"Don't worry, I'll be outside covering you guys. If any enemies show up, I'll blow their heads off!" Rebecca declared from the back seat, her voice brimming with excitement.

The streets of Night City were unusually quiet at four in the morning. The usual traffic jams and chaos had given way to empty roads and an eerie calm. Under Maine's expert driving, the team reached their destination within minutes.

Parking the van in a concealed spot near the factory, Maine and the others attached silencers to their weapons and ran through the plan one last time.

"Ethan, are you sure you're going in unarmed? I've got a silenced pistol for you, just in case," Maine offered, his eyes narrowing slightly as he regarded Ethan.

Though Rebecca and Pilar had hyped up Ethan's strength, Maine hadn't seen it for himself yet. The sight of Ethan entering empty-handed made him uneasy.

"I don't need it. For infiltration, this will be enough," Ethan replied calmly.

Without waiting for a response, he clenched his fists and struck the concrete beneath him with a sudden, powerful blow.

Boom!

The ground cracked loudly, revealing two five-centimeter-deep craters where Ethan's fists had landed. He straightened, brushing dust off his knuckles as he said, "This level of force should be sufficient."

He had only used about ten percent of his strength—any more, and the entire area might have collapsed.

Maine stared at the freshly made craters, his skepticism melting into quiet respect. Nodding slowly, he tucked the silenced pistol back into his holster.

"Not bad," Maine said with a gruff chuckle. "You're about as strong as me—maybe stronger."

What puzzled Maine, however, was Ethan's cyberware. He couldn't identify the model or make of Ethan's arm augmentations, yet the strength they demonstrated rivaled or even surpassed his own military-grade Gorilla Arms.

"Strength's… acceptable, I guess. Not quite on my level, but it'll do," Maine added, his words laced with playful bravado, though his grin betrayed his genuine appreciation.

Dorio's sharp eyes lingered on Ethan's cybernetic arms, her curiosity piqued by the sheer power he had displayed.

Activating her scanning optics, she attempted to analyze the augmentations but was met with a blank screen—no data, no model number, nothing.

Frowning, Dorio crossed her arms. "Ethan, mind if I ask where you got those arms? They don't match anything I've seen before," she said, her voice tinged with intrigue.

"They're compact, but the strength rivals Gorilla Arms. Are they some kind of prototype from a corporation?"

Maine and Lucy exchanged glances, their interest clearly sparked as well. As seasoned mercenaries, they had seen their fair share of cutting-edge tech, but Ethan's cyberware was a complete mystery.

If it couldn't even be scanned, it meant it wasn't commercially available—or it was something still locked behind corporate labs.

Ethan shrugged nonchalantly, a faint smile playing on his lips. "If I had to explain it… just think of it as something I built myself."

The answer was vague, but Ethan had no intention of revealing the truth. Telling them his augmentations were from another world would make him sound like a cyberpsycho.

Dorio raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. "You built them yourself? Sure." Her tone suggested disbelief, but she let the matter drop.

Maine chuckled, breaking the tension. "Whatever they are, they get the job done. That's all I care about."

Lucy remained quiet, her sharp gaze studying Ethan for a moment longer before returning her attention to the task at hand.

"Enough chit-chat," Maine said, his voice cutting through the moment. "We're almost there. Everyone get into position. Lucy, get ready to hack the gate system."

The group moved quickly, taking cover near the gate of the All Foods Factory. Lucy peered out from behind a corner, her gradient-colored eyes flashing as streams of data flowed through her HUD.

Within moments, she had successfully breached the factory's surveillance network.

"It's done," Lucy said calmly, turning back to the group. "We're clear to enter."

Maine and Dorio double-checked their weapons, ensuring silencers were secure, before leading the way inside.

Lucy followed close behind, her Lizzie pistol in hand, ready to defend herself or launch a hack if necessary.

Ethan brought up the rear, his scanning optics and life-sensing abilities keeping watch on their surroundings.

In his Genos-inspired first form, Ethan's life-sensing range extended up to 500 meters, allowing him to detect every enemy within the factory.

However, his scanning optics were limited to basic parameters—lacking the advanced hacking capabilities Lucy possessed.

"I'll have to install some hacking modules later to cover this weakness," Ethan thought to himself.

As they reached the imposing factory gates, Ethan's memories stirred. He recognized this place instantly.

It was a key location from Cyberpunk 2077, one he had visited during the prologue with Jackie. Back then, it was where they had secured the flathead drone for their infiltration of Konpeki Plaza.

The group slipped inside the factory, their movements silent and precise. The interior was as grimy and industrial as Ethan remembered, its dim lighting casting eerie shadows across the machinery.

Two automated turret guns flanked the inner gate, their barrels poised to fire. The sight immediately put the team on edge, but Lucy's calm voice reassured them.

"They're set to friendly mode now," she said, having already hacked and reprogrammed the turrets.

The four crept through the inner gate, navigating a pitch-black corridor littered with military-grade tech landmines.

Every step was calculated, their movements silent as they approached the storage hall of the All Foods Factory.

The hall was expansive, its floor scattered with crates and industrial equipment that doubled as natural cover.

Among the shadows, seven or eight Maelstrom guards patrolled lazily, their postures betraying no sense of urgency.

Maine turned to Ethan, his voice calm yet firm through their comms. "Ethan, stay with Lucy and keep her safe. Dorio and I will take care of the guards."

Ethan nodded without hesitation. "Got it. Go ahead."

The moment Maine and Dorio slipped into the shadows, Lucy focused intently on the surveillance system.

Her gradient eyes glimmered with flashes of red as streams of data cascaded through her interface, ensuring the cameras remained neutralized.
