"Robin!" Esme scolded, though her lips twitched as if she was suppressing a smile.

"Fine, fine," I said, throwing up my hands in mock surrender. "Let's all collectively freak out about the possibility of me and Rosalie having a kid. Because that's not terrifying at all."

Isaac snorted. "Terrifying is an understatement. I mean, you? A parent? Someone better babyproof the entire world."

"Oh, like you'd be any better, Isaac," I shot back. "Your version of childcare would probably involve teaching the kid how to throw shade before they can walk."

"And they'd be fabulous," he retorted, flipping an imaginary strand of hair over his shoulder.

"Enough," Carlisle said, his tone firm but not unkind. "This is serious."

"Sorry, Dad," I mumbled, though the corners of my mouth twitched.

"Robin," Rosalie said, her voice gentle but resolute, "this isn't just about us. It's about the danger this could bring."

I sighed, my playful demeanor faltering. "I know, Rosie. Believe me, I've thought about it. A lot. If the vampire world finds out, we'd have a target on our backs. And that's not even considering what it would mean for the baby."

Esme's expression softened. "But… you've also given us something we never thought possible." Her voice wavered slightly. "The idea of a child—your child—being part of our family…"

"She means grandchild," Isaac whispered loudly, earning a round of laughter.

Esme blushed but didn't deny it.

"I mean, it would be pretty cool," Emmett chimed in. "Little Robin running around, causing chaos. The kid would probably invent new ways to prank Edward."

Edward sighed. "Wonderful. Another disaster in the making."

"Don't act like you're above it," I shot back. "You'd totally be the angsty uncle who teaches them how to brood."

Rosalie rolled her eyes but smiled. "Can we stay on topic, please?"

Alice leaned forward, her expression turning serious. "I've seen it," she said, her voice quiet but certain. "You and Rosalie will have a child someday. A beautiful little girl."

The room fell silent, the weight of her words sinking in.

Rosalie's hand tightened on mine. "A girl?"

Alice nodded. "She'll have your strength, your love, and Robin's…" She paused, glancing at me with a smirk.

"My what?" I asked warily.

"Your chaos," she said with a grin

Alice's grin was mischievous, but her words hit the room like a thunderclap. Silence followed, everyone processing her vision.

"A girl…" Rosalie's voice was a whisper, her golden eyes distant as if she could already see the child Alice had described.

My heart twisted at the look on her face—a fragile mix of longing and fear. Rosalie had wanted children once, a dream stolen from her by fate and vampire venom. For a long time, she'd buried that pain, locking it away beneath her icy, unyielding exterior. Now, with Alice's words hanging in the air, that dream seemed to flicker back to life.

And damn it, that scared me.

"Alright," I said, leaning forward, forcing some levity into my tone. "So, according to Alice, we're having a mini-me. And she's a girl. Great. Question is, does she come with a manual? Because I am not winging it."

"You wing everything," Edward muttered.

"Exactly," I replied. "And look how well that's turned out!"

Rosalie sighed, her lips twitching as if fighting a smile. "You're impossible."

"That's why you love me," I said, giving her a wink.

"This isn't a joke, Robin," Carlisle interrupted, his tone calm but serious. "if Alice's visions are to come true. If you and Rosalie have a child, it raises a lot of questions—ones we may not have answers to."

"And a hell of a lot of risks," Jasper added, his Southern drawl cutting through the room. "If the Volturi catch wind of this…" He trailed off, but the weight of his words was clear.

The Volturi. The self-proclaimed rulers of the vampire world. A secret like this wouldn't just pique their curiosity—it would bring them down on us like a storm.

I met Jasper's gaze, my usual cockiness fading. "You think they'd see her as a threat?"

"They'd see her as an opportunity," Jasper corrected grimly. "A child born of two vampires? That's unprecedented. They'd want to control her—or destroy her if they couldn't."

My stomach turned at the thought. Rosalie's grip on my hand tightened, her eyes blazing with protectiveness.

"No one is taking anything from us," she said, her voice cold and sharp as glass. "Not her. Not this."

The room fell silent again, Rosalie's declaration a line drawn in the sand.

Alice broke it, her tone lighter, though her eyes betrayed her worry. "We don't have to figure everything out right now. This isn't happening tomorrow. Visions change, and the future is fluid. But…" She hesitated, glancing between me and Rosalie. "It is happening. One way or another."

I let out a breath, running a hand through my hair. "Alright, so what do we do? Do we start baby-proofing the house? Stock up on diapers? What's the protocol for a vampire kid, anyway?"

Isaac snorted. "You're assuming you'll survive long enough to be a parent. With your luck, you'll probably blow something up before then."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence," I said dryly.

Emmett grinned. "Hey, I think it's awesome. A little chaos machine running around? Again, Count me in as the fun uncle."

"Don't encourage him," Edward muttered.

"Edward," Esme said softly, her motherly gaze landing on him. "You know this family has faced greater challenges before. We'll face this one, too."

Edward sighed, rubbing his temples. "I'm not saying we can't handle it. But this changes everything."

"It doesn't have to," Carlisle said. "At least, not yet. We'll prepare, as we always do. Together."

Rosalie turned to me, her expression softer now, vulnerable in a way she rarely allowed herself to be. "Robin," she said quietly, "are you ready for this? Really ready?"

I stared at her, my heart thudding. Ready? Hell no. I wasn't ready for parenthood. I wasn't ready to paint a target on our backs.

And that hesitation must have shown, because Rosalie's hand slipped from mine. She glanced down, her expression unreadable.

"I think…" she began, her voice barely audible. "I think we need more time."

Her words hung in the air, and for a moment, no one spoke.

"I agree," Carlisle said gently, breaking the silence. "This isn't just about the two of you. If Alice's vision is true, this child could change everything—for us, for the vampire world. We need to think carefully about what that means."

Rosalie nodded, her face hardening into resolve. "We can't bring a child into this world unless we know she'll be safe. And right now? We don't know that."

Alice looked torn, her fingers twitching as if she wanted to argue. But finally, she gave a small nod. "The future isn't set," she said softly. "It can change. And maybe… maybe waiting is the right choice."

I swallowed hard, my throat tight. Part of me wanted to fight, to say we'd figure it out no matter what. But looking at Rosalie, seeing the mix of hope and fear in her eyes, I knew she was right.

"Okay," I said finally. "We wait. We plan. And when the time is right…" I trailed off, meeting Rosalie's gaze. "We'll know."

She smiled faintly, relief softening her features. "When the time is right," she echoed.

The room seemed to exhale as one, the tension easing. It wasn't a solution, not really, but it was a start. And for now, that was enough.
