Dear Ex-wife, You have no other choice

The past two days got Valerie working herself to the bones in order to distract herself from her visit to Tony Chen's office.

To cheer her up, Gabby and Jacob force her to go out for a day of fun and force her out of the house.

After spending the whole day dolling theirselves up, on Gabby's drag they decided to visit a jewelry store to have a look at beauties.

But coincidentally, Myanna who already seemed to be making trouble with a poor attendant crying in front of her.

Immediately, Valerie sighted her she retreat her steps and make to escape back through the door but Myanna cast her eyes on them before she could manage to do so.

The angry look on Myanna's face changed to a scorn at she glare at Valerie. She pushed away the attendant who landed on the floor with a loud whimper before advancing towards Valerie.

Both Gabby and Jacob quickly step forward to shield Valerie in case she would try to attack her like last time but she did not.

"Why are you still here?" she asked crossing her arms.

'I still have something to do here, I will leave as soon as I am done" Valerie said knowing what she meant.

"You want an investment? I thought you started SWAN as a big joke so I let it be"

"That must have made you misunderstand Valerie, so let me remind you again, you…are a nothing and would never be"

"All these years, watching you trying so miserably hard was pathetic but now it is starting to get infuriating"

Myanna lash out and Valerie bit her lips feeling embarrassed by the second, she know where Myanna was going with her attack. She has never let go of any opportunity to remind her of her birth.

The truth that she was born out of an affair, the fact that her mother was a hostess who seduced a rich married man and tried to destroy their home.

But then a thought came to Valerie, since Myanna want her out of the country so desperately, she could use it to her own advantage and get investment from Waters' corporation instead.

Even though it would be another chance to make mockery of her and seek dominance over her but she has no other choice if she does not want to get involve with Tony Chen.

Not only that, but there is someone really important waiting for her return over there and she needs to be back as soon as possible.

"Myanna" she can't not sure what she was saying after the last words she heard.

"Can we talk over a cup of coffee?" she asked and a disgusted dismay expression appeared on Myanna's face.

Gabby and James also shared a look of surprise not sure why she would want to share a cup of coffee with someone like Myanna that has always make her life miserable.

Despite Myanna disgusted countenance, she still followed Valerie to a coffee house nearby and have her order their drinks while she waits impatiently for her.

Valerie wait a bit before telling her about the reason why she had come to the country briefly and make a bold request of her.

"Why would I invest in something of yours?"

"SWAN is going to make international soon, you can have your returns on the stocks in two years" Valerie explained.

"Well, I could spare few millions on the condition that I would owe a tangible part of the company" Myanna replied after a thought.

Valerie hesitated before responding, for sure Myanna does not mean good with her sleek offer. For all Valerie knows, she might just want to take her company from her.

"I will consider it" she said not sure she want her in the company.

She has strives all her life to get away from the Waters family, having Myanna own a part of SWAN would be giving her control of her life again.

Valerie however gets a call from Kyle Rivers, her partner after a few days that Myanna has offered the company an investment.

It was clear what she was trying to do and Valerie knows better than to accept her offer now, without wasting time, she decided to go visit her old home.

It was the same as usual except that no one seem to recognize her and she was allowed in easily. As Valerie find her way in, she took a pause as she heard Myanna's voice.

"What make you think I love him? I am only interested in his wealth" Myanna lash out to her mother who was pestering her again.

"There are other wealthy man in the country, pick one who is interested in you and could help the company out of this crisis" Susan said frustrated.

The company has been suffering internally for a while now and they have had to secretly laid off few workers, yet her daughter had taken millions from the company despite their crisis.

"It is Tony Chen and no one else, I do not want another wealthy man. He's the only one perfect for me"

"And I have told you to give me more time, once I am able to get through him and make him to sleep with me once, I can force my way into becoming his wife" Myanna said with confidence.

"Once? What if you did not become pregnant?" Susan argued.

"It doesn't matter, as long as I slept with him, he won't be able to deny responsibility"

Valerie listen to all these silence with a big frown on her face, deciding not to go in, she retrieve her steps and quickly make her way out of the house before they could sight her.

As she got into the cab back home, she could not help but think about what she had just overheard over and over again.

All these while she had felt guilt for falling in love Tony was because she thought that Myanna was in love with Tony and that she had jeopardize her sister's happiness by stealing her man.

Hearing Myanna just then however, it doesn't seem to her that Myanna was truly in love with Tony, all she ever wanted was his wealth.

If that is the case then, maybe she has nothing to be guilt of. Rather the only person she should feel guilt towards should be Tony alone.

She has hurt him in many ways and if there is a good way she could repay him, it would be by helping him and make sure that he does not fall into Myanna's trap.
