Tsunade looked at the newly completed jutsu record scroll in her hands. Every new jutsu developed in Konoha was documented and stored. Without this resource, learning thousands of jutsus would only be possible with a Sharingan, like Kakashi's, to copy jutsus wherever he went.

Each jutsu was a treasure for Konoha, especially an S+ level jutsu invented by someone like Furen. Tsunade had noticed its powerful impact during his demonstration, though she couldn't understand why he insisted on renaming it. "Come to think of it, it feels a bit limiting to keep Furen at Special Jonin…" Tsunade said, putting away the scroll. "After a few more missions, you'll be promoted to Jonin." Furen's mastery over jutsu and his mission experience made him more than capable of taking on the Jonin rank.

"If he were alive in our time of war, this kid would've already made a name for himself in the ninja world," Tsunade thought, recalling her own level at Furen's age.

"You're almost there, just a little more, and you'll be a full Jonin!" Shizune encouraged with a smile.

"Thank you," Furen replied, smiling back as he scanned the available mission assignments. With Konoha's mission flow back to normal, A-rank missions were scarce, and S-rank ones even rarer.

Casually, he picked up a C-rank mission scroll that looked familiar.

"Furen, you're taking on a C-rank mission?" Shizune asked, curious to see him holding the scroll.

Startled, Furen checked the scroll and remembered the mission's details. It was a request from Cat Granny, seeking help to obtain paw prints from the largest ninja cat to complete her paw print collection.

"Isn't this about that big-faced ninja cat you and Tayuya signed up with?"

With no urgent matters pending, Furen decided to take the mission, saying, "This one's actually related to my summoning beast, so I'll just handle it."

Shizune noticed the large "CAT" on the scroll and exclaimed with a glint in her eye, "I always wanted to sign a contract with a cute creature like a cat…"

Shizune, an animal lover, always kept her pink pig, Tonton, as her companion and summoning beast, not Tsunade's. She had heard of the ninja cats' existence, though they were usually exclusive to the Uchiha clan's weapon shop, making it difficult for outsiders to contact them. Learning that Furen had signed a contract with them, her favorability toward him rose.

After all, those who cared enough to choose a lesser-known, non-combative summoning beast like a cat were typically gentle-hearted, and guys who loved animals tended to be appealing to women.

Hearing this notification, Furen couldn't help but smirk; he hadn't expected he was so close to completely winning her over.

"Just 5% left…" he murmured to himself.

If he won her over completely, not only would he gain an ally, but he could also position her near Tsunade to gather intel—two goals accomplished in one. Judging from her recent favorability increase, her love for animals was clearly an effective route.

"So, Shizune-senpai, would you like to join me on this mission?" he offered. "This could be a great chance for you to sign a contract with a ninja cat and fulfill that wish."

Shizune looked intrigued and hesitated briefly. Her position as Tsunade's assistant meant she rarely had the freedom to manage her own time, and any task outside the village required Tsunade's permission.

Seeing the eager look in her eyes, Tsunade waved her off with a smile. "Go on. You've been busy long enough. Take this light mission to sign a summoning contract as a break."

"Thank you, Lady Tsunade!" Shizune said, bowing gratefully.

Leaving Tonton with Tsunade, Shizune joined Furen as they left the Hokage's office.

"So, shall we head out and start the mission now?" Furen asked.

Shizune brushed her hair aside and said, "Mind waiting a moment while I go home and change? This outfit isn't quite suitable for a mission."

Following her to her residence, Furen stood by the door.

"I'll wait outside, Shizune-senpai," he said, leaning against the door frame.

Shizune paused, then considered it, finally replying, "No need to wait outside, Furen. Just come in; I won't take long." She gestured for him to enter.
