(General P.O.V)

"Where are we?"

Crystal was the first to enquire, turning around slowly to look at their surroundings.

"Not in our time, certainly not on Earth,"

Reed responded, a hint of curiosity lighting up his eyes as he surveyed their unfamiliar surroundings.

"It seems like Ultron sent us into the future. Judging by the advanced technology, my estimate would be New York in 2055," he conjectured.

And sure enough, the five of them including Lockjaw, were on a rooftop overlooking a futuristic version of New York.

The Freedom Tower was no longer the tallest building jutting out into the skyline. That honor went to...

"Parker Industries..."

Cap muttered under his breath, sharing a knowing look with Reed.

Mr. Fantastic shrugged.

"I can't say I'm surprised, he's always been a genius."

"How are we going to get back?"

Crystal asked in concern, scratching Lockjaw behind the ears.

"The others are counting on us and Lockjaw can only travel trough space, Time is a different matter."

"She's right."

Cap agreed.

"Reed tell me you have a plan."

Mr. Fantastic scratched his chin in thought.

"I can think of a few ways. Maybe wormholes? but they're spatial shortcuts, not temporal. What we need is a manipulation of time itself. The key lies in gravity. A gravity well, no, a crucible where we can manipulate time through gravitational force."

The other four watched on as Mr. Fantastic launched into a monologue.

"...then I can calibrate my wrist device to read our time imprints, potentially creating a time-bridge. It's about resetting, not just coordinates in space but in time. That said...the resources...the lab required..." Reed's voice trailed off.

With uncertainty about the existence of the Baxter Building in this future, and the lack of materials and a lab, the prospect of creating a way back seemed nothing more than a far-fetched fantasy.

The roar of thrusters as something descended upon the rooftop they were on, had them immediately on guard.

Someone had found them.

"Is that?"

Cap enquired, holding up his shield in preparation.

"Doom."

Mr. Fantastic answered, all eyes focused on the suit of exoskeleton armor, complete with a green cloak and an aura of intimidation.

The only person to wear such an advanced piece of magic-tech was Viktor. The thing practically oozed menace and mystic energy.

"Be ready."

Cap told Crystal.

Fortunately the latter understood and nodded. Incase things got dire, she was ready to order Lockjaw to create a portal for them to escape.

Doom landed before the five heroes, tilting his head in a strange motion.

Reed stepped forward. He hoped Doom wasn't here to pick a fight.

"Viktor..."

Then the Armor's face plate retracted, revealing a beautiful face that resembled Susan Storm, only younger.

"Hey Daddy."

Valeria richards waved at her father.

"I've been expecting you."

(Billy's P.O.V)

The murky water boiled around me as I covered myself in red hot flames.

In seconds I was left lying on the river bed, surrounded by gray steam that I fashioned into thousands of ice spears that launched into the sky, assailing the incoming Cyborg.

"Abandon all hope, Shazam. Your endeavors are futile,"

Ultron declared, effortlessly phasing through the barrage of attacks.

He descended onto my former position with a force that carved a crater into the riverbed.

I say 'former position' as I was now above him, having teleported before he touched down. My heel descended, foot ablaze with flames.

"Phase through this!"

A blast of pressure was released from the collision of my heel and his forearm.

"I don't need to."

Ultron responded, the Mind Stone on his forehead lighting up before a beam of energy was launched my way.

It impacted against my Psionic shield, the force throwing me a few feet through the air but still unharmed.

I didn't stop to think, only noting offhandedly that a weird reaction had occured when the energy from the Mindstone itself interacted my own Psionic energy.

I raised my hands to the sky and brought them down upon the Cyborg. Trailing behind the motion of my arms were two ice constructs, both shaped into large forearms steepled into a double fists.

The double fists slammed into Ultron, only for the Cyborg to plow through them easily, shattering my attacks into chunks of ice that rained down.

"I'm not done yet."

I created distance between us by teleporting away once more.

Gripping Neptune's trident, I forged a connection with the thunderstorm overhead.

Veins of emerald lightning cracked through the ominous sky, the streaks cascading and converging on the trident's prongs.

Instantly, the weapon was feeding on the chaotic natural energy.

Poseidon was known as the God of storms. Lightning was part of his domain, and I was going to prove myself right.

I swung down the Trident.

Dozens of green lightning bolts fell unto Wakanda, causing wanton destruction in a bid to strike the Cyborg.

Through my Psionic field, I sensed Ultron weave and duck through each attack, cape flapping behind him on his path toward me.

That's when I sprang my surprise attack.

Neptune's Trident sparked with tendrils of power, both with green lightning and a substantial amount of Hercule's Legacy, which was used to amp up the power of the lightning.

A wide beam of viridescent energy exploded forth from the Trident, throwing me slightly back.

I felt the blow connect, with Ultron getting drowned under a torrential amount of energy.

The power shredded the connection between his nanites, shattered the vibranium and washed the Infinity Stones with enough power to melt the metallic material around them.

The beam persisted in its flight, ultimately cleaving a section from an Obelisk, the remnants plummeting to the ground with a thunderous boom.

It was over.

Ultron was gone.

Fire erupted through my chest as a hand, covered in my blood, emerged through my ribs, holding my still beating heart.

The pain while not the worst I had endured was enough to lock down my movements.

I craned my neck over my shoulder, catching sight of an expressionless Ultron. But I could tell, I could just tell from his eyes that he was mocking me.

"...How?"

I bit out, blood spraying from my mouth.

How did he fool my Telepathic Radar, enhanced senses and Psionic Field?

"I have compiled your fighting style."

He started, only to shut up when he was ran through by tentacles coming off my back, topped with a sharp spike covered in hell flames.

"Your endeavors are inconsequential. Your struggle, meaningless. I discern your every move before it unfolds," he retorted with a smug tone, effortlessly phasing through the fiery spikes.

Impossible.

'No, not phasing, he was using the Space Stone to isolate my attacks into an out of synch reality.' Solomon's legacy came in clutch.

That meant, abilities that had worked before were now less than effective. He got me good. It wasn't a case of letting my guard down or underestimating him. The Cyborg was just that good.

Slowly, he withdrew his hand from my torso, my heart still clutched in his hands, pumping due to my strong vitality.

Then the main veins and arteries feeding into the heart chambers snapped and I was left without a heart.

My mouth opened up in a wordless scream.

He literally pulled out my heart.

My vision started blurring at the edges. I lost strength in my knees and knelt in the air, using Psionic energy to keep me afloat.

"It is over."

Ultron declared, a vibrating sword made from Cogni-energy coming to rest above my neck.

"You have lost."

My harsh breathing was cut off by a burst of laughter escaping my lips, prompting another mouthful of blood to spray out.

"You cannot harm me."

The Cyborg pointed out.

"What gives you the confidence to survive this?"

The effects of the perk I chose were fully displayed here. Due to the fact I could not get tired, my body was full of energy, inexhaustible energy that I used to keep blood flowing through my system even without a heart.

"I see."

The Cyborg became impatient at my lack of a response.

"Die human."

The blade, pulsating with Cogni-energy, rose before swiftly descending toward the back of my neck. His intention was clear – a plan to sever my head.

Only for the blade to stop barely a centimeter away from my nape. Ultron himself stiffened as if turned into a statue.

A breeze coming in from the mountains blew around the two of us. I stood up right, rubbing my chest as I regenerated my heart.

A sigh escaped me.

"That was too close for comfort..."

But it proved I was stronger. That I was harder to kill. And that my experience and strategy were solid enough I could face a Cyborg created from Proto-adamantium and vibranium, who was also in possession of two Infinity Stones.

"You can speak."

I told Ultron.

"What is this? Why can I not move? Why can I not attack you?"

He demanded.

I couldn't help but notice a hint of fear in his tone. By seeking out the destruction of humanity, Ultron had become the very thing he hated. An irrational and emotional being.

I turned around to face him, a smirk on my face.

It was my turn to gloat.

"You said you compiled my fighting style."

I begun, floating toward him.

"You said you knew what I was going to do before I did it."

Stopping mere inches away from the Cyborg, I tapped it's chest.

"You were so sure I couldn't harm you..."

His limbs were locked down, and his mental focus was too busy trying to find out how I was in control of his body.

And that would be telling, wouldn't it? I knew the risk of monologuing to an enemy, especially one of Ultron's caliber.

Hence, I pulled off the coup de grâce.

Ultron's body jerked as the Symbiote x techno-Virus I had infected his system with activated.

It had taken some time to awaken since infecting him with it.

"A v-vvirus..."

A wobbly and distorted voice came from the Cyborg's mouth.

His material composition begun to be assimilated by the offshoot of my Klyntar d.n.a, a fusion of technopathy and symbiote to create an undetectable virus that would assimilate anything into it's structure.

Metalloid or bio-mechanical matter, it would not discriminate. As long as there was tech involved, I could assimilate it.

The infection spread from his chest, right where his heart would have been. The virus ate through the metal in seconds, causing half of his body to be assimilated.

I never broke eye contact. Our gazes stayed locked on to each other.

"It's been 3 months since you destroyed the world."

I told him.

"Any last words? I allow you to speak."

"I..."

He begun, the left eye getting devoured by the virus.

"You cannot save them. Humanity is predisposed to destruction. I became an agent of change to rectify the mistake that is your existence. Mark my words, they shall disappoint you, Champion."

Soon after, the Cyborg's entire body was consumed, leaving behind an echo of his final words.

Another breeze blew around me and the blob of black goo floating to my front, awaiting my command.

I reached out to the offshoot of My Klyntar and pulled it into me.

Tendrils extended from the blob, flowing through my arms and into my body.

Suddenly, a wave of newfound power surged within me. Unbridled Cogni-energy erupted outward, emanating from my core.

The cause was the two Infinity Stones I had assimilated into my own body after re-absorbing the Klyntar Techno-Virus.

I could feel both the Mind Stone and the Space Stone running within my form, bolstering my Psionic energy to insane degrees.

A tentacle formed from my hand, the sharp spike now molded into a sharper Proto-adamantium blade that could cut through anything.

I had became stronger. So strong that I believed I could take on Mephisto without Gaea's aid and kick his ass.

But with the assimilation of Ultron, came his memories, although I couldn't exactly call them that.

Instead they were a log of information that told me everything I needed to know on how all this had started.

Loki.

Why am I not surprised?

Unbelievably, something else took precedence to finding the God of Tricksters and kicking his ass.

Something more urgent.

You see, according to the log, a couple of hours back, Ultron had beckoned to Galactus, urging him to come and consume the planet..

A final 'fuck you' to humanity.

And through my increased Psionic range, I could feel him pass by the moon, a collosal figure of unimaginable proportions.

Minutes away from the Planet.

And he was hungry.
