Aries: Tale of the octagon

"Okay, can the both of you just cooperate" I said sternly. "You look cute when you're angry Aries" Nex said. I was trying not to blush, but it was quite impossible. "You're a pervy flirt" Star murmured. I just rubbed it off and pretended like nothing happened.

"Nex, can you remember what happened after King Jupiter; my birth father, took me to Cyrus"? "Everytime I try to remember, my head goes blank" he complained. "That's so shady, why would he forget the most important part" Star said waving her hands like an angry plushy. "If you have a problem with me, you can leave" Nex said, chuckling softly. "Stop it, don't talk to my bestie that way" I yelled to Nex. "And Star, stop acting like a baby" I yelled as well.

There was silence, then Nex broke the silence. "Has anything weird happened to you lately" Star asked. "Well, I received a note from someone" I answered, recollecting what happened earlier. "What did it say, and do you know who sent it" Nex asked. "It said, I'm your worst nightmare, I'm always watching, and I don't know who sent it", I replied in discomfort. "Oh no, this is bad" he said. "The person who wrote it is using our unawareness against us" Star guessed. "True, that's why we need to go to tower of memories" Nex suggested. I was like so lost when he said that. "What's the tower of memories" Star and I asked at the same time.

"It's kind of like a library. It's the biggest source of information. One could get any information from the tower, especially about mages; people who use magic. Aries, we can get the answers to all your questions there. And maybe we might find out how to get the remaining universe keys" he explained.

I was glad and overwhelmed at the same time. My life of mysteries and unanswered questions was unbearable. But my happiness was that I was another step closer to uncovering the truth.
