Change The System

Wei Ning was not the real Wei Ning in this world but instead after an unfortunate accident, she had been transmigrated into an infant who had the same name as her.

After transmigration, Wei Ning lived her life as the Wei Ning in this world.

In her first life, Wei Ning was an orphan who worked day and night just to earn her two time meal and a little bit for rent after she left the orphanage at the age 18.

Because she had been reading many transmigration novels in her free times where the person who had transmigrated knows everything beforehand and they take advantage of their knowledge and rule the world but.... here comes a little twist.

When Wei Ning transmigrated into the infant Wei Ning, she came with a system in this world. This system had some absurd tasks which Wei Ning had to fulfill to get rewards from the system. Each time Wei Ning would complete the task, Wei Ning would receive points which she could use to exchange for limited rewards. It could be anything; A simple pencil case or a big private jet or cargo ship. In the beginning it was fun but later on she become totally depended on the system and to get the rewards she completed every task assigned by the system.

All this while Wei Ning thought, as long as she doesn't do anything wrong to anyone, it doesn't matter even if she cheats a little.

But she forgot, everything comes with a price. And her price was.... loving Jiang Cheng who happened to be her ultimate goal. Wei Ning's ultimate mission in this world was to make Jiang Cheng fall in love with her but it only happened opposite.

Jiang Cheng came from the Great Jiang family, the wealthiest family of China in the world she had transmigrated in.

Jiang family owns more than fifty percent of business in the whole country but to keep this legacy going on they needed to have some strong allies too.

So when Jiang Cheng borned, his grandfather, Old Master Jiang arranged his marriage with the eldest girl of Wei family who was not even in the existence at that time because the eldest master Wei was still unmarried.

It was only a year later Eldest Master Wei got married and within a year Wei Ning came. So, when Wei Ning came into this world, she was already engaged to a two years old toddler.

But since it was the task given by the system, Wei Ning tried her best to show her love and care towards the young Jinag Cheng so that he would also love her. She always protected him with her extra knowledge about the world.

Be it the time when two children got kidnapped while returning from their elementary school or the time when Jiang Cheng scored low in his exams and Wei Ning offered to tutor him even though he was the one who was older among them.

While helping him, Wei Ning always thought that one day when Jiang Cheng would grew up, he would understand her efforts and care towards him and would be grateful to her. But this was where she got it all wrong.... because boy, was Jiang Cheng gonna appreciate her efforts? Never.

While growing up, all the love and care Wei Ning showered upon Jiang Cheng, even though there was a little greed behind her deeds, it was true that she had been the one who always remembered his birthdays and was the one who always wished him New Year's before everyone. 

In high school while playing basketball, when he got hit she gave him ice pack, when he was bullied she stood up for him, even though she was two years younger than him, she skipped grades so that she could study with him and help him out if he faced any problems.

But this was the problem.

Jiang Cheng whom she thought a little kid in front of her had his this big manly ego.

That day when his friends forced Wei Ning to take drugs, he was there. She begged him to save her but he just sat there, looking at her with his emotionless eyes. It was not that he wanted her to die but his mind was replaying the scene where the adult Wei Ning was overlapping with her younger self. It was the time when they both were kidnapped and they both were injected with drugs and were beaten brutally but when the cops arrived and they both were taken to hospital, only he was admitted in hospital for more than two months, he alone had to go for rehabilitation while Wei Ning who was younger than him by two years was safe and sound. Later he even found out, when the cops arrived, those four kidnappers were beaten and injured. Without any doubt, it was her doing too. Jiang Cheng couldn't help but feel jealous of her skills and strength. From then on he hated everything about Wei Ning.

Now looking at her crying and begging face, he only scoffed and turned her gaze away from her, not knowing that it could be his last gaze on her.

Seeing her beloved turning his head away from her, Wei Ning lost all her will to live and lost her life.

Not hearing any more begging, and the private room turning so silent, Jiang Cheng turned his head again on Wei Ning; But there was no Wei Ning anymore, just a lifeless body.

Holding her lifeless body, Jiang Cheng realized what he had lost in his ego. While holding his lover in his arms, Jiang Cheng cried for seven days and nights. Taking pity on his state, system gave him another chance to change their fate.

But this second chance, was Wei Ning gonna appreciate it?
