Douluo Starting with the Chaos Divine Examination

Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Yu Luomian, Liu Erlong, and Mu Chen

A month and a half had passed since the founding of the Tang Sect, and gradually, new disciples began to join. Among them, members from the four auxiliary clans—Strength Clan, Defense Clan, Speed Clan, and Attack Clan—accounted for the majority. These clans, once affiliated with the Clear Sky Sect, now operated as the four main halls of the Tang Sect.

While this arrangement benefited the growth of the Tang Sect, it posed a potential issue: the four clans were close-knit, and without a balancing influence, they could dominate the Tang Sect, possibly steering it away from Mu Chen's original vision.

To counterbalance this, Mu Chen had been diligently establishing six additional branches over the past month.

"Erlong, what did your father say?" Mu Chen asked as he held Liu Erlong close, his hand gently tracing her shoulder.

"He said he can't help you with this. The disciples of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan are proud and unlikely to submit to anyone," she replied.

Yes, Mu Chen's seventh Chaos Trial required him to subdue the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. With no other choice to complete the trial, Mu Chen needed to find a way to earn their loyalty.

"However," Liu Erlong continued, "Father mentioned he's the second-in-command of the clan and has about thirty loyal followers. He's willing to lead them into the Tang Sect."

Mu Chen chuckled, understanding Yu Luomian's intentions. Although Yu Luomian was the younger brother of Yu Yuanzhen, the clan leader, he had reached only the seventy-ninth level as a Soul Sage. Due to his limitations and laid-back personality, he'd never advanced to the Soul Douluo level, a source of inner frustration for him.

As Mu Chen expected, Liu Erlong added, "Father hinted that he'd like you to give him some explosive talismans so he could enter Slaughter City. From his tone, it sounds like he's aiming not only to obtain the Killing God Domain but also to break through to Soul Douluo—and maybe even reach Titled Douluo someday."

Mu Chen grinned, understanding the real reason for Yu Luomian's interest in Slaughter City's Hell Arena, where victors could absorb the soul power of defeated opponents. Such a chance was tempting for any soul master, provided they had Mu Chen's explosive talismans to ensure their safety in the harsh environment of Slaughter City.

"Mu Chen…" Liu Erlong looked at him intently.

Mu Chen knew exactly what she wanted. Liu Erlong hoped he would support her father by providing the talismans—after all, Yu Luomian was Mu Chen's future father-in-law.

Just as Liu Erlong was about to speak, Mu Chen pulled her in for a deep kiss, catching her by surprise.

She gasped, then gradually melted into his embrace, wrapping her arms around him. But just as things were heating up, Liu Erlong's eyes widened when Mu Chen's hands began to wander.

"Wait, I'm… I'm all sweaty!" she protested, her cheeks flushed.

"Hmm?" Mu Chen paused, a hint of mischief in his voice.

"I was training hard this morning—I haven't even freshened up. It's… not the right time," she said, flustered.

Mu Chen chuckled and released her, standing up.

"About my father…?" she asked hesitantly.

"We'll see. But my goal is not just the loyalty of a few individuals from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. I want the entire clan to join the Tang Sect."

Before she could respond, Mu Chen continued, "I have a wager with Bibi Dong. Within three years, I must establish a power greater than the Spirit Hall. If I fail, I lose—and with that, the chance to have her agree to a condition that could finally resolve the conflict between her and Xiao Wu."

The Spirit Hall controlled a vast portion of the soul master world, and surpassing it would be no small feat. Mu Chen knew that if he wanted to win, he needed more than just the support of the four auxiliary clans. Securing the allegiance of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan was essential.

"What's on your mind?" Mu Chen asked, noticing the curious look Liu Erlong gave him.

"Every time… every time, you start something and just leave me wanting more. You stir up my heart, and then… nothing," she said with a mix of frustration and affection.

Mu Chen blinked, realizing her meaning. Liu Erlong wasn't referring to her father's request—she meant the unfulfilled desire that always lingered between them.

It wasn't only Liu Erlong who felt this way; Mu Chen did, too. Surrounded by incredible women like Xiao Wu, Liu Erlong, and his talented apprentice Tang Yuehua, he often had to resist his own urges to keep his promises.

He chuckled awkwardly. "You thought I was going to help your father, didn't you?"

Liu Erlong nodded.

"Don't worry. I'm committed to the promises I make. If I say it's yours, it's yours. And if I don't give it, no one can demand it from me," Mu Chen said, though he could see she still hoped he'd eventually assist Yu Luomian.

"Master!" came a voice from outside the room.

"Yes?" Mu Chen replied.

"The Spirit Hall delegation is leaving today. Their envoy requested a final meeting with you," the disciple reported.

"A meeting with you?" Liu Erlong frowned, looking at Mu Chen with concern. "Hu Liena kept her distance from you before—why would she suddenly ask to see you? Could it be a trap?"
