DND Realms: The Rise of the Titan-Dragon Prodigy

Chapter 439: Chapter 439: Privileged Creatures

With that cry, a powerful and graceful pure white bird, its long tail feathers trailing behind, soared from the Cloud Island amidst a storm and directly struck Dimogorgen, whose body had almost solidified into reality, having completed its descent.

The strong and powerful eagle claws deeply pierced Dimogorgen's two heads, dragging it across tens of kilometers in the air before slamming it heavily to the ground. Then, its beak, as tough as legendary metal, pecked straight down, boring a bloody hole right through Dimogorgen's nearly tangible phantom.

"The King of Winds!" In the brief moment it took for this to happen, Dimogorgen roared in surprise and anger. The speed of the King of Winds was unmatched; it was a colossal beast that controlled the power of the wind, its speed the limit for any creature in this world.

"How is there still a King of Winds?" Even Dimogorgen, a well-informed demon overlord, couldn't help but curse in frustration. What kind of luck did this undead creature have?

He had merely chosen to descend in the area that radiated the most vibrant life force, but he hadn't expected to encounter Titans and the King of Winds—creatures rare in number and overwhelming in battle power.

Had he known these monsters were here, Dimogorgen would never have descended to the material world from this location, to fight these creatures with no benefit. For Dimogorgen knew that with the combat power of his projection, he couldn't kill any Titan, let alone the King of Winds.

Of course, if it were his true form, Dimogorgen would definitely kill them to gain favor with the Abyssal Will.

"These material creatures are insane; they all like to hide their presence." Dimogorgen muttered resentfully. Before descending, he hadn't sensed the presence of the Titans or the King of Winds, although he did sense the ancient dragons, but he didn't care. What were dragons to him? He had killed countless before.

"Snap!" Caught off-guard by the King of Winds, who possessed the ultimate speed of the world, Dimogorgen reacted swiftly. His serpentine, tentacle-like long arms lashed out at the King of Winds as it pecked through him.

He was a demon overlord; combat and slaughter were almost instinctual for him, requiring no thought.

"Screech!" The King of Winds cried out in pain, releasing its claws, and instantly flashed several kilometers away into the sky.

In the skies above the capital, Scarlette, Muria was shocked by the King of Winds' awakening and sudden attack and marveled at its speed, which was so fast that even a demon overlord had no time to dodge.

However, Muria soon saw the alarming whip marks on the King of Winds' body; its pure white feathers wilted and darkened like falling leaves.

That was the attack of Dimogorgen, which carried with it the power to wither and drain energy.

"Don't worry, that's just a projection of Dimogorgen, not much stronger than the King of Winds," the Gold Dragon Mother reassured Muria, seeing the concern and anger on his face. "You see, it only drew a part of the power; no need to worry."

"Okay!" Muria frowned, responding. If it hadn't been for the Gold Dragon Mother's intervention, his avatar would have collapsed immediately; it wasn't as trivial as the Gold Dragon Mother made it sound.

Muria was well aware of his own strength; even in his true form clad in the holy armor of the imperial abyss, a strike from Dimogorgen's projection would mean instant doom.

Just as Muria was calculating his strength against the demon overlord's phantom, the pain-stricken King of Winds let out an angry cry. In the sky, a faint blue glow emerged and then surged into its body.

The rapidly withering feathers instantly stopped falling, and the muscles that had shrunk from the drained life force swiftly bulged back to normal, with new pure white feathers growing quickly at the bald spots.

"Law's Light?" Muria exclaimed in surprise and disbelief as he watched the pale blue light flowing into the King of Winds. "Isn't it said that only epics and divinities could wield such power? How can the King of Winds use it? This must be cheating, blatantly unfair to the demon overlord."

"Stop looking, you can't envy it," the Gold Dragon Mother patted Muria's shoulder. "That's their privilege."

The King of Winds, now bolstered by the law's light, glanced at Muria and then let out a lofty cry, charging at Dimogorgen's avatar.

Meanwhile, Muria, surrounded by ten ancient dragons, saw them manifest their true forms and join the fight against Dimogorgen.

"Aren't you joining them?" Muria looked at the still Gold Dragon Mother and the four Titans, recalling the King of Winds' glance that had signaled all the legendaries to join the battle against the Abyssal Lord's avatar.

"Too demeaning, little Muria," the Gold Dragon Mother, Atreis, shook her head. Even if it was just the avatar of a demon overlord, they deemed it beneath them to gang up; they were beings of immense pride.

Like the previous war that annihilated the Kingdom of Medis, when the Spider Queen descended her avatar, Titan Alek intervened, and the other three Titans refrained from joining the fray.

"I've already notified Lord Ulysses of the Abyss, so it's not our turn to step in." A Titan, examining Muria's ethereal body, smiled slightly, noting the demon-slaying sword within Muria's avatar.

"Lord Ulysses of the Abyss!" Upon hearing this title, Muria instantly felt relieved. With an epic Titan stepping in, the end of Dimogorgen's projection was certain, that was without a doubt. His only confusion was why an epic would personally intervene for a mere overlord's avatar.

"Roar!" "Screech!" The ancient dragons roared, and the King of Winds cried out, their massive forms colliding grotesquely with the Abyssal Lord, causing mountains to collapse, rivers to reverse, and the earth to tremble continuously—a cataclysm unfolding before Muria's eyes.

"Mother!" Muria turned towards the Gold Dragon Mother.

"Understood." With a wave of her staff, the Gold Dragon Mother lifted the capital city of Scarlette from the ground, sparing it from the earthquakes caused by the colossal creatures' battle.

"How much longer before Lord Ulysses arrives?" Muria couldn't help asking, seeing an ancient dragon flung by Dimogorgen, crashing to the ground, its dragon body withering, struggling to rise.

"He's already here." Ansol, another Titan, spoke up, looking towards the sky above Dimogorgen's head.
