Poor Wei Ning didn't even know what was going on between her parents after she slept soundly.

Meanwhile inside the high palace walls, a two year toddler was not behaving like his usual self today.

Since the moment he woke up, at the crack of the dawn, he has been behaving strangely, looking more mature than a mere two years old little fella.

The attending servants beside him didn't know how to approach the suddenly changed little prince.

"Should we inform Crown princess? Little prince hadn't eaten anything since he woke up nor he had spoken a word." One of male servant whispered ask to the other male servant.

"I think, we shoul-"

"What is your name?" The little prince who hadn't spoke since morning, suddenly questioned.

Both servants were stunned, not at the question but the way the little prince spoke; it reminds them, when the Crown Prince talks; so serious and so intimidating.

But quickly they shook these thoughts from their heads, the little prince was the Crown Prince's descendant of course he would act like him too.

"Ah Bai."

"Ah Han."

Both servants who were around 15 years old, stepped forward and introduced themselves to the little prince.

The little prince didn't say anythings but stared at them with his peach blossom eyes. Wearing the little Prince's traditional royal chinese robe, a golden hairpin holding his long and satin like black hairs on the top of his little head, he really looked like a little cute and adorable bun, if not for the strange coldness and maturity in his sharp peach blossom shape eyes.

After a good minute, he finally nodded at them.

"I'm hungry."

Both Ah Bai and Ah Han run around the palace to make arrangements for his food while he only looked in the distance, trying to see outside of high palace walls.

"Are you somewhere there too, Wei Ning?"

Inside the Duke's mansion, the newborn baby girl was leisurely sleeping in her mother's embrace, her drooling face pressed against her mother's bossom, she was enjoying her rare lovely moment with her mother when suddenly her eyes jerked opened and she hastily observed her surrounding.

Finding herself in her mother's embrace, she quietly let out a sigh of relief and closed her eyes again.

Her abrupt movement was not unnoticed by Madam Wei, thinking, it was baby's instinct, she gently soothed her back and softly coaxed her to go back to sleep.

In no moment, little Wei Ning was again snoring against her mother's bossom, letting her drool wet her mother's satin nightdress.

Days passed in bliss and it was already her Full Moon celebration.

The royal carriage came to halt in front of the Duke's door and with the help of his attendant, Crown prince descended the royal carriage with a two years old toddler in his arms and strode towards Wei Jingchen and Madam Wei who were waiting for them at the door.

Both husband and wife bowed slightly and greeted the Crown Prince and little prince in courtesy.

"Ah Jingchen, sister-in-law. Forget the courtesy and let me see my daughter-in-law first." The Crown Prince, Jiang Mingyan waved his hand and immediately demanded to see his future daughter-in-law.

The little fella in his arms also had his peach blossom eyes set on the baby girl wrapped in the baby's cover in Madam Wei's arms.

But before Madam could show his the baby, she felt something.... cold and wet followed by Wei Ning's cries.

She whispered something in Wei Jingchen's ears and left the banquet hall to go back and the baby's clothes and blanket.

Jiang Cheng who was excited to see and confirm, if it was what he hoped for was left with disappointment when he heard the little baby's cries and saw when Madam Wei awkwardly apologized and left the banquet.

He could only stare at her back both in longing and nervousness. He didn't even care to listen what his father and future father-in-law were talking and laughing about. His all attention was set in the direction, Madam Wei went.

While after leaving the banquet hall, Wei Ning finally breathed in relief.

No matter how brave she pretended to be and how many scenarios she had imagined when they would meet, Wei Ning couldn't deny the effect, Jiang Cheng's presence left on her.
