Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Amazon Sisters (2)
"Come with me if you dare!"
"You bastard! Do you think I'm afraid of you?!"
Tione's eyes blazed with anger as the two sisters from the Kali Familia stood their ground.
Having survived numerous life-and-death duels, the sisters exuded a fierce determination, unafraid of death, and they welcomed any challenge.
"You're quite the fiery one, little girl. If you've got the guts, follow me—I'll take you somewhere worth fighting," Sett taunted, a sly grin spreading across his face.
Tione's temper flared at his words.
Without waiting for a response, Sett turned and walked down an aisle that the crowd had parted for him.
But his pace was slow, almost as if he were daring the sisters to catch up.
The two sisters exchanged a glance, and Tiona quickly swallowed the food in her mouth before hastily following after Sett.
Meanwhile, in the crowd, a red-haired, squinting goddess watched the exchange.
It was Loki, who had come to the monster festival for fun, and she had been eyeing the two Amazon sisters.
It wasn't just the elder sister striking figures—far beyond what her age would suggest—that had caught her attention.
Just as she was about to approach them, a man had intervened and made his move first.
Could she simply stand by and watch?
Her Familia, the Loki Familia, was one of the most powerful in Orario. No one had the right to interfere with her plans, and yet, someone had just stepped on her turf.
"That man seems to be from the Sol Familia... his name is Sett," observed the Captain of Loki Familia, Finn, who was beside her, frowning as he thought for a moment.
It wasn't Sett's strength that had earned him attention, but the rumors that had recently circulated about him in the guild. He had become something of a notorious figure in Orario.
To support Ganesha, Loki had brought Finn along to participate in the monster inspection.
Under normal circumstances, she would have invited a female member for a casual date.
"That bastard, Sol… let's follow them and see what's going on!" Loki finally decided.
Sol's name had caused her to hesitate briefly, but the allure of the two sisters was too strong to ignore.
---
Soon, Sett returned to the Sol Familia residence with a large group of people in tow.
The two sisters stopped in their tracks as they looked up at the grand building in front of them.
Though they didn't know Sett personally, it was clear this wasn't a typical Familia residence.
"What's wrong? Afraid to come in, little girl?" Sett taunted, his voice full of challenge.
"You bastard, just wait, I'll smash that foul mouth of yours soon enough!" Tione retorted hotly.
Sett was no stranger to dealing with hot-headed women, and with a few sharp words, he managed to provoke Tione's anger further.
Regardless of whose residence it was, she strode in without hesitation.
Tiona couldn't pull her sister back, and was instead pulled inside by Tione herself.
Due to the monster festival, the Sol Familia residence was relatively empty, with only those uninterested in the festivities remaining.
Yone, who was guarding the gate, raised an eyebrow as he glanced at the two sisters. Upon seeing that Sett had brought them back, he didn't stop them.
However, when he noticed Loki lurking nearby, his expression hardened. He moved quickly, stepping in front of the door and subtly placing his hands near the hilts of his swords.
His stance immediately caught Finn's attention, making him tense. The intent to fight was unmistakable.
"If we step forward, he won't hesitate to make a move," Finn thought.
"Don't get us wrong, we just want to visit Sol-sama," Finn explained, stepping forward.
"Sol-sama and Riveria-sama are at the monster festival. If you wish to visit, please come back later," Yone responded coldly, his gaze fixed on the short man before him.
Yone recognised Finn—the captain of the Loki Familia and a formidable LV6 adventurer. Although he wasn't a match for Finn, his current duty was to guard the gate, and he couldn't let uninvited guests through.
"You bastard, you don't know who you're dealing with!" Loki shouted, seething with anger.
But Finn quickly intervened, pulling her back. He knew that Loki was more likely to cause trouble, and pushing further would only escalate matters.
They were standing at the gate of the Sol Familia, and causing trouble here would be nothing but a slap to Sol's face. Finn didn't want to risk making an enemy of them.
"Can we wait here?" Finn asked, trying to keep the peace.
"Whatever you want," Yone replied coldly, casting a long look at Finn before turning his attention back to the door.
——
Meanwhile, the Sol Familia arena had been built in response to Kled's request, though it wasn't nearly as grand as the Ganesha Familia's Colosseum. It only lacked the spacious circle of seating.
"Wow, this arena is huge… this is impressive!" Tiona exclaimed in surprise. "Do ordinary familia really build something like this?"
Having spent so much time with the Kali Familia, they weren't unfamiliar with arenas.
Looking at the signs of wear and tear all around the venue, it was clear this place was frequently used.
"Could it be that this Familia is like the Kali Familia, where they often engage in internal battles?" Tiona wondered aloud.
"You two must be newcomers to Orario, right?" Sett said with a smug smile as he stood in the center of the arena, arms crossed. "No wonder you didn't know about this place."
"It's true that we're new to Orario, were not exactly a newcomer," Tione replied, not backing down.
"Doesn't matter. This is the Sol Familia's residence! And my name is Sett," he said proudly.
"I thought you'd calm down after I knocked your heads to the ground, but it looks like I'll have to introduce myself first!"
Tione let out a derisive snort, her sharp words cutting through the air.
Tiona looked at her sister, who was already on the offensive, and could only shake her head in exasperation.
Before coming to Orario, they had heard of the Sol Familia, one of the most powerful in the city. Its captain, Riveria, was known as Orario's top mage.
The Sol Familia was on par with the Kali Familia they had once belonged to, which aligned with their plans.
Having come from such a famed familia, they never intended to join just any random Familia in Orario.
"The head of my Familia noticed you before and sent me to invite you," Sett added.
"This is how your Sol Familia invites people? Sending guys like you to act as messengers? Seems like this Familia is really a joke," Tione sneered.
"Sharp tongue, little girl. You think I should send eight sedan chairs to invite you in? Well, let me show you the tools I use to persuade people," Sett retorted, his grin widening as he clenched his massive fist.
