Being A Law God In Marvel!

Chapter 21: Old Photo

Ryuji broke into the enemy camp like a shadow, moving swiftly and killing with the precision of a predator.

His "Darkness" ability was a force to be reckoned with, robbing enemies of strength, breath, and life itself. It could manifest as a 'dark blade,' slashing through foes effortlessly, while also rendering him immune to most physical attacks.

On this battlefield, he was practically untouchable.

The black mist snaked through the German troops, silent and lethal. Soldiers who came into contact with it fell lifelessly, their strength drained in an instant.

The Maxim heavy machine gun, which had kept the allied forces pinned down, fell silent. Diana, relieved of the pressure, surged forward, with Logan and Victor following closely behind.

On their side, the allied soldiers, emboldened by the display, charged forward with renewed vigor.

"Charge!"

"They did it! Let's go!"

Victor let out a feral roar, leaping into the trenches like a beast unleashed. His claws tore through the heads of two German soldiers, splattering blood everywhere.

"ROAR!"

Victor was a force of nature, his bloodlust fully awakened. Inside the trench, he was a merciless killing machine, taking lives with a single swipe of his claws.

Diana watched his rampage with a frown. While she appreciated his loyalty, she couldn't ignore the sheer brutality of his methods.

Compared to Victor, Logan's kills were far less savage. His bone claws pierced the chests of his enemies with precision, but there was no wild bloodlust—just cold efficiency.

Diana couldn't shake the unease she felt around Victor. His bloodlust and the aura of death clinging to him were palpable—marks of a man who had killed thousands without hesitation.

"Ryuji!"

The soldiers rallied and began to overpower the German forces. The trench had turned into a rout, and Diana called out to Ryuji.

Ryuji emerged from the chaos, his form shifting from a swirling black mist back into a humanoid figure made of shadow. His featureless face remained an eerie void, and yet he exuded calm control.

"Over there! They're regrouping!" Diana pointed to a passage.

"That's the way to Feld, isn't it?"

"Yes."

"Then let's move. Carlos, Logan, Victor—stay close."

"Got it!"

"Go!"

Diana leaped forward with superhuman strength, covering an impossible distance in a single bound. It was a display of raw power that left even the hardened mutants stunned.

Victor watched her in disbelief. "Did you see that?"

Logan nodded. "Yeah. And here I was thinking gods were just legends."

The two followed closely, their claws ready for the fight ahead. Ryuji and Carlos stayed back momentarily to cover the rear, ensuring the advancing troops had no stragglers to ambush them.

Steve and his group hesitated for a moment before deciding to follow. "Let's move, GO—GO!" Steve shouted.

As they approached Feld, the central clock tower came into view. An armored vehicle was stationed at its base, its cannon and heavy machine gun laying down relentless firepower.

Diana surged forward, her shield taking the brunt of the assault. But a lucky cannon shell dislodged it, leaving her momentarily exposed.

Angered, Diana charged forward with nothing but her bare hands.

"Boom!"

The sound echoed as her shoulder smashed into the armored vehicle, crumpling it like paper.

Logan whistled in amazement. "Did you just see that?"

Victor chuckled, though he was equally stunned. "Remind me never to piss her off."

Diana lifted the vehicle with ease, hurling it into the enemy forces before turning her attention to the remaining soldiers. Her raw power was awe-inspiring, even to seasoned warriors like Logan and Victor.

In the chaos, Ryuji remained calm, his dark form weaving through the battlefield. Bullets passed harmlessly through his shadowy body as he advanced toward the clock tower.

"Diana—there's a sniper in the tower!" Ryuji shouted as he felt a bullet graze through his mist-like body. "Take them out!"

Diana nodded, sprinting toward him.

Ryuji cupped his hands together, forming a platform for Diana. She stepped onto his hands, and with a burst of strength, he launched her skyward.

"Go!"

Diana soared into the air, crashing into the top of the clock tower and bringing it down in a cascade of rubble.

Victor, Logan, and the others watched in awe as the dust settled, revealing Diana standing triumphantly amidst the wreckage.

The townspeople below erupted into cheers, tears streaming down their faces as they embraced one another. Diana, seeing their joy, felt a deep sense of fulfillment.

A photographer approached the group hesitantly, holding up his camera.

"Thank you... Thank you for saving us," he said, his voice trembling. "May I... take a photo of you all?"

Diana smiled warmly and gestured for the team to gather. On her left stood Ryuji, Carlos, Logan, and Victor. On her right were Steve and the others.

The photographer snapped the picture, immortalizing the moment of their victory.
