Chapter 84: Nalan Yanran's Sudden Change Of Thought
Yun Xui was silent and didn't say anything, but in his heart, he thought, "Ah... women!"
Seeing that Yun Xui didn't respond and had no intention of pursuing the matter, Yun Yun asked, "Since you know me, I don't know you yet. What should I call you?"
"Yun Xui," he replied calmly.
He had no interest in women, at least 80% of the time.
The system interjected, "You're lying. No one knows you better than I do."
Yun Xui scowled. "Author, I want a new system."
The author retorted, "You want a change? Beg me."
(TL/N: No... don't the system. Change the protagonist!)
Yun Xui's face darkened further. "Where's 4th Wall God? Remove this author and translator then replace them."

"What a coincidence, my surname is also Yun," Yun Yun said with a smile.
"Unfortunately," Yun Xui replied.
At this moment, Xiao Xun'er sensed a strong sense of crisis. She shielded Yun Xui protectively, like a tigress guarding her cub, spreading her arms and saying warily, "It's not a coincidence at all."
"Fourth stage of Dou Zhi, what a capable little one," Yun Yun remarked with a smile, clearly unbothered by Xiao Xun'er's words or actions.
She reached out to pat Xiao Xun'er's head, but Xiao Xun'er quickly dodged. "Don't touch me," she said firmly.
"Interesting," Yun Yun said.
Turning to Xiao Zhan, she added, "Xiao Zhan, this young lady is quite a promising candidate among the younger generation of your Xiao family."
Xiao Zhan, hearing Yun Yun's words, felt a wave of apprehension and bowed slightly. "Master Yun Yun, thank you very much."
"I'd like to take her as my apprentice. What do you think, Patriarch Xiao?" Yun Yun proposed, finding Xiao Xun'er intriguing and impressed by her talent.
"This..."
Cold sweat broke out on Xiao Zhan's forehead as he heard Yun Yun's suggestion. He knew Xiao Xun'er's true identity. Yun Yun wanted to take her as a disciple? How could he respond? To him, Yun Yun wasn't qualified at all.
However, he couldn't say anything directly nor decide for Xiao Xun'er. He lacked the authority, especially with certain family members present.
"You're not worthy," Xiao Xun'er said crisply.
"Little one, do you know who I am?" Yun Yun asked, still unoffended, crouching slightly to look at Xiao Xun'er with interest.
"You're truly not worthy," Yun Xui interjected, pulling Xiao Xun'er behind him.
Yun Yun stared into Yun Xui's eyes without speaking. The atmosphere grew tense.
An invisible pressure weighed on everyone's hearts, enveloping the scene in silence.
Xiao Zhan grew more nervous. Both Yun Xui and Yun Yun hailed from backgrounds far beyond what his small Xiao family could handle. If the two clashed, no matter the winner, the Xiao family would face dire consequences.
As Xiao Xun'er stood behind Yun Xui, she felt a sense of warmth.
"As expected, Brother Yun Xui dotes on me the most. I must work harder to grow stronger," she thought. Clenching her small fists under her sleeves, she silently vowed to improve herself. Her father had once said that when she grew up, she could marry Brother Yun Xui.
"Ha..." Yun Yun chuckled lightly, her laugh clear and melodious like a silver bell. "Indeed, with a teacher like you, there's no need for this little one to be my disciple."
Yun Xui said nothing, tacitly agreeing with Yun Yun's words.
"Sect Master Yun Yun is certainly powerful, but Xun'er has her own path and is not suited to be your disciple," Yun Xui said calmly.
"Xun'er?" Yun Yun repeated, glancing at Xiao Xun'er behind Yun Xui. "Not a bad name."
"Thank you," Yun Xui said courteously.
"Yun Xui, right?" Yun Yun asked, looking him in the eye.
His deep, mesmerizing eyes caught her attention.
Yun Xui nodded. "Yes."
Yun Yun smiled. "I'll remember you."
"Please do," Yun Xui replied.
"Are you instructing me?" Yun Yun raised an eyebrow.
"Just a friendly reminder," Yun Xui said coolly.
"Alright, I'll keep that in mind," Yun Yun replied, though inwardly she thought, "I won't just remember in my mind—I'll remember in my heart. Let's see how you handle that, hmm? Men!"
Relieved that the two didn't fight, everyone present sighed inwardly. A confrontation between them could have spelled disaster.
Xiao Zhan, trying to ease the tension, spoke up. "Sect Master Yun Yun, Brother Nalan, let's head inside to discuss matters further."
"Alright," Yun Yun agreed.
Xiao Zhan smiled, gesturing to his family members. "Disperse! Get back to your tasks!"
The crowd began to clear, though one figure lingered—Xiao Yu, who stared at Yun Xui.
Yun Xui noticed her gaze and looked back.
Snorting coldly, Xiao Yu turned and left without a word.
"Did I offend her somehow?" Yun Xui wondered, puzzled.
(TL/N: More than that.)
"Let's go, Xun'er," Yun Xui said, ready to leave.
"Okay!" Xiao Xun'er nodded obediently, holding Yun Xui's hand as they departed.
Watching them leave, Xiao Yan felt a pang of bitterness and glanced at Nalan Yanran beside him.
"It seems my charm isn't entirely useless," he thought.
Meanwhile, Nalan Yanran's gaze followed Yun Xui and Xiao Xun'er as they left hand in hand. For reasons she couldn't explain, she felt a tinge of unhappiness.
"Sect Master Yun Yun, shall we?" Xiao Zhan invited politely.
"Let's go," Yun Yun replied.
As everyone turned to head into the hall, Nalan Yanran suddenly stepped forward and declared, "Cancel the engagement. I want to cancel the engagement."
