Cat Cultivation

Chapter 2: Fated Meeting

In a certain forest.

Our hero is smitten.

"Miss Xi, why were they after you anyways?" Biscuit asked.

"You can just call me Xi" she replied.

"O-okay xi" Biscuit stuttered with a little blush.

"They were after my gem, it's a family heirloom."

Biscuit looked closer and saw that the gem was, well, exceptionally pretty.

"Anyways, thanks for your help. I should get going now."

Xi turned around and was about to leave.

Biscuit, thinking that he might never see her again calls out to her.

"wait!!! How about…I escort you home? You know, so ruffians like those wont target you again?"

Xi turned around and looked at Biscuit. He looked well groomed and seemed like a nice guy. However it was clear that he had no cultivation whatsoever. He was a mortal. However now that she was on the run, maybe she could recover in his dwelling…

Xi turned back around and started explaining her circumstances.

"My sect…is currently embroiled in a war with other sects. I am just a runaway and I'm looking for a safe place to stay-"

Biscuit put up a paw to her lips.

"Say no more fair maiden, I know a good place. Follow me."

Biscuit started trotting in a direction and seeing that he wasn't being followed, he turned around and said to her who was in a daze.

"Come on! Follow me."

Xi hesitated for a bit before catching up to Biscuit.

After moving for a while, they came upon a house in the suburbs. Yes, Biscuit had brought her to his house.

He jumped onto a fence and then the roof before going inside the house through a window. His head peeked out and looked at Xi who was sitting on the ground.

"Come on up! Its very safe here."

Xi looked into Biscuits eyes and saw his seriousness and innocent look.

Xi nodded at him and lightly jumped up onto the window in one jump.

Biscuit saw this and couldn't help but exclaim.

"you are very good at jumping woah."

Xi looked at him and said, "that's because of my cultivation."

Biscuit nodded in understanding and thought to himself that she was definitely a fellow role-player.

Biscuit jumped into the room, turned around and waved his paw at the room.

"Welcome to my closed cultivation cave. Make yourself comfortable."

Xi looked around and saw a cat tree, cat bed, a bookshelf, and other things.

Having never left her sect before, Xi was curious about all the things in the room like the modern appliances, the automatic scratcher, the endless running water machine, and other gadgets.

Settling herself down on the carpet floor, Xi was listening as Biscuit explained what everything was.

They talked and the conversation naturally drifted to cultivation.

Xi had realized that Biscuit had no cultivation at all. Her father was right, the cats in this realm didn't cultivate at all and lived a carefree life.

While Biscuit was rambling on about something called anime, Xi interrupted him.

"Cultivation is real."

Biscuit looked at her in surprise.

"What?"

Xi hesitated for a bit before walking up to him and pressing her forehead against his before he could react.

Biscuit was flustered with excitement at what was happening. Is she coming onto me?! God she smells good! What will our babies look like?! Who am I?

All of a sudden he felt like some information entered his mind, giving him a headache. He rolled around on the floor while screeching.

"AHHHH IT HURTS!"

Xi watched this while laughing.

"hehe. I just imparted you a basic cultivation technique. This is my thanks for helping me."

Upon hearing her words, Biscuit was stunned. Cultivation…is real?!

He quickly checked out this new memory imprinted in his mind and somehow he was able to understand how to cultivate.

"This…THIS IS AMAZING!!"

Biscuit couldn't help but imagine his future, flying through the skies, casting immortal spells, exploring the unknown, fighting against gods or demons-

Seeing the excitement in Biscuits eyes, Xi remembered a time when she was also like this when she first started cultivating.

All of a sudden Biscuit dashed right in front of her and with sparkles in his eyes he started shooting questions left and right while breathing heavily.

"Xi where are you from? Are there a lot of cultivators? Can you cast spells? Can you fly? Can-"

With each question Biscuit got closer and closer to Xi.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed, Xi hurriedly meowed while pushing Biscuit away.

"okay okay I'll answer your questions so calm down!"

Biscuit nodded his head and entered loaf mode (a pose cats do when they tuck in their legs and arms) while his tail swung back and forth nonstop.

Seeing that Biscuit was paying attention, Xi coughed and then started explaining.

"I am from a place called Mao World. Its a world full of sects, countries, kingdoms, and other things. I was on an adventure and obtained a treasure."

Xi points at the gem on her head.

"This gem is a power that I haven't quite figured out how to use yet. However many people are after me because of it. I escaped using a teleporter and it brought me here, to your dimension."

Biscuit listened to all this in surprise. A different world! Adventure! Danger!

Biscuit raised a paw.

Xi, feeling like a teacher nodded her head and said, "Yes student Biscuit?"

"whats your cultivation?"

Biscuit asked with big eyes.

"I am at 1st tier 7th stage. Cultivation is divided into 9 tiers and 9 stages for each tier. With each increase in a stage, you grow an extra tail. When you enter the next tier, your nine tails combine into one tail again with slight differences."

Xi paused when she saw Biscuit looking at her number of tails because she only had 1.

"I am currently using a disguise spell to hide my tails, so others can't see my cultivation."

Upon seeing Biscuit looking at her with eager eyes, she chuckled.

"Do you want to see my tails?"

Biscuits nostrils flared while he nodded his head up and down.

"Spell cancel: disguise art."

Suddenly Xi's 7 tails became visible. Seeing this, Biscuit couldn't help but dash around her to see it from all angles. He eventually couldn't help himself and tried to touch them.

PA!

Biscuit was swatted and sent rolling away.

Xi looked at him with a slight blush. Biscuit was looking confused with question marks over his head.

"Don't touch me there, pervert."

Biscuit suddenly recalled himself and apologized while laughing awkwardly.

"Oops, sorry I got carried away hahaha."

Xi coughed and continued talking.

"Anyways, I used this teleportation device to escape the people after me."

She took out a dull green colored crystal.

"It has to recharge, so I'll be staying in your dimension for a while. Would you mind if I stayed here with you?"

Biscuit hurriedly shook his head.

"No problem at all Xi! Stay for as long as you like, please make yourself at home."
