Chapter 5: CHAPTER 5
"Simple. I'll handle Avery Wells myself, and from now on, we have nothing to do with each other." Harrison Wells breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. Avery had caused a lot of harm, and being taken away by Ethan Blackwood would surely lead to a fate worse than death. By helping to prevent trouble for the Wells family, she had done a good deed for her parents. "Alright, I agree," Harrison Wells said.
Ethan Blackwood played with the tail of the venomous snake and then looked at Victoria Wells. "Madam Wells, what do you think?" She was so scared that she trembled and dared not refuse. "Whatever Mr. Blackwood wants, I'll pretend I never had that girl."
Ethan Blackwood smiled and put the snake back in its cage. He then got up and raised his eyebrows meaningfully. "You should be grateful for having given birth to an Avery Wells. Remember what you said today." Both of them were so scared that they couldn't even tell which way was up, and they didn't really listen to what he said. They just nodded in agreement.
Afterwards, Ethan Blackwood left. Harrison Wells and Victoria Wells both collapsed on the ground. Victoria Wells' remaining bit of sanity made her heart race with panic. "It's over, it's over. Avery will surely suffer greatly, and how will we explain this to her grandparents?"
"What's there to explain? Are we supposed to die with the Wells family?" Victoria Wells felt guilty. "But it was us who sent her to Mr. Blackwood. We..." "Shut up. Don't mention this again in the future. Avery has nothing to do with us anymore. If you dare to go against Ethan Blackwood, unless you want our children to be ruined."
Victoria Wells turned pale with fright. Losing a daughter was worth it to save the Wells family.
....
After Ethan Blackwood went downstairs, he got into the car. When he saw Avery was already unconscious, her forehead was flawless, and her face was covered in scabs from the dried blood. The wound, about two centimeters long, was shocking to see.
He should have been in a panic, but she looked too delicate and helpless, making him inexplicably fond of her. Her skin was very pale, abnormally so, and she looked very weak.
Chad saw this scene and cleared his throat before saying, "I've already called the doctor to wait at the villa, and she can be treated when we get back."
Ethan Blackwood's gaze was unfocused as he asked, "The eldest son of the Wells family, Lucas Wells, right?" "Yes."
Ethan Blackwood took off his suit and covered her with it, his low voice sounding very unfeeling, "He caused this, so breaking one of his legs wouldn't be too much, would it?" Chad's heart trembled, "Not too much, not too much."
He thought the matter was over, but unexpectedly, Ethan Blackwood stared at him for a few seconds, his expression making him feel a chill down his spine.
"Third Young Master, is there anything else?" "You've been with me for a few years now?" "Seven years."
"Do you know what my hobbies are?" "I do." Mr. Blackwood liked to raise all kinds of snakes... Ethan Blackwood's voice was very deep and unfathomable, and his long eyebrows lifted slightly, "Go catch some wild ones, the ones at home don't have much fighting spirit."
Chad immediately looked mournful and said, "Mr. Blackwood, I feel that..." "Ten lashes," interrupted Mr. Blackwood. Then, he bent down and lifted Avery horizontally, striding forward. Chad replied, "Yes!" Ten lashes, he must be planning to kill him.
How did he know that Avery's parents were so heartless! They had hurt her so badly. He sent Avery home and followed Mr. Blackwood's orders to guard downstairs. However, he was surprised to find that there was still violence happening inside the house. Fortunately, Mr. Blackwood arrived in time to prevent Avery from being beaten. However, the punishment was severe!
Just because of her face?
....
When Avery woke up, it was already late at night. The room was comfortably cool with the air conditioning on. She looked around and saw that the room was dark with no lights on. The moonlight outside faintly illuminated the luxurious decoration, the unfamiliar environment, and the unfamiliar bed...
Avery felt very insecure and immediately thought of what had happened before she passed out. She was taken away by Mr. Blackwood.
"You're awake." Suddenly, Ethan Blackwood's voice sounded.
