Chapter 33: Detnerat`s weak point II
The patrolling guard had a mediocre quirk that Taiko would describe and call "Shock Arm". They had to hurry before Giran and his truck showed up on the outside cameras. Taiko risked a dash to the next rack, towards what he realized was the surveillance room. This room had armored heavy doors, and if they locked from the inside, it would be risky.
Another dash. The guard watching the cameras saw something flash between the racks and blinked a couple of times, thinking it was a slight imperfection of the night mode of the cameras. After waiting another second, he looked away, as something flashed again.
The Rebel Path – P.T. Adamczyk
"What..." he blinked, but at some point he realized that the silhouette was not imaginary and was accelerating even faster on other cameras. Noticing how it was flying straight towards...him at full speed!
The guard frantically managed to lock the steel door at the last moment before the powerful push. Inside this room, he now felt safe. Only now, leaning close to the door, did he notice a silhouette on the cameras nearby, whose hands resembled powerful sharp paws. Remembering his duties, the guard, puffing, grabbed the belt radio. Cursing himself a thousand times, he noticed how the radio was lying on the table.
The silhouette looked into the camera for a moment with its terrifyingly frightening and bone-piercing gaze. This gaze was clearly of a paranormal nature!
-Fucking...shit....
Having collected his thoughts, the guard was distracted and stood up, feeling somehow lousy. Unusually lousy! Immediately, on the borders of his consciousness, a sound of breaking through metal was heard. Turning around, continuing to walk towards the table with an uncertain step, the guard saw the metal door being torn as if paper by those paws. Another second and nothing would remain of the door.
Gathering his last strength, he did not look towards the monstrous silhouette, but made a final dash towards the radio. The closer he was to the radio, the more furiously the humanoid creature was pounding on the door. At some point, his consciousness faded. He fell and crashed right onto the table, throwing the radio away to the edge of the room with an inept maneuver.
-Fuck...
But there was still a chance. Quickly rolling across the floor, the guard used his quirk of attracting an object at short distances. At some point, his mind was preoccupied exclusively with the radio, as if it was a matter of survival. Adrenaline hit his brain, revealing his consciousness. The long-awaited radio fell right into his hand. His favorite radio felt best in his hand like never before: its weight, the rough, well-worn scuffs on the sides...
Just before the moment to press the button, there was a crunch. Red liquid splashed onto the guard's face. A moment, and the blood was his. A moment, and his hand was crushed by a chitinous paw as if under a press.
-What...
Just before the moment of realizing the pain and screaming, the guard was knocked out by a fist to the head. The door was ripped apart and torn off its hinges to the base.
...
Taiko caught his breath, trying to turn off the cameras. While the radio was worriedly trying to get through to the source of the noise, Taiko also found the storage where the recording was saved. Unfortunately, it would be impossible to completely interrupt the work due to the low level of access, which is logical. An ordinary security guard cannot and should not turn off the cameras. However, there is a way out.
Taiko traced the path of saving the mp4 of the current session. - These fools used their own computer for storage... This is what happens when a company decides to save on servers. - However, the computer was cheap, from the "office" category.
Taiko was able to interrupt the current cycle and start a new one, thereby creating an already recorded file in the storage folder. After that, everything recorded in the last 24 hours is deleted.
According to his newly acquired knowledge, Taiko knew that deleting from the trash is not a guaranteed deletion of the file. It could still be restored with special paid software, which is exactly what the police have.
He immediately tore the hard drive out of the case and crushed it to hell. Now it is impossible to restore the recorded data, and the current session will be terminated automatically, since there is nowhere to save it - after all, the space has been destroyed.
Taiko also hurried to rewind the remains of the guard's hand with a belt and took the Taser from him. Taiko shot the first guard who appeared in the doorway with a gun as soon as he managed to come out from behind the corner. Having looked out, several more guards on the platform were waiting for a hand-to-hand thrashing.
An electric shock flew at Taiko from behind. An electric current ran through his body, he trembled for a moment, and his thoughts went astray in his head, but then he pulled the strings, pulling the guard.
- Did you think such cheap tricks would work on me?! - an angry Taiko held him by the neck. The blue face of the captured guard finally lost consciousness, rolling his eyes. - I could have broken your neck like a stick. Next time you'll thank me. Pathetic weak Worms. - he spat in the face of the guard. - And that's all?! - Taiko shouted throughout the warehouse.
- This is my territory, bitches! - he showed off a little more, until Giran called him.
- Hello, buddy. The Bee is already approaching, everything okay with you there?
- Green light. The place is clear, you can be cheeky and drive right up to the ramp. - Taiko smiled through his neck gaiter. - We have a great jackpot today, buddy.
- I understand perfectly well. - Giran lit a cigarette, smiling.
Taiko began to tie up the guards, throwing bags, films, or simply blindfolding them with cloth. In general, everything that was at hand. Before loading the material from the rack, Taiko collected all the tasers and pistols. After all, they cost money too.
Having opened the ramp, Taiko inhaled the city air while the truck backed up, approaching the protruding platform. -Here it is... What I live for. Fuck corpos in the ass.
Giran cautiously got out of the truck and climbed right onto the open ramp.
-Fuck me by the leg...- he saw the twisted and tied up guards of this warehouse. -I hope the cameras are not working. Oh, how I hope...
-Yeah. Your scoreboard is already on all the screens. Ha-ha! If you could see your face. Don't worry, they're off. I destroyed their "server". -Taiko was drunk and excited from the snatched jackpot.
-What happened, buddy? You're like on something!
-Yeah, I'm just high on all this. Let's get the material quickly and get out of here. And grab this thing...
-Forklift?
-Yeah.
Giran quickly drove up to the right rack, while Taiko was hanging on to the forklift's forks.
-Raise it higher.
Following the command, Giran flicked off his cigarette and raised the forks to the right level.
-Here are the two that need to be taken. They are the most valuable things here.
-There is nothing else valuable in the warehouse? We can load the whole truck!
-Remember the time. I doubt there is anything more valuable here. I saw suitcases, shoes, building materials, cosmetics...that seems to be all.
-Okay, then we'll only load this.
-It's amazing how the dumb corpos assumed that such easy prey could be placed in such an unprotected warehouse.
-They simply couldn't imagine that such an impudent Grimm would show up and take all the goods. This hasn't happened for a long time! Only the Yakuza dared to attack the Detnerat caravans, but then they were quickly crushed. If everything goes smoothly, consider yourself the first in years to have managed to pull it off. - Giran pulled out a pallet of super-strong carbon fabric and four boxes of plates.
- Don't worry, buddy, you can count on a share of 20% of what's sold. It's much more important for me to continue to cooperate with you. - Taiko thought that 20% was a well-deserved rate for Giran. Transportation is also a very important part of this plan.
- Oh, 20% is very generous of you. Consider that you did it all alone, I only have to pay for transportation and the leaked information.
Finally, in 5 minutes they loaded everything and quickly left. Taiko did not forget to call an ambulance for the injured guards from the guard's phone. Before closing the ramp. Taiko saw a can of red paint. Smiling evilly, the guy couldn't miss such a chance and drew the emblem invented by his followers on a large warehouse wall inside a black circle. A cartoon red bee on a black background.
The black truck left as suddenly as it appeared, leaving only a single trace on the camera, where there was a fictitious number, a non-existent car number. With such a number, you can drive without raising suspicion on an ordinary bright day, but such a number works until the first check by a police officer with an on-board computer and access to the database.
...
Grimm and Giran successfully hid the car in a service station outside the city, where Giran's trusted people took a small amount, quietly painted the truck, put Giran's official numbers on it, and even changed the shape of the bumper, which greatly changed the appearance of the truck.
Having finally found a parking lot within the borders of Musutafu, Giran parked the truck for the night, while he looked for clients among his old connections. Taiko grabbed a dozen plates and several meters of extra-strong fabric in a large bag.
-You, uh...trust me. I'll do the rest. You're probably tired.
On the one hand, it was impossible to leave the material alone with Giran, but on the other hand, a business relationship had already been formed between them and Giran seemed to even understand Taiko's value. It was much more profitable to continue maintaining the power of attorney. Besides, they had known each other for years, and Taiko even knew Giran's real name, a certain hook would help to dump Giran in case of betrayal. Of course, Taiko was not a rat, but still, let him know his place.
-Okay. Thank you.
