Beautiful CEO's Super Expert

Chapter 92: Su Chen in his sleep

Su Chen walked up to the door of Lin Ruoxue's room and tried to gently push it open; the door creaked open with ease.

Lin Ruoxue, dressed in her pajamas, was lying on the bed, flipping through a magazine. However, her eyes didn't seem to focus on the magazine; she appeared somewhat distracted.

But when she saw Su Chen sneaking in, she immediately pretended to read with great interest.

"Wife, where are my things from the bed?"

It was Su Chen's first time entering Lin Ruoxue's boudoir, and he naturally felt a bit excited. Lin Ruoxue's room, like her, was simply but tastefully decorated.

"I put them away," Lin Ruoxue said deliberately calmly, "Do you want Aunt to find out we're sleeping in separate rooms?"

"Oh, I see."

Su Chen gave a sheepish smile, wishing he could slap himself for asking such a question.

"Hasn't Aunt already left?"

Su Chen didn't know what came over him, maybe it was the excitement that short-circuited his brain, for he blurted out an even more foolish remark.

"Isn't Ruohan still here?"

Lin Ruoxue hummed in annoyance, as if she was extremely reluctant to share a room with him.

"You know Ruohan is sharp. If she finds out, it won't be good. So sleep here for the next few days," Lin Ruoxue continued, her voice getting softer and almost inaudible towards the end.

"Wise as always, my dear wife."

Su Chen beamed and flattered her, then he lifted a corner of the blanket, ready to crawl in, but the moment he touched the bed, Lin Ruoxue's leg shot out and kicked him off.

"What are you doing?"

Su Chen suddenly got annoyed. He was all smiles, and yet he was treated like this. It was utterly intolerable.

"What are you coming up here for?"

Lin Ruoxue clutched the blanket tightly, eyeing Su Chen with a wary expression.

"What nonsense, I'm obviously here to sleep. Didn't you tell me to sleep here?"

"I told you to sleep in this room, but I didn't say you could get on the bed!"

"Then where should I sleep?"

Su Chen was immediately puzzled and asked.

"Here, make yourself a spot on the floor," Lin Ruoxue suggested, pointing to the floor.

"What? You want me to sleep on the floor?" Su Chen immediately frowned and retorted, "No way, I won't sleep! Just give me the blanket and I'll go back to my own room."

Lin Ruoxue was taken aback; she hadn't expected Su Chen to refuse. The idea of sharing a room with Su Chen was already a stretch for her, let alone sharing a bed. She couldn't do it, at least not now.

But she couldn't allow Su Chen to return to his room either. If Ruohan found out and told their parents, they would surely worry all over again.

"What exactly do you want?"

Lin Ruoxue looked at Su Chen through gritted teeth, her eyes seeming to blaze with fire.

"I'm not sleeping on the floor, deal with it!"

Su Chen spread his hands helplessly, pretending not to notice the frost on Lin Ruoxue's face.

As Lin Ruoxue stared at his resolute, indifferent face, she felt so annoyed that her teeth itched, but she had no way to get back at him.

"Fine, then sleep on another blanket on the bed, but you are absolutely not to have any inappropriate thoughts."

After a few minutes, Lin Ruoxue saw that Su Chen was not giving in; she had no choice but to compromise.

"Alright, don't worry. Don't you trust my character?"

The moment Su Chen heard Lin Ruoxue agree to let him sleep on the bed, he immediately grinned mischievously.

Lin Ruoxue rolled her eyes and thought to herself, "I really can't trust your character!"

Su Chen opened the wardrobe and pulled out a brand-new quilt to spread on the bed, his movements brisk and efficient.

"Waited for so long, finally until today; dreamed for so long, finally to make dreams come true..."

After spreading the quilt, he flipped into it, humming an old song, but the tune was nowhere near correct.

A perfectly motivational song sounded indecent in his rendition, giving Lin Ruoxue an intense feeling of inviting a wolf into her home.

"You're not allowed to cross this line, or else..."

Lin Ruoxue extended her slender hand and drew a line in the middle of their shared quilt, as if it were the boundary between two great territories.

"Don't worry, I won't cross this line,"

Su Chen agreed nonchalantly, but he couldn't care less—the moment he fell asleep, who would still be concerned about such things?

Seeing how readily he agreed, Lin Ruoxue didn't feel more at ease but instead became more anxious.

She thought for a moment, then got out of bed, opened the drawer on the vanity, and Su Chen watched as Lin Ruoxue rummaged through, curious about what she was looking for.

"Found it!"

Suddenly, Lin Ruoxue exclaimed happily, then turned around, a gleaming pair of scissors in her hand.

"What are you doing with scissors? Put those away!"

Su Chen hurriedly said when he saw Lin Ruoxue holding the scissors.

"Hmph, it's a self-defense tool,"

Lin Ruoxue glanced at a certain part below Su Chen and made a cutting gesture.

Seeing Lin Ruoxue's fierce expression, Su Chen's heart skipped a beat, and he suddenly felt a chill between his legs.

"I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare!"

Su Chen quickly shook his head, immediately dismissing a certain thought.

If he were to accidentally go too far, it could impact the happiness of his latter life, which would be too much of a loss.

"Hmph, I didn't think you would dare!"

Lin Ruoxue snorted and climbed back onto the bed, carefully placing the scissors under her pillow.

Only then did Lin Ruoxue feel a slight sense of security, and with that, she turned off the light and closed her eyes.

But how could she dare to sleep with a man beside her? Even though this man was her husband.

About half an hour later, Su Chen's lengthy breathing could be heard, suggesting he had fallen asleep.

Lin Ruoxue gently turned on the lamp on the bedside table, looked at Su Chen beside her, and found he had completely entered dreamland.

"Su Chen, Su Chen."

Lin Ruoxue called out quietly twice and, seeing no reaction from him, finally let her guard down.

Lin Ruoxue didn't immediately turn off the light and go to sleep, but instead propped her head on one hand and tilted her head to carefully observe Su Chen.

Under the soft glow of the lamp, his features were sharply defined, his face chiseled to perfection, with thick brows, a prominent nose, and moderately full lips slightly pursed.

"Actually, he is quite good-looking,"

Lin Ruoxue thought to herself, but she quickly blushed at this thought, her heart fluttering chaotically, thankful that there was no one else in the room.

Lin Ruoxue calmed her emotions and again scrutinized him carefully.

Did he have something on his mind? Otherwise, why would his eyebrows be furrowed even in sleep? The sorrow in his eyes seemed so thick it couldn't be dissolved.

Lin Ruoxue suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of heartache and instinctively extended a finger, wanting to smooth away the sadness around his eyes.
