Bound by Royalty

Moments later, Jace arrived at the entrance of the palace heading toward the carriage where the queen was waiting. Elara was already inside resting due to the throbbing pain In her head. Elara thought the pain had sufficed at the time, it seems like she was wrong as the pain still continued.

"Oh Jace, you're here. Elara's inside and she's not feeling quite well, her head is throbbing. So I need you to ensure that she'll get home safely. Hope you can do that for me" Rose said looking in the direction of Elara I the carriage.

"I will do my utmost to ensure she gets home safely, your highness" Jace said as he bowed to the queen.

"I'll leave you to it then" the queen says departing from the carriage leaving Jace as she enters the entrance of the palace.

"Jace we can go" the Coachmen said to Jace as he was doing some inspections in the carriage.

Jace headed to the front of the carriage seated beside the coachmen as they departed.

Rose was waving goodbye to the carriage and a strange figure lurked behind her. She was shocked to see a lady, taller than her before realizing who it was.

"Oh it's you…" Rose said with her face having no expression as she had no time to entertain the person in front of her.

"You highness, I just came to greet you"the lady said as she gave her respect to the queen.

"Well if you're here, it means Elvis is here too, excuse me, cause I plan to ignore the both of you, maybe I should just tell my husband to lock him out of the palace as I hate your company and his around the king, isn't that right Solene?" Rose asked Solene who was still in front of her.

"But your highness, they are brothers, they are supposed to meet up and catch up…"

"And by meet and catch up, you mean you come unannounced every time by the palace, I should really start telling the guard not to let you in, your presence alone disgust me" Rose said out in anger as she proceeded to walk past Solene heading Inside the palace.

"I said I was sorry" Solene whispered to herself as Rose had already headed inside and shut the door.

Solene is known to be Elvis second in command, she was one of Rose's first friends, they both shared a bond that seemed inseparable. But indeed some bonds are bound to break. She is the daughter of the late baron Nolan Geoffrey. She had an attachment to Elvis to the point she fled home to live with him, her own mother disowned her due to her actions as she didn't support whatever she was doing, during the times she stayed with Elvis she was the most talked about in the Kingdom as she hasn't gotten married to Elvis who she ran off too and was only considered a mistress. Elvis had told people she was just a royal advisor/second in command to his estate but that didn't suffice the damage that she had put herself into.

Elara was still in the carriage as her head Kept feeling pain like she was about to fall, she had wished she would just be home immediately but her home was another 15 minutes away.

She proceeds to lay a palm on her forehead as if it would take the pain away immediately.

When the carriage had stopped, she felt the motion of the carriage stopping so she looked out the window to see her uncle's house. Elara was about to open the carriage door but Jace beat her to it.

When Jace opened the door, he noticed Elara's hand was already stretched out as if she was about to open the door.

"Miss Elara, are you alright?" Jace asked with a concerned look on his face as he examined her.

"Do you need help walking to the door?You look pale, Miss Elara." Elara was somewhat confused at his caring behavior but didn't want to think about it.

"I'm fine, just a headache, I need some rest, I think" Elara says, making her way out of the carriage almost stumbling but she was caught by Jace just in a nick of time.

Elara has only taken one foot out of the carriage but had already lost her balance as she hadn't even placed her second foot which caused her to stumble and Jace catching her on time.

Jace was quick with his action as he caught her by the waist, the other hand still holding on to the carriage door.

"Miss Elara, please let me help you to the door" Jace said once more but Elara once again rejected.

"I am okay, I just missed a step and you were just there to catch me, now please release me, let me make it to the door myself" Elara says as got out if Jace's grip ignoring the head aches

Jace didn't do or say anything else as he just respected her wishes.

Elara began making her way to the door but with every step her eyes grew weaker, she tried to push through but the more she walked to the door, the slower she got. She was about to reach the door before everything went black.

"ELARA…." was all that was heard before everything went black.

Jace had rushed to Elara after seeing her faint from a distance. When Jace had yelled her name, he had caught the attention of her family inside the house.

Aunt Phoebe was the first to come outside when she heard some yelling outside.

"Oh my gosh .... Elara, is she okay?" Phoebe walked up to Elara where Jace had reached as she covered her mouth.

Anthony and Amelia came out of the house after hearing their mom rush outside screaming.

"Mom ? is she ok" Amelia said from the distance as she tugged her brother's shirt hiding behind him.

"I don't know honey"Phoebe replied to her daughter before facing Elara who was still held by the guard as he checked her pulses and anything else necessary.

"Ma'am, where is her room?" Jace said as he picked Elara up in bridal style as her head was laying on his chest and her right arm hanging outside of the bridal position.

"Amelia! Show them to your room, quickly!" Phoebe screamed as she carried Elara's bag from behind as Jace followed Amelia heading to their room.
