Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

Chapter 1254: Invasion!

-----

It seems we had ended setting up our spawn point to be the underground smithy connected to the gates that led to the Cloudia Fragment, one of Hephaestus Inheritances. So we all ended logging back in here. Rita and Lily were probably on their way to logging back into BNLO as well, as they had already gone back home after lunch.

However, Rita got a whole family, so I am not completely counting on her appearing instantly, I always wonder how she can manage to take care of her family while still having enough time to even come to BNLO. I would have assumed her husband wouldn't like it either, but I have yet to hear a single complain about her husband from her.

Maybe she's quite dominant in the relationship, and I've seen firsthand that Rita is that type of overbearing mother that can probably exhaust her entire family…

Wait, I guess they're happy she's "playing" a virtual game so she's not always there bothering them…

Wow, is that it?

Anyways, aside from that, the Druids had arrived and also ate lunch later, they said they didn't really mind eating in separate times, but I told them they had to come eat with us every now and then, at the very least.

With the Druids, Kaguya, Katherine, the new Plant Monster Army, and the SWORD Agents outside, I think we're safe for the moment…

"Alright! We're back here," said Mark. "So what do we do today? After everything that happened IRL I'm kind of lost…"

"Hahah, same," I giggled.

"Hm, well, we should probably go met the Queen and the King, right mom?" asked my daughter.

"We should also check on the prince I think," Anna said.

"Aside from that, perhaps growing stronger and preparing for what's to come," said Elisa. "After all! What those evil sorcerers did yesterday is simply unforgivable, we must prepare for an all-out attack on them before they attack us first! Right?"

"I-I guess so…" said Monica. "Didn't the Druids of this world said they would help too? And Lady Verdant… I remember hearing something about that. Perhaps we could ask them about that."

"Right…" I nodded. "Okay, I think I know what we could do for now, yeah, let's go see the King and the Queen, I think they said something about devising some sort of plan themselves. Aside from that, there's a few things I need to take care of regarding Melisa and the other participants of yesterday's competition."

"Oh yeah, you promised them work, right?" wondered Mark. "Yeah, you should bring them over then. Where are they staying at?"

"I think they're in the castle for now, they're royal guests after all," I said. "Aside from that, the Druids… Yeah, we gotta go talk with them again. Seeing how we're approaching the climax of this whole deal with the magicians… I think we've all grown strong enough to have a chance, right?"

"Yeah," my daughter nodded. "You're all max level by now too, right?"

"Indeed, at least I am," I said.

"What about Brisingra and the people of the Time Realm?" wondered Mark. "I wonder if we could ask for their help?"

"I… don't know, I'll have to see what could be done," I said. "But I don't really want to put their lives at risk, and I don't know if they can properly step out of their Realm as of now."

"Hmm, well, we can see what can be done then," Mark nodded. "Also, remember Tomas? We could ask for his help too! He was one of those that were victims of the magicians. Perhaps how many other young magicians were convinced or forced to become half-demons to join their cult."

"Tomas! Right, he might have more info we could earn about their hideouts and what exactly is Merlinus doing," I said. "If I've saved him, then he could at the very least help back, right?"

"Certainly, he has to," nodded my daughter. "But I think that's about it…"

"Okay then, let's go upstairs and see what can be done," I said. "About Brisingra… I want to leave that girl alone on her own. She deserves to be happy with her mother. Her abilities might have been really useful, I think I'll miss her very useful barriers, but it can't be helped. I don't want to force her into going into a battle that might cost her life, at such a young age too."

"Yeah… it wouldn't be nice," Anna sighed. "Then let's go! I'm getting bored in here, and it's all hot…"

"Usually this place's cramped with workers, but I suppose they moved back to the Forest of Beginnings right now?" I wondered.

Yeah, usually there were a lot of people from the Forest of Beginnings working in here. But they do take breaks and can also use the portals I create at any time, so it makes sense they returned if they felt tired.

"Hmm, they left in quite a hurry."

Suddenly, a blazing genie materialized from the huge smithy's flames, the son of Hephaestus and my contracted Divine Spirit Familiar.

Ignis, the Third Divine Forging Flame Spirit.

There's three more, making them four children that Hephaestus had, each one within a smithy or forge he left behind somewhere, as a part of his grand inheritance.

I think they're mostly concealed within the area though, they cannot step out on their own, but I'm fairly sure they can temporarily summoned by the inheritor of Hephaestus Legacy.

"Ignis! It feels like ages since I last saw you. Did you see something?"

"Ages? Your perception of time is slightly warped, Master," he laughed, crossing his blazing arms. "But yes, I saw them running to the Forest of Beginnings through the portal in the Druid's Guild. That one. They said something about the forest needing protection and warriors. And that whenever you appeared, that you should urgently go back."

"Wait, what?"

And then, just as Ignis said that…

Ding!

[Warning! Your territory, the {Forest of Beginnings} is under an Undead Raid led by the forces of the Demon King of Death!]

"Ah…" I muttered. "Wait a second! Again?! Didn't this already happen once a while ago?!"

"An invasion!" said Mark. "We have to hurry! Is this why Acorn and Nieve aren't around either? They probably already went back too!"

"We have to hurry!"
