Douluo Dalu: The World Suppressing Douluo

Chapter 111: Chapter 112: An Eye for an Eye

[T/N: 🥳HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS🎊Have a great year~]

Once again, Lin Ye released the Healing Light from his Nine-Spirit Celestial Tang Wuhun to restore the Blood Bat's vitality to a manageable level.

Watching as the Blood Bat regained some semblance of life and energy, Lin Ye asked coolly, "Speak. What did you do to Hu Liena? Why is she still unconscious?"

The Blood Bat, now partially revived and lying on the ground, let out a raspy laugh akin to a night owl. "Heh heh, kid, I'm an Evil Soul Master. Do you really think I'll just tell you?"

Lin Ye's response to this mockery was a faint, icy smile. "Not willing to talk, are you?"

He stepped forward, his tone turning colder. "I know you Evil Soul Masters don't fear death, but what about a fate worse than death? Let's see if you're brave enough to face that."

Without further ado, Lin Ye summoned his Nine-Spirit Celestial Tang once more, replenishing the Blood Bat's vitality. The decrepit creature's body began to revive, its dim eyes regaining their luster as its lifeforce coursed back. However, just as the Blood Bat's body responded with a surge of excitement, Lin Ye placed his right claw—now imbued with the power of the Devouring Ancestral Dragon Wuhun—on the Blood Bat and unleashed the Devouring Soul Skill.

A horrifying surge of devouring energy erupted, instantly draining the Blood Bat of all its vitality, soul power, and spiritual energy.

The brief rejuvenation disappeared as the Blood Bat's body once again withered, its eyes dimming as it hovered on the brink of death. Lin Ye paused, allowing the creature to feel the terror of its lifeforce slipping away. Then, with a cold smirk, he repeated the process.

Over and over again, Lin Ye cycled between restoring and draining the Blood Bat's vitality.

He knew some people could face death with courage. But the torment of hovering repeatedly between life and death? That was a suffering no one could endure.

As the agonizing cycle continued, the Blood Bat finally broke.

"I'll talk! I'll talk! Stop torturing me! Just kill me already!"

Revived once more, the Blood Bat screamed in desperation, its voice cracking with despair.

Lin Ye, unsurprised by the surrender, replied indifferently, "Speak."

"She… I only poisoned her! She's in a coma because of the poison, but I can wake her anytime I want!" the Blood Bat wailed, abandoning all resistance.

"Poison, is it?" Lin Ye nodded thoughtfully.

"Please! Kill me! I beg you! If you promise to kill me, I'll wake her!" The Blood Bat's voice trembled with both fear and hope as it pleaded.

The endless torment had utterly crushed his resolve. At first, he had welcomed death, refusing to betray the Evil Soul Masters. But the excruciating back-and-forth between life and death was a nightmare beyond endurance.

Lin Ye's gaze remained cold. "I'll ask you one last question. Answer it truthfully, and I'll end this."

Hearing this, the Blood Bat's eyes lit up. "Ask! Whatever you want, just ask!"

"Where is the Blood Infant? Your so-called Blood Infant Lord—do you know where he is now?" Lin Ye asked calmly.

The Blood Bat hesitated briefly but finally admitted, "I… I don't know. We Evil Soul Masters never stay in one place for long. When we need to contact him, we infuse soul power into the blood essence he gave us to send a signal. He then transmits a location where we can find him."

Lin Ye's eyes narrowed. "The blood essence—can we use it?"

"Yes, yes! Others can't, but I can force it out for you!" The Blood Bat frantically nodded, extending his emaciated right hand. With effort, he forced out a drop of crimson, gem-like blood from his fingertip.

Lin Ye waved his hand, capturing the blood essence into his spatial jade pendant.

"Infuse soul power into this, and it'll transmit the Blood Infant's location?" Lin Ye confirmed.

"Yes, but only soul power with dark or evil attributes will work. Anything else will destroy it," the Blood Bat clarified hurriedly.

"Good. Is that all?" Lin Ye asked.

"Yes, that's everything. Now, can you kill me?" The Blood Bat's eyes were filled with hope as he looked at Lin Ye, desperate for an end.

Lin Ye nodded slightly. "Very well."

But instead of delivering a clean death, Lin Ye reached down and removed a soul tool from the Blood Bat's waist. Infusing it with his Nine Yang True Qi, he summoned a scarlet vine tipped with sharp blossoms—a Bloodthirsty Vine.

"What are you doing? Get that thing away from me!" The Blood Bat panicked, his voice trembling as Lin Ye's actions dawned on him.

Lin Ye's cold tone cut through the air. "You preyed on countless innocents, offering them to this vine to cultivate its fruit. Now, it's your turn to experience what they did. Fair, isn't it?"

With that, Lin Ye created a shallow wound on the Blood Bat's body and placed the vine's end into it.

"No! Stop! Don't!" The Blood Bat's shrill cries filled the air as the Bloodthirsty Vine extended its crimson roots into his wound.

The vine began to greedily absorb his blood, rapidly growing stronger. Its roots thickened, and new branches sprouted, adorned with sharp thorns that pierced deeper into the Blood Bat's body.

"No! Please, no!" His screams turned into tortured wails as the vine grew, wrapping around him like a cocoon, its thorns driving into his flesh.

Under the relentless feeding of the Bloodthirsty Vine, the Blood Bat's body shriveled until, at last, he was reduced to a dried corpse.

The air was silent once more, save for the faint rustle of the vine's leaves.
