Dead Men Tell The Best Tales

Chapter 4: Bull

Meanwhile,

A muscular white wild bull with glowing red eyes, which had no eyeballs, just a red glow, and no horns, appeared from the white bright light.

It looked around, confused. This wasn't the place where it had died. The bull remembered fighting lions to protect its pregnant mate.

"Where am I?" it wondered.

It remembered floating in a strange, star-filled space, feeling peaceful and wonderful, as if heading to the place where bulls go after death.

But then, something strange happened—it was pulled into a weird hole. When it opened its eyes, it was here.

The bull looked at its body. The wounds were gone, and while it still had its strong build, its entire back, legs, and tail were now white. There was no hair on its tail, and it also didn't feel itchy.

The area around it was peaceful, filled with green trees and soft grass.

"Is this the afterlife my mother and other bull talked about?" the bull thought.

"A land full of endless grass."

Suddenly, the bull heard a loud scream in the distance.

"Aahh!"

The curious bull decided to explore. After all, who knows? Maybe its mother was here. She had been eaten by those lions.

Its eyes flared as it remembered how those wild beasts kept attacking its family. The thought made it angry.

But the next second, it started running. It wanted to know who was making the noise.

As it started running, it felt happy. There was no need to stay alert all the time, watching out for wild animals like lions or hyenas.

It ran fast, moving between trees.

Finally, it arrived near the area where the voices were coming from.

The bull turned its head and saw a strange white figure being held down by grass and beaten by a tree.

The white creature let out weird noise.

"Aahh! Aahh!"

As the tree whipped him.

It froze, seeing the tree hitting someone. It looked around at the nearby trees, scared they might do the same.

After a while, seeing that the nearby trees weren't moving, it calmed down. It stayed still, unsure of what to do, continuing to peek while staying quiet.

The bull watched as the strange white creature spoke in some strange language.

Moments later, the trees stopped moving, and the grass released him. The bull stared in amazement, impressed by the creature's ability.

As the creature got up, the bull turned its head away. It didn't want to go near the tree that could move or the strange white creature.

Deciding it wasn't worth the trouble, it focused on the green grass nearby, lowered its head, and began to eat.

As soon as it pulled the grass, it vanished in its mouth like air. The bull blinked in confusion and tried again.

The same thing happened. The grass disappeared.

Nearby, the trees grew angry as another creature began killing the grass.

Branches moved aggressively, and the grass beneath the bull's legs tightened, trying to trap it.

The bull, with its strong strength, easily pulled its leg free, tearing the grass in the process.

The grasses felt pain as parts of them were torn or completely pulled out.

Both the broken pieces and the completely pulled out grass vanished shortly after.

Whip! Whip!

The trees, angered by the continuous killing of the grass, hit the bull. A branch slapped it hard on the back.

The bull screamed in pain.

"Mooo!"

"Mooo! Help me! Help me!" The bull screamed while running towards Lucas as the trees continued to hit it with their branches.

Lucas, who had just been let go by the tree, turned his head toward the sound. His face changed when he saw the bull charging toward him.

"Holy shit!" Lucas yelled. "A bull is coming to kill me! God, I thought the afterlife was supposed to be peaceful!"

He turned and started running in the opposite direction, not knowing where to go.

Meanwhile, the bull continued running. It dodged the trees, trying to avoid the whipping branches.

The trees became angrier, thinking that the bull wasn't apologising but instead asking for help from someone who might attack them.

They continued to hit the bull with their branches.

Whip! Whip!

The bull didn't stop running, not understanding why it was being attacked.

It ran faster, hoping that the white creature who could command the trees might be able to make them stop hitting it.

Lucas looked back and saw the bull had closed the distance very quickly.

He quickly realised he couldn't outrun the bull or fight it. The best option was to ask for help from the trees nearby.

He stopped and joined his hands in front of the random tree, saying, "Mr. Tree! Save me! Please!"

Understanding that the trees stopped attacking him after his apology, Lucas thought they might be able to understand him. He decided to give it a try, hoping the trees would help him now.

If it didn't work,

"I will figure out what to do about the bull later on." Lucas said this in a hurried tone.

The trees understood some of what Lucas was saying. They realised that Bull might attack him in its anger for being beaten by the trees.

Also, understanding that Lucas was sincere and he had already apologised for hurting the grass, the simple-minded trees decided to help him.
