LIGHTNOVELWORLD Chapter 5: New Team Members
Cleaning the blood off his scythe, Vazquez glanced at the lifeless body of that fake woman, or what humans call them transgender. But he prefers the term "It" since it's much more suitable for those types. Even though Yusuke himself would agree to the term as well.
Vazquez: Well, I don't care what you do; it has nothing to do with me.
He was indifferent to the scene before him. He looked down at the dead body; his lack of concern was evident, as it truly had no bearing on his life. However, he was caught off guard by what happened.
(In his mind)
"I didn't sense him coming, so I guess I wasn't focused on the fight."
(Out of his mind)
Yusuke: Whatever.
Hearing footsteps approaching quickly, he glanced back slightly to see a man with light bluish hair charging at him in anger.
Shigaraki: You're going to pay for what you've just done!
Reaching out, Shigaraki attempted to decay the man holding the scythe. In the blink of an eye, Yusuke's scythe sliced off Shigaraki's hand.
Yusuke remained silent, glaring at the man he didn't recognize.
Kaito observed the scene with a happy smile.
Kaito: What an interesting experience.
He remarked. It was exhilarating to watch.
Shigaraki, clutching his severed hand, stayed quiet. He glared at the man wielding the scythe with a look of pure hatred. He felt an overwhelming urge to rip the man apart.
The black figure appears right in front of everyone.
The black figure: I didn't expect this to happen, not one bit. However, a few of you will be placed on separate teams. The teenage girl named Toga and Anastasia will stay on this team, while Yusuke, Klaudia, Akihiko, and Kanako will join the other team.
With that, Yusuke, Klaudia, Kanako, and Akihiko completely vanished, sent to the other team. The black figure also disappears.
Anastasia: It looks like we're a team now.
She glances at everyone, including Shigaraki, the one who attempted to attack Yusuke.
Shigaraki remains silent, looking down at his bleeding arm.
(At the first team).
Yusuke: I guess I'll introduce myself to those who don't know me. My name is Yusuke, and I am the Dark Orb King as well as the leader of Orbussia, Orbfrica, Orbraine, and Orbina, which correspond to Russia, Africa, Ukraine, and China in human terms. I have committed four genocides for the purpose of acquiring land. My powers are rooted in dark energy, but I can also manipulate diamonds.
Staying quiet as he steps back to let someone take the stage.
Klaudia: My name is Klaudia, and I am the Blood Orb Queen.
She looks around at everyone, feeling relieved when her gaze lands on Mochizuki, who she recognizes. Klaudia decides not to say more and steps back, allowing someone else to take the spotlight.
Kanako: Hey there! My name is Kanako. I'm the daughter of the Angels of Slaughter Boss, and that young man over there is my adopted brother.
She points to Kiyozawa with a smile, but he pretends not to know her.
Kanako: Kiyo, don't be mean!
Kanako notices a person wearing a plague doctor mask and blushes slightly as she smiles at them.
Akihiko: My name is Akihiko. I'm the leader of Orb Zealand, and that's all I have to say.
He remains quiet after that.
Kanako: Hey there.
She glances at Overhaul, blushing slightly and feeling nervous about what she wants to say.
Overhaul: Oh, hey there.
He looks at her calmly, curious about why she is talking to him.
Kanako: Do you have a girlfriend?
She asks, her face still flushed as she reveals her true intentions.
Both Overhaul and Kiyozawa: What!?
They both express surprise at her question. Kiyozawa is particularly shocked that his adopted sister would say something like that, especially in this situation. Overhaul also blushes, taken aback by the unexpected question.
Dabi: Hey guys, it's time for us to keep moving.
He looked at everyone as he walked down the path. A few others followed him, even though they were unsure why they were there or what their purpose was.
Kiyozawa: Kanako, I need to make sure you stay alive through this. I don't want the Boss to be upset about your death.
He said this calmly while walking beside her.
Kanako: What's that guy's name?
She glanced over at Overhaul, who was walking ahead with Dabi. She was curious about him.
Kiyozawa: Kai Chisaki, I think. But I doubt he's into the dating scene since he's also Yakuza. Dating a rival gang's leader wouldn't bode well for the Angels of Slaughter.
He looked at her with a calm demeanor, hoping she would understand the implications if she chose to date another Yakuza.
Kanako: Kai Chisaki...
She smiles at the thought of him, eager to make Kai hers.
Kiyozawa: Are you even listening to me?
He looks at her, annoyed, wondering why she is ignoring him.
Kanako: Nope.
She playfully sticks her tongue out at him.
(Meanwhile, on the second team)
Anastasia: We can't go anywhere until she's healed.
She points at Toga, who is currently unconscious from the brutal beating inflicted by Yusuke. A lingering thought crosses her mind about someone who could heal Toga instantly.
Kaito: Do you still have that slave? Hmm?
He glances at Anastasia, already aware of who she is thinking about as he smiles at her.
Shigaraki: What slave?
He looks at Kaito and Anastasia, confused about what they are discussing.
Anastasia: Kaien.
She uses her energy to make Kaien appear right in front of her. He is a teenage boy with black hair and golden eyes, dressed in a light blue dress shirt, black dress pants, and matching shoes.
Kaien: ...
His eyes widen as he looks at the blonde-haired girl in front of him, who appears brutally beaten by someone who didn't hold back. He trembles slightly, already knowing what he must do, even though he feels a deep instinct to help her despite not knowing who she is.
Anastasia: Kaien, you know what to do.
Her tone is demanding as she hovers over him, expecting him to fulfill her order despite what might happen to him.
Kaien: Yes, Mistress...
He uses his energy to heal Toga's injuries instantly, but the downside is that he will take on Toga's injuries for two months. Bruises begin to appear all over his body, and he tears up slightly from the pain he is enduring.
Everyone stayed after Toga was healed. Shigaraki couldn't believe how quickly it happened, but he felt something for the boy who had been forced to heal his comrade.
Shigaraki: Thanks for healing her.
He said softly, although he noticed the boy was covered in bruises, which looked quite painful.
Anastasia: Good boy, Kaien.
She gently patted his head, treating him like a dog.
Toga stirred slightly, waking up and looking over at Shigaraki with confusion, now that her pain had lifted. She glanced at the teenage boy, who appeared to be around her age, and noticed he had the same bruises she did. She remembered wanting to protect her comrade from the man wielding the scythe, but at that moment, she hadn't considered how powerful he was. He hadn't given her a chance to get back up.
