CURSE BOUND

"It's been hours and we haven't even seen the other team" Benjamin says as he wipes the sweat off his forehead, standing in front of the dismembered corpse of a beast

"That's not a problem, our current problem is finding out how much combat points we have and where we can exchange them" Aurora says as she puts her dagger into its holster

"Though I already have a theory for that" aurora says

"That being ?" says Benjamin as he flashes the blood off his dagger

"It should be at the village, maybe an alter or a literal shop, the latter seems less plausible" Aurora says

"It's getting dark, we should find a cave or a abandoned shack" Benjamin says as he looks into the sky

"Hmm" Benjamin says as he squints, something glides past the evening sky seeming to be hunting something

"Get down" Benjamin whispers before grabbing Aurora and pulling her to the ground

"What is it ?" Aurora asks confused

"Quite frankly I don't know, but it's after something" Benjamin says

"A grassland drake" Aurora says after looking into the sky, shaken in voice

"Night hawks aren't native" Benjamin says, a slight amount of doubt in his voice

"It was brought here, it dont think they would have us fight some measly beasts all twelve weeks" aurora says as she lowers down

"Get ready it's going to pounce" Aurora as the drake narrows its body into a dive, slamming into the ground, the tremors shaking the forest

The magestic beast crawls through the woodlands as the evening sun shines off of its green scales, the bloodied sheep beast squeals under its breath as it is gnawed and ripped, the beast readies its self as it crawls over to the plateau to acheive another glide

"It's the apex, atleast for the next two or so weeks" miseria says as she appears behind the duo

"When did you" Benjamin says in surprise

"That dosent matter now, but you should know that in two weeks another creature will be added to the ecosystem, the first team to kill the beast get any one demand of there choosing, in the context of the event so dont get carried away" miseria says

"Why are telling this to us and no one else" Aurora asks

"Oh no, I've cloned myself over to all the teams, I'll be acting as the news anchor of this event" miseria says as she smiles

"So are you a clone" Benjamin asks

"Well… yes" the clone says

"My time seems to be up" the clone says as it dissipates

"Let's go, this time we should watch our step" aurora says as she lifts Benjamin up

"A grassland drake huh" lelovia says before letting out an awkward giggle

"There is quite simply no way we can beat that" lelovia says

"Well we don't have to, let's just leave it to the stronger duos" Mathew says

"The thing is it's almost impossible for all of us together to pull of something like that" Mathew says

"Exactly !" Lelovia screams

"Well there is a short window, the period of time when both the grassland drake and the other apex are in dispute for territorial dominance, is when we strike" Mathew says with a smile

"But there's no gaurantee everyone will follow your plan" lelovia says

"It's the only way, Im sure even the most uptight ego maniacs know that they can't take on a grassland drake" Mathew says as he shrugs his shoulders

"Well we'll die of hypothermia before that if we don't find the town or a unoccupied cave" Mathew says before looking away from Lelovia

"Yeah but I don't think it's a safe option to just go sleeping in any old cave" says Lelovia

"Not only because of the drake but because of the other native creatures of this forest" lelovia says anxiously

"It's our best bet, we just have to have a routine night watch" Mathew says as he walks off

"Just so you know Im sleeping first" lelovia says as she follows behind

"Fine by me" Mathew shrugs

"Now that I think about it we don't exactly know the life stage of the thing now do we ?" Lelovia says curiosly

"I bet it's a juvenile, there's no way they would let a fully grown draconic into the forest" Lelovia says

"I guess your right" mathew says as he moves some shrubs

A little while later

A scream from the grassland drake can be heard echoing through the forest, then a crash as it collides into the ground to kill a helpless monster

"Thats not good" says Helar

"We need to get out of here" says Hale still clinging to her brother

"we should stay quiet and continue to the village" says Helar his dagger covered in blood before Long they find themselves plummeting to the ground from a sudden cliff due to the hyper fixation on the drakes path, Helar hugs his sister tight to weaken the fall, but she covers them with barrier magic weakening their which would've killed them

"Ugh" Helar grunts as he shakes his sister to wake her

"Huh what happen" Hale says confused

"We fell from a cliff but you stopped us from dying with your barrier magic" says Helar

"Oh right" says Hale

"Say we should probably find that village misera talked about" says Hale as she looks in the direction of the village

"But we should hurry before it gets dark" says Hale

"Right" says Helar

The siblings spend a good time searching for food and the village, they were successful at catching some wild animals to eat and fended of beasts

"As long as we stay from its sight we should be alright" says Helar as the grassland drake is only a couple metres away from them eating a carcass

The siblings slowly creep out of the area avoiding to drake and continuing to the village

"That was a human carcass" says Helar

"Do you think it was one of the students" says Hale

"No I dont think so, the body was extremely decayed like it was there for months and even if we as the students are weaker than this beast, we would definitely know if a fight where to break out simply from the ruckus it would cause" says Helar

"My best guess is that it was some unlucky adventureer that died here before we came" says Helar

"Makes sense" says Hale
