DC HERO AT MARVEL

Chapter 206: Chapter 206 The All-Father Odin! One Family?

The figure who had suddenly appeared, of course, was none other than Thor.

To be precise, the former God of Thunder.

Boom!!

Wonder Woman, wielding Mjolnir, charged forward. When she saw Thor step in front of Loki, she shifted the hammer direction at the last moment, and it smashed into the ground at their feet.

Crack, crack, crack!

Countless lightning bolts descended from the heavens. The ground instantly caved in, forming a massive circular pit.

Spiderweb-like cracks, as wide as a hand, spread outward for dozens of meters.

"Hmm?"

Wonder Woman narrowed her eyes but didn't pick up the hammer from the ground.

When Thor had stepped in front of Loki, she had indeed intended to hold back, but before she could act, Mjolnir had subtly shifted its trajectory on its own and struck the ground instead.

Was it avoiding harming its former master?

Wonder Woman frowned, sensing that things weren't as simple as they seemed.

"Yes, Wonder Woman, you mustn't kill Loki!"

At that moment, Sif, whose injuries were much less severe than the others, also arrived at the scene.

Rushing in front of Wonder Woman, she pleaded, "Loki is the All-Father son. No matter what mistakes he has made, only the All-Father has the right to judge him."

"The All-Father?"

Wonder Woman said flatly, "Your All-Father is currently in a deep sleep. If Odin remains in his slumber, does that mean Loki gets to continue his misdeeds unchecked?"

"No," Thor said firmly. "I will watch over him."

"You?"

Wonder Woman gaze shifted to Thor, a trace of disdain flashing in her eyes.

"A mortal… When you were the God of Thunder, you couldn't control Loki. Now that you're a mere mortal, what gives you the right to claim you can keep him in check?"

"Stand aside! I don't need anyone pity!"

Loki slowly rose to his feet, pushing Thor aside as he glared coldly at Wonder Woman. "If you want to kill me, I'll stand right here and let you."

"Loki!"

Thor couldn't help but try to dissuade him.

"Get out of my way, Thor!"

Loki eyes widened, his face twisting with hatred. "The last thing I need is your pity."

"Why?"

Thor voice trembled with pain. "Why did you do all of this?"

"To prove to Father that I am a capable son," Loki said, his voice sharp. "To show him that I am the one who can truly inherit the throne."

"You want the throne so badly?"

"No, I don't care about the throne," Loki said with a derisive sneer.

"I just want everyone in Asgard, everyone across the Nine Realms, to know that I am better than you! That I am more worthy of the throne than you will ever be!"

A slightly manic smile spread across Loki face.

"Loki, this is my fault," Thor said quietly, his voice heavy with guilt.

Thor could hear the bitterness in Loki voice and finally understood why the distance between them had grown so vast, leading to their current conflict.

"No matter what you've done to me, I'll accept it without complaint," Thor said solemnly.

"But I hope you'll think about yourself, Loki. If you truly are better than me, you should understand that everything you've done won't prove to Father that you're more worthy of the throne than I am."

"Shut up!"

Loki roared, "Laufey is dead! I was so close, just one step away from destroying Jotunheim!"

Laufey is dead?!

Everyone except Wonder Woman was shocked to hear this.

Laufey, King of the Frost Giants and ruler of Jotunheim…

He was dead?

And it seemed Loki was the one who killed him!

No wonder Loki dared to speak so boldly in front of Thor.

"Loki…"

Thor stared blankly at his brother. "Laufey was your biological father. You killed him?"

He knew Loki true origins.

Although Odin had kept the secret when he conquered Jotunheim and adopted Loki, Thor had long known the truth.

Furthermore, Loki himself had learned about his heritage through other means.

"So what?"

Loki glared coldly at Thor. "I have only one father, and he is Odin, the All-Father."

Thor voice trembled. "Not only did you kill Laufey, but you plan to destroy Jotunheim and slaughter an entire race… a place that should have been your home!"

"I told you—I have only one father!"

Loki furious roar echoed through the air.

Whoosh!

The scepter, previously lying on the ground, suddenly flew back into Loki hand.

Taking a step forward, Loki gripped the scepter like a spear and thrust it fiercely at Thor, who stood in his way.

Wonder Woman watched the scene unfold without expression.

She could have stopped Loki attack on Thor, but she remained still—not because she didn't want to intervene, but because she knew Thor no longer needed her protection.

At that moment, it was as if events had circled back to their original course, restoring the story to its natural trajectory.

The reason she thought this was that she could no longer control Mjolnir.

In other words, Mjolnir rightful owner, Thor Odinson, had reclaimed the mantle of Thor.

"Odin, you're a masterful schemer," Wonder Woman muttered, recalling the sight of Odin in his slumber during her earlier confrontation with Loki in the palace.

Clearly, the changes in Mjolnir were inextricably linked to Odin influence.

"No, don't!"

"Thor!"

"Loki, what are you doing?"

Sif cried out in alarm.

Others who had just arrived at the scene shared the same horrified expression, unable to believe they were witnessing the two princes of Asgard locked in deadly combat.

Frigga face was etched with sorrow.

Whoosh!

The tip of Loki scepter was about to pierce Thor chest.

Boom!!

At the last moment, Mjolnir soared into the air, streaking like lightning into Thor hand.

Thunder rumbled, and lightning erupted around Thor, an overwhelming energy surging from his body.

Amid the blinding light, a figure clad in armor began to emerge.

Everyone froze.

The scene was unfamiliar, but the figure within the glow was someone they all knew intimately.

"Thor!"

Sif screamed in excitement.

She knew—the God of Thunder, who had fought across the Nine Realms and never tasted defeat, was back!

"No!!"

Loki scepter failed to pierce its target, the blade bouncing harmlessly off Thor armor.

A wave of power followed, forcing Loki to stumble back.

It was unmistakably the power of Thor.

"You've regained your strength!"

Loki roared in fury. "No, this isn't fair!!"

Being sharp-witted, Loki quickly deduced that this was all orchestrated by his father, Odin.

"Loki, I will imprison you until you are ready to admit your mistakes and atone for your actions"

Thor said, stepping forward from the dissipating light, Mjolnir in hand, his gaze locked on Loki.

"You think I'll let you capture me?"

Loki madness gave way to disappointment, his eyes revealing a trace of sorrow as he glanced toward the palace, his expression tinged with regret.

"Not good!"

Thor realized something and lunged forward to grab Loki, but his hand caught only empty air.

"Loki!"

"Stop him!"

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

But as everyone scanned the area, Loki had completely vanished from sight.

When it came to illusions, Loki was a master. Once he blended into a crowd, no one could find him.

"He gone," Wonder Woman said flatly.

In the moment of Loki disappearance, a prompt appeared in Wonder Woman mind.

The system acknowledged that the crisis originating in Asgard but affecting Earth had finally been resolved.

[Defeated the Destroyer, subdued the Trickster God Loki, helped Thor regain the power of Thor, and saved Jotunheim. Reward: 8 million Justice Points]

[Current Justice Points Balance: 40 million]

Clearly, Loki had realized Odin was awake and recognized his father favoritism.

Even if Loki had succeeded in destroying Jotunheim and proving his worthiness to inherit the throne, it would have been meaningless.

To Odin, Thor was always the one most fit to inherit the throne.

Now, with Thor returning stronger after his trials, his claim to the throne was even more solidified.

Loki had completely lost his competitive edge.

No longer willing to stay, he left.

...

"It over," Thor said with a sigh of relief as Loki vanished.

Though he hadn't captured Loki, Thor wasn't sure he would have known how to deal with his brother if he had.

Perhaps letting Loki go was for the best.

For now, it seemed Loki wouldn't cause any immediate trouble.

Thor also believed that Loki deep attachment to Asgard would prevent him from truly harming it.

As for the long term, that would be up to Odin.

"Father!"

Suddenly, a figure appeared before Thor.

His presence was commanding without effort. With white hair and beard, a single piercing eye, and an imposing demeanor, his very appearance made the air feel heavier.

The overwhelming divine power he exuded was suffocating, filling everyone with an undeniable sense of awe.

Wonder Woman eyes narrowed as she turned sharply to face the newcomer.

The All-Father, Odin!

She hadn't sensed his arrival at all.

"Disperse," Odin said with a wave of his hand. "What comes next is a family matter."

"Yes, my lord!"

Everyone lowered their heads and began to leave.

Sif lingered for a moment, casting a deep glance at both Wonder Woman and Thor. Her eyes glimmered with intense curiosity before she departed.

Wonder Woman also intended to leave but found herself unable to move.

The immense pressure, like a mountain pressing down on her, left her immobilized and struggling to breathe.

"You're staying," Odin said, smiling faintly at her. "I told you, this is a family matter."

"I'm not related to you by blood," Wonder Woman said, frowning.

While she was nominally the daughter of Zeus, this Marvel universe did not have the Zeus she was familiar with.

"You carry the blood of the gods within you," Odin said calmly. "In the most ancient times, all gods shared the same blood."

"Then what do you want from me?"

Wonder Woman narrowed her eyes. Despite the immense pressure Odin was exerting, she sensed no malice from him. Instead, it felt as though he saw right through her.

"Your bloodline is akin to ours, but your life force is different… I simply wanted to take a look at you. It been a long time since I've encountered someone as interesting as you," Odin replied, a faint smile gracing his face.

With a wave of his hand, he added, "Your name is Diana Prince, Wonder Woman. You are a benefactor of Asgard. In the name of Odin, All-Father of the gods, I extend my gratitude.

If you ever need assistance, you can call upon us. Asgard will do everything in its power to help you overcome any challenge."

"Alright, I'll remember that," Wonder Woman said, nodding. "Can I leave now?"

"Of course," Odin said with a nod.

In the next moment, under Thor astonished gaze, Wonder Woman disappeared without a trace.

Meanwhile…

Earth.

In the small town of Puente Antiguo, New Mexico, Anton eyes flickered. As he recalled Wonder Woman avatar returning and the meaningful glance Odin had cast toward him, he couldn't shake the feeling that Odin might have discerned something.

...

Asgard.

"Father, who exactly is she?" Thor asked after Wonder Woman departure, turning to Odin with a mix of curiosity and confusion.

"Sif and the others even suggested she might be my illegitimate daughter—which is impossible! But… you wouldn't happen to be her father, would you?"

At Thor words, Frigga, standing nearby, narrowed her eyes and fixed her gaze on Odin, clearly awaiting his response.

Sweat beaded on Thor forehead.

Even he could tell that if Odin answer didn't satisfy Frigga, a storm of wrath would be unleashed. Family?
