Scene: Goku's House - Morning

The sun rises over the mountains as the birds chirp. Goku is lounging on the couch while Chi-Chi is busy in the kitchen. Goten walks into the dining room, grabbing a quick bite of toast.

Goten: Mom, I'm heading over to Trunks' house, so I might be late coming back.

Chi-Chi: [turning around] Late? Goten, you've been running around a lot lately. Don't forget, we have a party at Bulma's in two days. I don't want you staying out too late and skipping your chores.

Goten: [grinning] Don't worry, Mom. I'll be back in time. I promise!

Chi-Chi: [sighing] You're as carefree as your father. Just don't make me call you five times to remind you!

Goten: Got it, Mom! See you later!

Goten runs outside, powers up into Super Saiyan for a moment to stretch, and then flies off toward Capsule Corp.

Scene: A Quiet Lake - Morning

Goku is sitting by a calm lake, leaning back against a tree with his arms behind his head. The sunlight sparkles on the water. He looks completely relaxed until a familiar voice calls out.

Piccolo: So, this is how you're "resting," huh?

Goku opens one eye and smiles.

Goku: Hey, Piccolo! Yeah, I'm taking it easy for a whole week. Chi-Chi's orders.

Piccolo lands beside Goku, crossing his arms.

Piccolo: A whole week? That doesn't sound like you. What's the catch?

Goku: [laughing] No catch! Just spending time with the family and eating good food. Besides, I promised Chi-Chi I wouldn't train.

Piccolo: [raising an eyebrow] That's the real surprise. You actually made a promise and plan to keep it?

Goku: [grinning] Hey, I keep my promises... most of the time. So, what brings you here?

Piccolo: Just checking in. It's been peaceful lately, almost too peaceful. I thought you'd be busy training for the next big fight.

Goku: [looking at the water] I've been training plenty, but I guess even I need a break sometimes. Besides, I can't shake this feeling that something big is coming. I just don't know what yet.

Piccolo: [serious] Hmph. You've always had good instincts about these things. Let's hope whatever it is, it's not another disaster.

Goku: [smiling] If it is, we'll handle it. We always do!

The two sit quietly for a moment, enjoying the calm, before Goku suddenly perks up.

Goku: Hey, Piccolo, you should come to Bulma's party in a couple of days! Chi-Chi says it's gonna be a big one.

Piccolo: [smirking] A party, huh? I'll think about it.

Piccolo floats up and flies away, leaving Goku to relax by the lake.

Scene: Flying to Capsule Corp - Morning

Goten is flying through the sky, the wind rushing past him. He pulls out his phone mid-flight and calls Trunks.

Goten: Hey, Trunks! I'm on my way.

Trunks: [on the phone] Good! Hurry up, though. I have a few more details about what I overheard. I couldn't tell you everything over the phone.

Goten: [excitedly] Really? Now you've got me curious! I'm almost there.

Trunks: Alright, just land in the garden when you get here.

Goten: Got it!

Goten powers up to pick up speed, leaving a streak of energy in the sky.

Scene: Capsule Corp Garden - Morning

Trunks is waiting outside in the garden, pacing back and forth. He spots Goten flying toward him and waves.

Trunks: Finally! Took you long enough.

Goten lands with a grin.

Trunks: [lowering his voice] Let's go inside first. I don't want anyone overhearing us.
