Black Clover: The Spirit Angel Magic Knight

On the other side of the portal, Asta can be seen sliding across the ground with his face.

Asta: *Screams and Groans*

Yami, Gordon, and Finral appear on this side of the portal, walking towards the base.

Gordon: *Whispering* "Man I'm beat."

Finral: "Phew!"

Asta pushed himself up, saying to himself.

Asta: "Jeez, that hurt."

Asta saw the Black Bulls' base, gasping in shock.

Asta: "All right, the Black Bulls' hideout!"

Yami: "Nice, huh? We got a snazzy place."

Finral: "Mm-hmm! Crumbling brick and all!"

Gordon: *Whispering* "That's right. Home sweet home."

Asta: "As of today, it's gonna be my place, too."

Asta: "All right!"

Asta ran to the gate of the base, opening it and seeing Fred with Noelle standing beside him, binding everyone inside with them being penetrated with pillars of light, pulling them using rope made of Holy Magic towards the gate.

Asta: "I'm the newest member of this squad. Fresh from Hage Village. Asta—"

The bound Black Bulls: "What are you doing Fred?!! You better have a good reason!!"

Fred turned towards them, pointing behind Asta.

Fred: "Are you sure that you want to embarrass your great Captain Yami? Even you all being bound is less embarrassing then when Noelle and I came."

Yami walked in front of Asta, saying to him while not caring about what is happening inside.

Yami: "This is us. The worst of the worst Magic Knight squads. Welcome to the Black Bulls."

Bound Black Bulls: "Captain Yami! Please get him to release us!"

Fred: "I will release you if you all agree to do an entire week of intense physical training starting from tomorrow, because most of you have reached the limit of mana that your current vessel can hold, which will increase the stronger your body is up until a certain level. I believe that most Magic Knights have the potential to have the mana reserves of a Magic Knight squad captain when they reach the limit of increasing their physical capabilities."

Yami: "That sounds like fun, let's do it. And if any of you chicken out… I'll kill you!"

Yami threatened the squad members, remembering what Fred told him about devils invading.

At this time, in the headquarters of the Golden Dawn, Yuno is getting his own welcome.

The Golden Dawn's headquarters is a palace-like structure atop a hill in an unknown region of the Clover Kingdom.

"Hmm. You must be our new recruit this year. What's your name?"

Yuno: "It's Yuno."

"Hmph. Well, my name is Klaus Lunettes."

Klaus is a tall young man with a slender build and slanted light fuchsia eyes. He has a long, thin, and pointed nose with a large chin. His light blue colored hair is short and pushed to the sides and back while also having an angular fringe to his left-hand side. Additionally, he also wears a pair of gold, hooped earrings and dark glasses with rectangular frames. A diamond-like shape protrudes from the bridge of these glasses(seemingly fitted along his face). His glasses are usually pressed up against his face.

As a nobleman, Klaus dresses immaculately from top to bottom. He wears a double-breasted, long-sleeved shirt with a high collar and gold-colored trimmings around the edges. The collar also has a chain connecting both ends of the collar as an ornament. The shirt itself is made of two different colors where it is light-colored at the side and dark-colored on the middle. The sleeves are mostly in light-colored fabric, except the wrist area where it has dark-colored fabric. The shirt extends below his waist and Klaus also wears a light-colored sash on top of it. Furthermore, Klaus also wears a casual light-colored pants and a pair of high boots to complement it. The dark-colored boots also have fur around the collar. Lastly, Klaus wear a long dark-colored robe on top of his outfit. The robe has enough length to cover his entire body.

As a member of the Golden Dawn squad, Klaus also wears the squad's signature robe. The robe is made of gold-colored fabric with faint gold patterns on the surface and only covers his torso. The hood also has a blue fur around the edges and a pair of blue rope coming out the left-hand side. The robes are attached to a gold button on the right-hand side where it keeps the robe together. Additionally, the squad's insignia is also positioned at the left-hand side of the robe.

Klaus: "A commoner from a tiny village. Somebody who is of neither royal nor noble birth. What was Captain Vangeance thinking letting you in?"

Klaus paused before continuing.

Klaus: "Don't get cocky just because all of the captains raised their hands for you. It means nothing. You'll need more than that to be accepted as a true knight of the Golden Dawn."

Yuno: "I'm certain I'll prove myself soon enough."

Klaus turned around and started walking, continuing to talk.

Klais: "Hmph. Watch that smart mouth."

Back at the Black Bulls' base, Asta is getting introduced to everyone after they have all been released by Fred.

Yami: "Now, like I was saying, this shrimp here is another of our new members."

Asta: "What do you mean 'other'?"

Yami: "Go on, tell ''em your name or somethin'."

Fred: "Asta, Noelle and I are the other new members."

Asta: "Yes, sir! My name's Asta, from Hage Village. It's really nice to meet everyone!"

Magna: "You're from Hage? That's out in the middle of nowhere."

Yami: "Finral, introduce everyone, will ya?"

Finral: "Okay. Let's see, where to start this time?"

Finral pondered before he began to introduce Fred and Noelle.

Finral: "This is Fred Uriel. He's a training maniac, but he's good people. And standing next to him is Noelle Silva. She is a bit arrogant, but she's good people."

Fred: "Yo! Asta, you need some training to actually use what can be considered your magic attribute."

Noelle: "Asta, you better only ask us for help when you can't do it yourself."

Fred and Noelle introduced themselves. Finral then pointed to Gordon.

Finral: "You know Gordon Agrippa."

Gordon: *Whisper* "Nice to meet you."

Finral: "Not always the easiest gut to talk to, but he's good people."

Finral then pointed to Vanessa.

Finral: "Next, we have Vanessa Enoteca. Tends to pick fights when she's drunk, but she's good people."

Vanessa: "Same as I replied to you last time, picking fights? I don't know what you're talking about."

Vanessa then began to flirt with Asta.

Vanessa: "Hage Village? Way off on the outskirts of the kingdom?"

Asta: "Yeah."

Vanessa: "Hmm. To make your way from a little backwater village to a Magic Knight squad? You must have worked so hard. Nice, kiddo. What do you say I give you something as a reward, huh?"

Asta began to get very flustered and began chuckling nervously. Asta began to scratch his head, thinking in his heart.

Asta: 'Man, that's hard to turn down, but my heart is set on Sister Lily, and I will stay true to her no matter what.'

Vanessa then began to vomit.

Finral: "All right, let's continue, shall we?"

Asta: "Huh?"

Luck then jumped up, waving his hand at Finral.

Luck: "Hey, do me next!"

Finral: "Luck Voltia. A battle freak who's addicted to fighting, but he's good people."

Luck: "Nice meeting you. So, hey, do you like to fight?"

Asta: "Uh. Sure?"

Luck: "Yeah? That's cool. I love it!"

Luck then began to lightly punch his fist into Asta's hand while continuing.

Luck: "What do you say? Wanna go?

Asta: "Well, uh…"

Gauche came up to Asta with his nose bleeding, showing the same picture of Marie, his little sister to Asta as he did with Fred and Noelle.

Gauche: "Hey."

Asta: "Huh?"

Gauche: "See her?"

Asta: "Huh?"

Gauche: "My sister, Marie, she's and angel."

Asta: "Yeah?"

Gauche then lowered the picture, before glaring at Asta and said threateningly. 

Gauche: "Listen, if you lay a finger on her, then you die."

Asta: *Exclaims* "Wha—"

Finral: "Gauche Adlai. Loves his sister a tad too much, but he's good people."

Finral then began to introduce Charmy who is munching on cupcakes.

Charmy: *Munch*

Finral: "This here is Charmy Pappitson. A big eater, but she's good people."

Charmy put her hand in the air, saying enthusiastically.

Charmy: "Nice to meet ya!"

Finral then began to introduce Grey who is still in the form of the big man.

Grey: *Grunt*

Finral: "And this is Grey. I don't really get him, but he's good people."

Grey: *Grumble*

Asta: "Uh. Hi."

While Asta wasn't paying attention, Magna has gotten into his face.

Magna: *Growl*

Finral: "And this is Magna. A street punk, but he's good people."

Magna: *Grunt*

Asta: 'Scary!'

Finral then pointed to himself, introducing himself.

Finral: "And I am Finral Roulacase, Lady-killer."

Finral then began to dramatically introduce Yami.

Finral: "And finally, we have the Black Bulls' fearless leader. The great Captain Yami Sukehiro."

Asta: 'What, no "He's good people"?"

Fred then pointed to the top of his head, introducing Nero.

Fred: "And on top of my head is Nero. She's fierce, but she's a good bird."

Asta then bowed to Yami, saying enthusiastically.

Asta: "I'm really glad to be here, sir."

Yami: "There are other members, of course, but the rest are out on missions, or on leave, or I don't know. Think you can play nice, newbie?"

Asta: *Yelling* "Yes, sir! We're gonna get along so well! Like I said before, it's really nice to meet you guys!!!"

Vanessa: "God, is he trying to kill me?"

Magna: "Right?"

Yami: "That's somethin' I noticed before. You're as loud as you are short, aren't ya?"

Asta: "Yeah!"

Yami: "Shut up, kid."

Asta: "Right, sorry."

Yami: "Well, gang, let's go. Give him a good workout, but try not to kill him."

Asta: "Wait, wha…" *Whimper*

Magna: *Grunt* "Did ya hear him?"

Asta nodded.

Asta: "Uh-huh."

Magna: "Yami wants us to make sure you get a good workout. That's just what I'm gonna do."

Asta: *Whimper*

Magna looked down on Asta menacingly, as he began to belittle him.

Magna: "A pathetic runt like you, and from where, Hage? A village almost no one has ever heard of before. Not much mana either. And you're the newest member of the Black Bulls? You gotta be kiddin' me!"

Asta looked shocked and gasped while whimpering.

Magna: "I don't know what some magic-poor hick like you could have possibly done to impress Yami."

Magna pulled on his Black Bulls' robe, showing it off to Asta.

Magna: "Do you wanna wear the robe that'll prove you're a true member of the Black Bulls?"

Asta: *Gasp* "That's a real Magic Knight squad robe. It's… it's so, so cool!"

Magna: "Damn right it is. So, you want it?"

Asta: *Yelling* "Yeah, I do! Gimme, gimme!"

Asta said with a hand coming out of his mouth.

Magna: "Wow, you're really excited. You want it that bad? Okay."

Magna swung his arm up to his side, continuing to talk to Asta.

Magna: "But first, you need to earn the approval of Yami's chief subordinate, me. Man among men, Magna Swing. This marks your entry to the Black Bulls. A true baptism by fire."

Asta: "Say what?"

Asta: 'Baptism?'

Outside the base, Asta and Magna are standing apart from eachother, with all of the other Black Bulls watching them.

Magna: "All right, village boy! Let's see how bad you want this robe."

Magna said while whipping out a Black Bulls robe.

Magna: "You've gotta earn it by completing every task I give you."

Asta: "I'm ready. Let's do this!"

Vanessa: *Yawn* "Oh, goodie. Yet another one of these ridiculous baptisms."

Luck: "Aww! I want a baptism too!"

Gordon: *Whispering* "You can do it. You can do it."

Magna: "Here we go, go, go! First, I wanna see your physical prowess."

Then Asta did 5000 crunches, 5000 push-ups, 5000 squats holding a boulder, hitting a boulder 5000 times with his head, etc. all while screaming and being loud.

While watching the Black Bulls began to talk.

Gordon: *Mumble* "You can do it."

Gauche: "My precious angel."

Vanessa: "Not that it's actually gonna do him any good, but the kid's all right."

Luck: "Yeah, his stamina and physical strength are seriously off the charts. Too bad magic's all that matters."

Asta after completing all the physical exercise Magna put him through was panting.

Asta: *Pants* "How'd I do?"

Magna: *Scoff* "Not bad, runt. Seems you're stronger than you look."

Asta: *Yelling* "Okay, so I passed your test, right? Then gimme that robe already!"

Magna: "Not so fast! You think it's that simple? We're not done yet, village boy."

Asta: "Huh?"

Magna: "There's one more test, the last and most important of your baptism."

Asta: 'Here we go.'

Magna: "Using any skills at your disposal, whether they're magical or ordinary…"

Magna's grimoire then began to flip, before stopping on a page and creating a ball of fire in Magna's hand.

Magna: "you must dodge or defend yourself against my attack magic. If you can manage that, then you will pass. You may consider yourself a true Black Bull, and I will give you your robe."

Asta: 'Okay.' 

Asta: *Grunt* "Right. I understand! I'll do my best!"

Magna: "Shut up!"

Finral sighed and prepared his grimoire.

Magna, then had Asta start to prepare.

Magna: "Okay, grab your grimoire and get ready!"

Asta: "Yes, sir!" *Grunt*

Asta pulled out the massive claymore out of his grimoire, getting ready.

Luck: "Whoa! What's he got there?"

Vanessa: "So big!"

As Magna grabbed out a bat made out of fire from his grimoire, pointing it at Asta, he asked him.

Magna: "You ready?

Asta: *Exhale* "Ready!"

Magna: "Here we go!"

Asta: "Bring it on."

Magna threw up the fire ball, and hit it with the bat, sending out a fireball, while keeping the initial fireball in the same place.

Magna: "Take this!" *Screaming*

Magna hit the fireball repeatedly, sending a barrage of fire balls at Asta, which he dodged. Asta continued to dodge, until the fire balls stopped coming his way.

Magna: "Ha! You're pretty decent."

Asta: "Yes, sir!"

Asta: 'I'm gonna pass.'

Magna: "All right. The real battle begins now!"

Magna said as he made the bat disappear, before having his grimoire begin to rapidly flip pages. The grimoire stopped flipping pages, stopping on a page as a fireball gathered close to Magna's hand.

The fireball made the surrounding area heat up, and began to grow until it reached a large size.

Vanessa: "So hot."

The fireball shrunk to a medium size, as it was held by Magna, condensing the fireball and making it much hotter. Magna started to say the spell, while winding up the throw.

Magna: "Flame Magic… Exploding… Fireball! Now, die!"

Magna threw out the fireball at immense speed, speeding towards Asta.

Asta: 'Are you serious?! Oh, man. I'm dead.'

The fireball came in front of Asta, who knew he wouldn't be able to intercept it. 

Asta: 'It's so fast. I can't block it.'

Asta's body moved instinctively and hit the fireball with the side of his claymore, like a bat, sending the fireball back at Magna.

Asta: *Grunt and Screaming*

The fireball hit Magna, creating a big explosion.

Luck: *Chuckle* "Whoa! He did it! He did it!"

Charmy: *Cheering and Giggling*

Vanessa: "Wow, did not see that coming."

Finral: "Why are we not having to rescue the newbies recently?"

Yami: 'He couldn't slice it with the blade's edge, so he hit it with the flat. Seems that sword can both cut through magic, and reflect it. Interesting.'

Asta was shocked and looked at the claymore.

Asta: 'I had no idea! I knew I could slice through magic, but it turns out I can hit it too? This sword is awesome! But jeez, that was close! I almost died! What the hell was he thinking anyway? Does he wanna kill the new guy? Wait. I didn't kill him, did it?"

Asta looked at the explosion and saw Magna begin to walk out, slightly burnt and with some of his clothes on fire..

Asta: *Gasp*

Magna: "What the hell did you just do, you crazy little runt?"

Asta: *Screaming* 'He took a direct hit, and he's still standing?'

Magna: "I was able to dispel it in time, so I'm all right, but that doesn't change the fact that I was nearly offed by my own magic."

Asta: *Whimpering*

Magna: "Why, you little…" 

Magna began to run towards Asta while growling and screaming. When Magna reached Asta, he held his shoulders, scaring Asta.

Asta: 'Scary, scary, scary, scary, scary, scary, scary, scary, scary!"

Magna: *Chuckle* "You're really good. Wow!" 

Magna then began to pat Asta's back hard, laughing, with Asta grunting from the force.

Magna: *Laugh* "Here I thought you were just gonna block my magic and you fired it back at me? You know, I think I kinda like you, little Rasta." *Laugh*

Asta: "It's, um, Asta."

Magna: "Hey, sorry about callin' you a magic-poor hick earlier. H— hell, to be honest, I'm from the sticks myself. Rayaka Village, just up from Hage."

Asta: "No way! Really? Rayaka is way out in the middle of nowhere."

Magna: "Yeah, sure. Says the kid from Hage!" *Laugh*

Asta: *Chuckle* "Oh, and, uh, just so you know, it's not that I have low magic power. I actually have none at all."

Magna: "What was that? You've got no magic power? And you were still able to turn my magic against me?"

Asta: "Uh. Yeah. I guess so."

Magna: "Well, that's even more amazing then. You're not just some runt, you're a real man."

Asta: *Grunt*

All of the Black Bulls began to surround Asta.

Black Bulls: *Exclaiming and Chattering*

Luck: "Wow, that was amazing!"

Luck: *Laugh*

Luck: "Okay, it's time for baptism part two."

Luck then began to playfully punch in front of Asta.

Luck: *Laugh* "You have to take me on now!"

Vanessa started flirting again with Asta.

Asta: *Whimper*

Vanessa: "Ooh. You were very impressive out there. Nice, kiddo."

Asta: "Uh. Thank you."

Charmy handed Asta a cupcake.

Charmy: "I brought you something. Don't be shy. It's really yummy. Well?"

Asta: "Sure, okay."

Charmy: "Here, you can have half."

Charmy handed Asta, half of the cupcake, before dividing it again.

Charmy: *Chuckle* "Well, maybe half of a half." *Chuckle*

Asta: "Cool, thanks!" *Munch*

Finral: "Okay, okay. Don't we still have some business to take care of?"

Magna then gave Asta the Black Bulls' robe.

Magna: "Here you go!"

Asta: *Gasp*

Magna: "You earned this fair and square, Asta."

As Asta didn't take it for a while, Magna teased him.

Magna "What, you don't want it?"

Asta frantically waved his hands in front of him.

Asta: "No! I do! I do! I do!"

Asta held the robe in the air, looking at it.

Asta: 'This is really mine.'

Vanessa: "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's see how it looks."

Vanessa then used her Thread Magic to put the robe on Asta.

Vanessa: "And now, the finishing touch."

Vanessa then put the Black Bulls' logo on his headband.

As they all looked at Asta, Magna said.

Magna: "Hey! It looks pretty good on you. Right, Yami?"

Yami: "I don't think it's his colour."

Magna: "It's official now. You're one of us. You're a member of the Black Bulls. Don't do anything that would bring shame to Yami, or to the Black Bulls."

Asta: *Whimper and Yells* "Understood! I'm so glade to be a part of this team!"

Asta then cheered.

Asta: "Yeah!" *Laugh*

Yami gave Asta a death stare, threatening him.

Yami: "Shut up, kid."

Asta: "I'm sorry! I'll be more careful from now on, sir!"

Magna: "What part of 'shut up' do you not understand?"
