Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

When Bai Meiyue ordered so many barbecue skewers, the waiter raised his head and looked at her before asking, "Are you sure you can eat so much?" 

"It's for a company dinner. I am only here to take away the order," Bai Meiyue randomly made an excuse to deal with the questioning. 

Her excuse sounded legit; thus the waiter didn't refuse and agreed. 

The barbecue shop had just opened; thus, the big order clearly alerted the boss of the shop. He was really happy with such a big order and once he was finished cooking, he offered Bai Meiyue a number of sauces and pickles. 

"Here, madam, this is pickled radish and garlic. And this is chicken gizzard and chilli sauce; this here is pickled cucumber and our secret sauce that we sprinkle on the grilled meat. This is a little something to show our gratitude for such a big order," said the shop owner. 

"Thank you." Bai Meiyue didn't refuse the sauces and pickles. After all, in the post-apocalyptic world, even the smallest bit of food mattered. 

She asked the waiter to put the food boxes in the trunk of the car; of course, the space of the trunk was not enough but every time the waiter turned around, Bai Meiyue would put as many food boxes as possible in the space ring. 

Thus, by the time the waiter finished putting the food boxes in, the space of the trunk was nearly full and was not bulging. 

The waiter was quite surprised and wondered how much space the trunk of the car had but before he could take a look clearly, Bai Meiyue closed the trunk and drove away, leaving the waiter confused.

Bai Meiyue calmly pressed the button on the gem of the space ring before turning her attention back to the road. Once she was done checking the storage property of the space ring, Bai Meiyue went to the shopping mart, where she purchased hundreds of cups of boba milk tea, hundreds of cartons of juices, and hundreds of cans of coffee. 

Of course she used the same excuse as before and told the cashier that she was there to buy these things for a company dinner. 

Once she was done, Bai Meiyue went to another shop. Of course she was not foolish to buy everything from one shop, in case she alerted some evil-hearted people. She bought a little something from one shop and then went to another shop.

As for the dog house, Bai Meiyue's eyes softened when she thought of the female dog who died while protecting Bai Cai. That poor thing, she only fed her a little piece of bread and she returned the favour by fighting with Bai Cai's kidnappers until she died. 

Bai Meiyue was determined to get hold of that female dog and give her a proper life this time around. 

What was more, that dog was really smart and fiercely loyal, which would add another layer of protection for Bai Cai.

As soon as she finished speaking, the woman in ancient robes looked up with bright eyes. 

"Are you speaking the truth?" the woman asked. Because she was thrown into icy water when she was very young, her body was affected seriously. Especially her womb—even though she practiced mystical arts, she couldn't do anything about her cold womb. 

For her, creating ten invisibility talismans was child's play but the cramps and her cold womb were quite a matter of worry for her. 

"I have no reason to lie to you," Bai Meiyue stated with a calm voice. 

When the woman heard her response, she nodded. Indeed, Bai Meiyue had no reason to lie to her. 

She said to her, "Here, let's add one another. This way we can do a private barter exchange; you will be responsible for exchanging the brown sugar and medicines to help my womb and I will be responsible for handing you talismans according to your requirements." 

Bai Meiyue found the offer tempting and agreed. She exchanged her private information with the woman before taking the talismans and then handing over the ten pounds of brown sugar and medicines. 

Once the barter was over, Bai Meiyue returned to the car. She looked down at the yellow pieces of talisman and her lips curled up. 

Now, this was great. She had been wondering how to wipe clean Lu Ling's warehouse where he stored weapons. It was quite a big headache for her, as that warehouse was one of the biggest reasons why Lu Ling climbed so high in the post-apocalyptic world. 

Thus, Bai Meiyue had been making several plans to steal those weapons. However, none of them were foolproof. 

But with these invisibility talismans, she didn't have to worry about being caught. 

"Lu Ling… this time I will see how you will become the top boss," sneered Bai Meiyue.
