Begin Again In Marvel

POV Rio

It had been a few weeks since I got the new summons and I had finally gotten everyone together and off work for a vacation.

Rio: "Thank you everyone for coming. I thought we had been working very hard and we never go on a true vacation after the Covenant was destroyed so I decided it was high time I resolved that."

Lex: "Where are we going?"

Rio: "A new dimension where the only limit is your creativity. Moreover a safe dimension with no threats. Seto is familiar with it."

Seto: "Me? A safe dimension I know of?"

Rio: "Everyone, gather around and grab the hand of someone."

After everyone is touching, I use the Teleportation spell to get us to the Minecraft Dimension. Once I arrive, I start teaching everyone what they need to do to make things here. Luckily, almost everyone is familiar with Minecraft and knows what to do. Only a few need more instruction, but Seto and I can assist them.

Rio: "Okay now as I said before no mobs will spawn here so I made sure to bring food. You can go solo or join a group and do whatever you want. Those who want to help me build a village for the first residents let me know."

I walk over to a nice plain and start thinking about the design I want to make. I felt a few beings approaching and I was a bit surprised at who decided to join me.

Nick: "I hope you don't mind me helping."

Armstrong: "Same here."

Rio: "No problem I am open to assistance."

I look at the 3 others that came with Nick and Armstrong. Logica, Amélie, and Lucy are the others. I smile at them.

Rio: "Now I was thinking of starting with 20 houses so the Villagers have space to expand. I want the west to be the farms. I also think a wall would be prudent just in case hostile mobs come into existence eventually."

Logica: "Before we can do that we should settle on what kind of materials we want to use. From what I have seen our materials that are easily accessible are Birch, Oak, Spruce, Stone, and whatever we can find underground."

Nick: "You got a point. Oak and cobblestone are the usual materials but the question is do we want to go that direction?"

Armstrong: "We also need to decide if this village will be connected to a castle for Rio or if it will be on its own."

Rio: "I think this village will be on its own for now but may end up expanding to the point where it connects with that mountain over there."

Everyone looks to the North where a massive mountain that is chunks in size. I can see the gears turn inside their heads as they estimate how long it would take for a village to expand to that size.

Amélie: "So it will be by itself for some time. What materials will the castle be made of?"

Rio: "Likely Stone Bricks with mixes of Birch and Dark Oak. I intend on adding other materials to make it a suitable stronghold in case it is needed. As I am sure you can imagine the castle will be massive and full of all sorts of decorations and likely many kinds of materials."

Everyone nodded.

Lucy: "So it probably doesn't matter."

Armstrong: "I suppose. Let's just use Spruce and Cobblestone. Stone can resist explosions pretty well."

We all agree and start collecting the resources. I started making outlines of the houses on a table we brought so we could get a rough idea of what the buildings should look like.

(AN: I tried making a house in Minecraft but it didn't turn out well. I am not good at building fancy in Minecraft.)

A Few Days Later...

It had been a few days since we started on the village and I decided to take a break to see what the science team was up to. An interesting thing we have found is that the days here are perfectly balanced. It has 12 hours of the day and 12 hours of the night.

Faraday: "Ah, Rio I presume you are here to see what we have discovered."

Rio: "Yes I am quite curious as to what you have learned."

Faraday: "The first we tested was gravity. The gravity in this dimension is fascinating. Any amount of water eliminates any form of negative consequences from falling or sudden deacceleration."

Rio: "Hmm, that fits with the game this world is based on."

Tails: "Yes we have also correlated that this world is up to version 1.21.2. Or at least as far as we can tell. Since there is no access to the Nether or End we can't be certain."

Rio: "Ah did you try making portals."

Claw: "Yes we did and we have discovered some fascinating things. For one the portal to exit this realm is the so-called Skylands portal. Orochimaru was the one to confirm that."

Orochimaru: "Indeed my Shadow Clone confirmed it works and it teleports us to the last place we slept. Speaking of sleep it is quite interesting. I wish to have authorization to test if this world allows respawning."

Rio: "I presume you want to use criminals or other undesirables?"

Orochimaru: "Yes, as I am confident you would be displeased if we tested it on ourselves."

Rio: "You would be correct. You can test it at a later date."

Faraday: "The next thing we have discovered is that Redstone Blocks are an infinite source of energy. They do have the downside of only producing a low amount of energy but it still seems to have no ending."

Rio: "Are you certain of this?"

Faraday: "Fairly certain we will only know for certain once we test it over a long period of time but as far as all our instruments are reading it never decreases or increases it always produces the same amount and no matter how much we drain it has more to give."

Rio: "Is it practical for us to use?"

Claw: "Unlikely, as was said it produces a small amount of energy. And the only way to control the power is to remove it as nothing can turn it off. You would have to fill a house with them to power the house. It would be fine for emergencies but inconvenient otherwise."

Orochimaru: "We also don't know what kind of effects long-term exposure may cause. If there are any to be found."

Rio: "Good to know now are all of you taking this time to relax and not just work."

Tails: "Don't worry this is us having fun. We are taking our time with these things and doing a lot of chatting."

Claw: "Indeed, we are also having enjoyment by creating new novel things and crafting new Redstone devices."

Rio: "That's great to hear. After all, I brought everyone here mainly to relax and have fun."

After chatting for a few more minutes I said my goodbyes and went to check on what other things had been made. My first stop was Team RWBY which had made a treehouse and seemed to be playing a game of Defend The Castle.

'Hah, I best keep moving less they decide to make me join.'

I went to the next group which was Lucarios group which consisted of Fennekin, Milotic, Gardevoir, Renamon, Mal0, Chrysalis, and Hulk. They had built all sorts of stuff. One looked like a slightly misshapen Pokeball. The other thing was what I think was supposed to be a Changeling Hive but ended up looking like a pile of green poop. The next thing was 3 different statues that I think were supposed to be me but it's hard to tell.

Chrysalis: "Daddy!"

I brace for impact as the black and green ball of love rushes me.

Rio: "OOOF! You are starting to get a bit chunky."

Chrysalis: "I am not! I am still the cutest snuggest bug in a rug you have ever seen."

I fake a thinking face.

Rio: "Hmmm, I am not so sure. I saw a very cute little larva once but she got all big and now I can't hold her in the palm of my hand."

Chrysalis: "Daddy! Stop bullying me! Lucario Dad is being mean!"

Lucario: "Hahaha, you better stop dad or else."

I raise a challenging eyebrow.

Rio: "Or else what?"

We both get into an old-west showdown stance.

Lucario: "Or else I will have to make a play and you will become the 21st notch on my big iron."

Rio: "Oh you think you can outdraw me? I am the fasted hand in the west."

Lucario: "On the count of three we draw."

We both make our play. Lucario might have gone on living if he hadn't made one fatal slip when he tried to match me with the big iron on my hip.

Pop

Lucario: "Ouch! Dang it how do that every time?!"

I put the toy gun up to my lips and blow the smoke away.

Rio: "You are many years away from matching my quick draw son. But you might be able to outdraw me if I was in my Alicorn but maybe not if I stood on my hind legs."

I didn't mention the fact I wouldn't do that as it is a very awkward pose and horses don't do that for a reason.

Rio: "Now I was just messing with you Chryssi. Do you want to show me what you built?"

Chrysalis: "Hmph."

Rio: "Oh my fragile heart it seems my sweet daughter that I toiled away for her entire life no longer loves me."

I dramatically fall over on a couch that I summoned.

Rio: "Ana- I mean Chrysalis, you're breaking my heart."

I make an illusion of my heart shattering into millions of tiny fragments.

Chrysalis: "Hehehe. Stop it, dad, I forgive you."

Rio: "No, no, I get it. When Changelings get to a certain age, they don't need their dads anymore. You are a strong, independent Changeling who don't need no man."

Chrysalis bops me on the head.

Chrysalis: "No Dad I still need you. Now let me show you what cool stuff I made."

I smile and join her on the tour of her "castle".

POV Gardevoir

I laugh quietly at the antics of Rio and Chrysalis.

'How adorable.'

Mal0: "Isn't that the cutest thing you have ever seen?"

Renamon: "Hmph, it's not that cute."

We all look at her with blank stares.

(AN: Press X to Doubt.)

Renamon blushes when we clearly don't believe her. Renamon leaves to pout in a corner.

Milotic: "It's nice to see Rio relax around his children."

Gardevoir: "It's nice to see that even though they aren't the same species Rio doesn't seem to care. He only sees his kids."

Mal0: "Yeah that's one of his perks. To him, everyone is just a being. I think he likes the quote, 'The circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.' He seems to live by that quote. It doesn't matter what you are, all that matters is you can be his friend."

I smile and think back to how he treats everyone he meets.

'Maybe... Just maybe...'
