Another World Fluffy Cafe

Ch61 Vol3 - Morning Moments at the Fluffy Cafe

Chapter 1: Morning Moments at the Fluffy Cafe

Restarting updates.

I would be happy if you enjoy it.

A gentle, pleasant breeze brushed against Taichi’s cheek, heralding the start of another fun day.

“It’s such nice weather today~”

Stretching his arms and taking a deep breath, he felt satisfied with the fresh air filling his lungs and turned to look behind him.

There stood the “Fluffy Cafe,” which also served as Taichi’s residence.

Inside, his tamed companions, the fluffy creatures, were lounging around comfortably.

Taichi Arima had arrived in this other world after saving a cat deity that was about to be hit by a car.

He was a typical Japanese man with black hair and black eyes, a former salaryman.

He had worked tirelessly for his company, and his only solace had been visiting cat cafes. It had been a tiring life, but now every day was fresh and enjoyable.

The cat deity had granted him a unique job called “Loved by Fluffies.” Thanks to that, he was adored by the fluffy creatures.

Additionally, the cat deity had bestowed upon him many convenient skills with unlimited levels.

Taichi’s cafe was rented from the Tamer Guild.

The location was on the outskirts of the city of Relim in the Shurukuku Kingdom. It was a tranquil place he loved, but it had become a bit cramped.

The reason was that the fluffy creatures had multiplied too much. It couldn’t be helped; if there was an adorable creature, he just had to tame it and bring it home.

Thus, Taichi decided to purchase the property. He also intended to buy surrounding land for expansion.

(Thanks to Luke, I have enough money to buy it…)

While chuckling dryly at his cafe, Luke skillfully opened the door and stepped outside.

“Taichi, hurry up and make breakfast!”

It seemed he had come to demand his meal.

Wagging his tail vigorously, Luke urged him to hurry. Luke loved the meals Taichi prepared and always looked forward to them.

Well, his tsundere personality meant he rarely acted sweetly.

Emerging with an empty stomach was his partner, Luke.

With a beautiful and powerful platinum-colored coat and intimidating eyes, he was none other than the legendary monster that everyone believed no longer existed—the Fenrir.

Though he had a tsundere personality, he adored Taichi. His next favorite things were dragon meat and beanbag cushions.

“Sorry, sorry! I’ll get it ready right away.”

“Mhm!”

As Taichi entered the cafe, the fluffy creatures rushed toward him.

They all adored him, and it seemed that everyone wanted breakfast.

They rubbed their heads against his legs.

There were five types of monsters in the Fluffy Cafe.

Fenrir, ten Berry Rabbits, Cerberus, ten Forest Cats, and a total of twenty-three Ore Hedgehogs.

(Ah, but the Cerberus has three heads, each with its own will, so should it count as three?)

It was quite a dilemma.

“Oh, right! It’s time for breakfast. I’ll prepare it, so please wait a little longer.”

“I’ll help.”

“Oh, thanks!”

When Taichi headed to the kitchen, Ume followed him.

She skillfully opened a drawer and retrieved a food bowl in her mouth.

“Thank you!”

The heavy ceramic bowl was easily carried by Ume, a Forest Cat.

With a flower necklace adorning her left ear and around her neck, she was a charming cat-like monster. She was the boss of the ten Forest Cats and was the only one who could speak.

She had become a couple with Ruby, the Ore Hedgehog, and they spent their time together happily, which was very heartwarming to watch.

Taichi took out three types of dry food from the shelf and began measuring them into the bowls.

“Ume, you get this one, and Sakura gets this one…”

“Ah, I want this one!”

“Right! Sorry, sorry.”

Taichi hurriedly corrected his mistake and, with Ume’s help, had prepared dry food for all the Forest Cats.

(I’ve heard that cats can be picky eaters, but it seems to be true.)

At first, they had been eating the dry food, but perhaps due to getting used to it, some of them started not to eat much.

Wondering what to do, he consulted with Ume, who revealed that it wasn’t their favorite flavor.

She suggested feeding them by coaxing, but Taichi shook his head.

(I want them to eat what they like and enjoy it.)

He didn’t intend to force them to eat food they didn’t like. There were many kinds of dry food, so he just needed to find something they would enjoy.

(Though finding that out was quite a challenge…)

With Ume’s cooperation, he gradually figured out each of their preferences and would observe how they reacted when eating.

It would have been great if he could talk to all the Forest Cats, but cognitively, only the boss could converse.

(About the equivalent of a two-year-old human, perhaps?)

“Now then, next is Luke and the others’ food.”

Luke’s food was, needless to say, meat. The Cerberus liked fruits, while the Berry Rabbits preferred carrots and strawberries. The Ore Hedgehogs had no dislikes and would eat anything delicious.

At that moment, Luke came over to check on things.

“Taichi, I want to eat dragon meat!”

“I don’t have any left; that was the last of what we had the other day.”

“What?!”

Luke’s face fell in shock. It was unimaginable despair when his request for his favorite food was denied.

“I guess I’ll have to go hunting again…”

“Wait! Don’t go hunting dragons so easily!”

Ordinary people would brace for death if they encountered a dragon. But Luke was so strong that he could easily defeat one.

(I’ll just go buy some food… Should I go hunt? No, that’s way too grand.)

The problem was that Taichi would have to accompany him.

If Luke went alone, he wouldn’t be able to bring the dragon back. Well, to be precise, he could carry it back in his mouth.

(But that would cause a huge commotion in the city.)

Taichi wanted to live peacefully, so he would prefer to avoid such things.

However, if Taichi went along, he could easily bring back a dragon carcass in the magical bag given to him by the cat deity.

With a sigh, Taichi shrugged his shoulders as he looked at Luke.

“It’s too noticeable during the day, so let’s go at night.”

“Fine, if you say so, I’ll wait until night!”

Though Luke spoke those words, his tail was wagging so vigorously it seemed it would break off.

(He’s really happy… What a tsundere.)

Just seeing that made Taichi forgive him for everything.

Grinning at Luke’s adorableness, he finished preparing meals for everyone.

“Alright, everyone, it’s time for breakfast~!”

At that, everyone rushed over.

“Yay, it’s time for food~!”

“I was getting hungry!”

“Let’s eat quickly~!”

The first to arrive were the Cerberus, Pino, Chloro, and Nohr.

With their shiny black fur, they displayed a beauty different from Luke’s. Normally, they would be about three meters long, but now they had shrunk to about thirty centimeters.

“Ume, I’ll help too!”

“Thank you. Then, please take care of this.”

“Okay!”

Next came Ruby, the Ore Hedgehog.

His back was covered in needles made of ore and jewels, making him a rare monster. The red color mixed in was as beautiful as a ruby, and his name came from that.

It seemed he had been searching for a mate while traveling the world, but he ended up starving and collapsing in front of the Fluffy Cafe, where Taichi rescued him.

After that, he confessed to Ume and successfully became her mate.

With Ume and Ruby distributing food to everyone, the meal proceeded smoothly.

The Berry Rabbits eagerly ate their strawberries, and the Forest Cats were munching on their dry food.

(Alright, everyone looks healthy today.)

After doing a quick health check, Taichi prepared his own breakfast and spent a pleasant morning.
