"You are going to be late for the party if you don't make up your mind soon" Jacob told picking yer another cloth she had rejected.

"I have to look perfect at the party Jacob, if I don't get the attention of Alec Biars tonight, I might have to wait another two years"

Jacob sigh and walk to the truck of dresses, he take a long while examining each dress and finally settled his eyes on the sapphire blue dress.

It was the dress that had made Valerie won the best designer of the year in Bells and that had bloomed her business to where it was right now.

"This is your lucky dress, you should definitely wear it" he told Valerie taking it out of the bag.

Valerie take a look at the dress she had spend three months making, it's a straight dress that swept the floor behind her with real sapphire embodied at the top of it.

She had to starve for few days so she could fit into the dress and have it craved on her body when she walked down the run.

"You're right, it's perfect" she said satisfied with the choice and dress up already running late for the party.

Alec Biars was throwing a party to celebrate the success of his just concluded business with Gloss, the biggest fashion company in RK and she hoped that the next company he would choose to work with after would be hers.

Myanna walked into the party hall with her red short dress that exposed her cleavage and leave her back naked. Her aim tonight was to make Tony Chen see what beautiful woman she is and finally get interested in her.

And if that didn't work, she had an alternative plan as usual.

The party was for the fashion world and people who have interest in it but Myanna wasn't really into that. The Waters company deals with construction works so they have no business with fashion.

But since Tony was going to be there tonight, Myanna had also prepared herself to look extremely ravishing tonight.

According to her informant, many fashion companies would be here tonight to try their luck with Alec Biars, a very important figure in the fashion world and lot of women put a lot of effort in their dressing.

So she has selected carefully a dress that would attract men's attention to draw Tony's eyes on her and her only.

She still can't understand why he would go to such party where there would lot of women but she was prepared not to let any of them capture his eyes or go near him tonight.

Myanna pick a glass of wine as soon as she step in and look around slyly at the men who were already mesmerized by her. A satisfaction smile appear on her face and she take every step very calculative.

Tony Chen was her target tonight and she didn't plan to let the ogling eyes of other men distract her or the jealous murmuring of the ladies whom she had stolen the attention from.

"Hi Mr. Biars" Myanna greeted stopping in front of the two men and had her eyes on Tony who held a frown on her seeing her.

"Do I know you Miss?" Alec asked

"My name is Myanna Waters, I am Mr. Chen's fiancee" she introduced and Tony glare hard at her.

"Oh, you are the infamous lady Tony got married to in names" Alec remarked making a joke.

Myanna faked a smile not letting his sarcasm get in the way of her feeling, she turn to Tony and gave him a beautiful smile.

"I think Miss here really want a time alone with you" Alec said trying to give the two space to talk but Tony's disapproved glare made him halt in his steps and chuckle at the helpless look on Myanna's face.

"What are you doing here?" Tony asked in a deep hoarse voice hating that she had intrude his space.

Myanna shuddered off the discouraging attitude and focus on getting him to have a drink with her bit before she could give her answer, something else caught everyone's eyes.

Tony Chen glanced up uninterested but when he saw who had just caused the distraction, his chest tightened up and he forgot to breathe for a moment.

Standing at the door was the woman who had stolen his heart five years ago.

But she do not look like the innocent sweet girl he had fallen head over heels with, she looked absolutely gorgeous and really pretty in the attention calling dress she was putting on.

"Who is that?"

Thirty minutes has passed since the party started and Valerie felt like she might have missed her chance with other people at the party trying to get Alec Biars too.

She had rushed out of the car trying to put her heels on and hurry into the party hall. She stopped to catch her breathe at the entrance and waited two seconds before going in.

There are lot of people than she had expected and she felt a little nervous having to stay in the same room with them.

Many ladies put on beautiful dresses and she realize they are all trying to impress Alec too. This made her feel less confident than she was seconds ago and she examine her dress again making a comparison to the other dresses.

If she didn't catch Alec's eyes today, then it would be Jacob's fault that they missed such good opportunity to make SWAN an intentional fashion company.

Valerie was oblivious to the cold Grey eyes staring holes into her body but she could feel the chills and try not to put her arms around her body for warmth.

She walk around the room slowly making few nods at the eyes who were staring at her ignoring the unpleasant ones and trying to find Alec admist them.

Valerie looked at the west side of the room and froze when she saw Tony staring right at her, Myanna was also standing next to him and Alec Biars who she was looking for stand close to the two.

In a second, Valerie lost every courage she had left and move back in shock almost breaking her heels but Alec who already had his attention on her rush forward to grab her arm and help her from falling.

Valerie stared again at Tony still staring at her not taking his eyes off of her. Feeling pressurized by his glare, her body start to get hot from anxiety and she start to hyperventilate.

"Are you okay Miss?" Alec asked and that brought back her senses.

She turned to Alec realizing the big shot which she had come from was standing beside her and holding her arm.

Immediately, she wipe the look of anxiety off her face and quickly apologize prepared to make him sign a contract with her.

"Thank you Mr. Biars, my name is Valerie Swan" she introduced putting on her professional smile.

"Are you a designer? What's the name of your brand?" Alec asked getting interested in the beautiful woman.

Valerie feel her confidence coming back as her dress had once again done it magic but just then a corner of her eyes caught Tony approaching and she lost concentration.

"Hi Miss. Waters" he said with a unfriendly face looking like he wanted to snatch her away from the party.

Valerie was lost for words to say and feel the nervousness rushing back again, her heart beat fast and she couldn't think straight.

She wasn't sure if it was because of the fear of seeing him after four years or the feelings that she had kept buried sprouting up inside of her.
